2015 and It's Now or Never!

Hello Em. It sounds like you have had a really positive day. Smashing. I went swimming this morning and did my 40 lengths and then a brisk walk for 25 minutes so felt good. Hope you sleep well. Mo

Evening Em,

I'm can imagine your surprise at your client turning up and being a little person. I would think she'd have mentioned it - since she was inquiring about alterations.

I hope your have a lovely Mothering Sunday and your scan yields positive results.

Morning Emm - won't be long and the scan will be over. Will you stay near to where you are just now, or will you have to move further afield?

Hope you have a good Sunday and that all is over easily tomorrow.

Keep us posted.

Hi Mo, Much better now thanks... Must get back into doing a bit of swimming or at least join the aqua class as it's at the UEA which is just round the corner from me and is particularly for people who are somewhat disabled.

Evening Emm,

Afternoon Mel, Alterations are no problem whatever the size or shape come to that.
Mothering Sunday?! What's that? (being sarcy) Never had anything on Mothers day so not likely to start getting anything now either!

Afternoon Carol, Not in the least bit worried or concerned about the scan... as far as the moving goes.. I have no idea where that might be and it won't matter anyway... and one of the great things will be that I can then get a mobility scooter so I'll be able to get around a lot more.

Afternoon Em,

Well, from one mother to another -- thank you or having one that is often an underrated and unappreciated job.

A Mobility Scooter sounds like fun. I'm sure that'll be worthwhile.

It was sunny and quite warm here for a bit.

Evening!

Funny photo!

Morning Emm - mobility scooter sounds like a good idea - I am guessing you would keep your car too for getting further afield. Do you drive when you come to Scotland? Edinburgh is currently at the top of my "Worst place in the UK to drive" list! Much worse than Glasgow.

Good luck with the scan

Morning Em,

It looks like the sun is trying to burn through -- fingers crossed that it will.

Bath was worse!

Hello Em- Hope everything went well with the check up. I hope they are happy with the results. Mo

Evening Carol, My days of long distance driving are well over... I take the train.
Wouldn't want to give up my car if at all possible.
Thanks for good wishes about the scan.

Evening Mel, Not much sun was there but it has been very warm anyway.

Morning Emm,

Hope all goes well for you this afternoon.:)

Evening Mary, All went well thankyou.

Evening Mo, No results given to me but thanks for you kind thoughts.

Monday 31st March 2014

Weighed myself this morning in my nightie only and it was 190.8lbs... hospital scales.. weighed with clothes and shoes on.. 188.8lbs..
 Think I'll stick with mine.

Must admit that the scan was not a nice experience. I had some medication that made my heart thump, could hardly breathe and pains across my chest which was intravenously fed into me for about 5mins. Apparently the Pm didn't switch in at all so I wondered whether it was working. Mentioned the fact of one of the leads not being correctly placed and was then told that it was because of that this scan was being done so they could reconsider the matter as to it being done again.
Then I was left in the waiting area for an hour where I ate my "fatty" sandwich that I was told to bring and then taken in for the actual scan. I had to hold my arms up above my head which was extremely painful for my left arm and altho' it was only for 20mins it seemed like an hour.
Now feeling rather exhausted and altho' I was told I would be back to normal afterwards I fail to see how having put my heart under stress which I am not used to seeing as how I am not used to doing a lot of strenuous exercise, I can then go back to not having any further affects. So that means another very early bed time.. :zz:

Called in to chip shop for fish and chips which were delish especially with lashings of salad cream! ..followed by a large chunk of milk chocolate.:D

I'll visit diaries tomorrow... honest injun'!

Hello Em. The fish and chips sounded an excellent idea after your hospital experience. I hope they let you know their decision soon. You must be exhausted. Take care. Mo:)

Evening Em,

That sounds like torture. I can't believe they put you through all that -- I hope you get a good report.

Morning Em,

Morning Emm - what a horrible day for you. Hope you had a good night and are feeling better this morning. Will catch up after work.

Tuesday 1st April 2014

Thanks ladies for all your comments and support... So glad I didn't know before hand what the scan was going to be like. Picking up a few things that were sort of whispered between the two nurses they were saying that the pm had not switched in and as I left I was given a form about returning for the second half of the scan! (date to be advised) .. .. Wonder what that's about!?! Seems that a re-do is still in the offing methinks.
Had a very good sleep.. and VERY soundly too... Very odd sort of awakening as I heard this cheery voice say "morning!" and could have sworn someone had come into my room... not a frightening thing at all in fact nice to be woken up by a cheery voice even if it was imaginary.. :D

Lovely sunny day and going out is a must.

After Nelli's comment about whether I drive to Edinburgh.. got me thinking and I've decided that I will fly. Train journey to Edinburgh is a very long and tedious journey plus the flight will be around mid-day which is great for me so really pleased with that idea plus I won't have the aggravation of dealing with the luggage either. Also thinking of advertising for someone to bring a wheelchair and push me up the Golden Mile and wait in the queue which will be the only other thing that will be hard for me. Leaving afterwards will be okay being as it will be downhill of course.

I'm sure you can tell I'm feeling much better with all this rambling..

Morning! You do sound cheery! Makes me smile. Edinburgh is a tough place to walk around -- very hilly. Good idea to use a chair.

This really is nonsense about the pacemaker - surely they know what they are doing though it doesn't sound like it at all.

Incidentally, I was in a hospital waiting room yesterday (not as a patient but waiting to see someone about some work we are doing) - there was one of these moving signs that announced that one doctor had a waiting time of 60 minutes and a second between 60 and 120. Now you can understand them running behind, BUT - there were about 6 people waiting and it was a quarter to nine in the morning  What the heck was that all about ????
