Could you use a car service to airport that would provide some assistance?

It is very nice to have someone wash your hair.

I always try to sit just behind the wing, so I can watch the flaps, and I listen intently for the landing gear to go up and come back down. Then once we're down - I'm waiting anxiously for them to reverse the thrusters. I think taking flight lessons does not help - you just know what all can go wrong.

Evening Mel, I always have a taxi to and from the airport wherever I am.
Gosh.. I thought I was bad enough but I don't go to that lengths Mel.. in fact I love looking out of the window and seeing the landscape as we come down.
Going up I shut my eyes and count to 20 .. or however long it takes! The other thing I don't like is when they turn and the plane goes on it's side.. now that really makes me feel ill!

Heard most of the C&W music this morning.. apart from when I dozed off for 1/2 an hour! :sigh: .. but very enjoyable.

Did a quick tidy up and sorted the kitchen so I could concentrate on the knitting but then came on here... 3hrs later I've still not started any.

Need to download another security "thing" for this comp but keep putting it off as I usually end up getting lots of other things that change and get in a right pickle .. IYKWIM!

Very pleased that my weight is now at a new low and hoping that it keeps like that till Monday.. Given me a good boost to keep to a proper menu.

Not very bright feeling today..for all the usual reasons.

Very annoyed that I received another letter from the hospital yesterday with a new appointment day for the colonoscopy and they have booked me in for 10am on the 16th May.. and that after having a long and detailed conversation with their receptionist emphasizing that I wanted an afternoon!! I shall ring them tomorrow and no doubt they will be telling me that I have to go to the bottom of the list now but tbh.. I really don't give a hoot!.. I am not going to be dictated to. :(

Well, on a better note my youngest D phoned and we had a very nice chat so that made me feel better. Nice to know that she is concerned about me continuing to stay here as the stairs outside in the hallway are those stone ones and if I were to fall down them it could cause me a lot of injury.

Also had phone call from a young lady that is going to come round tomorrow and show me how to use my "new" phone and the Tablet as well. Very pleased about that and looking forward to it.

Tried to do something different for dinner tonight using some smoked haddock but it didn't turn out very well but managed to force about half of it down..
That really pisses me off when I take the trouble to make something and it turns out like nothing on earth.. :argh:

Don't shout at them too loud Emm - when I had mine it had to be after fasting, so they like to do them in the morning.
Fingers crossed that the scales are kind tomorrow. But by the sounds of it they should be if your fish didn;t tun out as nice as you expected.

Afternoon Bev.. I know that they do them in the afternoon as the very first app I had was afternoon and I had talked to the receptionist about having the pm one. She did bring up about my being Db but I assured her I would be okay. Glad I didn't get grumpy with her as she remembered our talk and is going to give me another one for the pm.

Afternoon Carol, Getting it over early would be good but I have to think about the possibility of my back being very bad as it affects my ability to walk into the hospital let alone anything else.

Had a lovely young lady call and helped me in setting up my Tablet and my "new" phone. She asked me when had I bought the phone and had a real laugh when I told her it was about 5yrs ago. She's going to call back next Monday to see how 'm getting on in case I still need some more help. Very pleased about that.

Made a smoked haddock gratin with the rest of the fish from yesterday. Put spinach in the bottom of the dish and covered with the fish and then a mix of cream, cheese and spring onions accompanied by peas and rice.. really delish but quite sickly... I think I put too much cream in as my scales went wrong just as I was measuring it so had to guess... but I'm not complaining after yesterday's fiasco.

Glad that they are going to changethe appointment for you though - as I do know what you mean about mornings not alwasy being good.
It can often take me a while to get going when it's cold.

I can just imagine the girl's amusement at you having a phone a) that is five years old (ancient in technology time) and b) that you'd had all that time and still weren't sure about it's uses. :D My son mocks me over things like this.

My DH rebuilt a friend of mine's phone because they no longer make the model (or one similar) and she only knew how p text with the slide to expose qwerty keyboard. Change is hard!

Morning Mary, Not exactly up and running..still at the very tentative stage of exploring especially as I find I am so ham fisted! My entry yesterday that says "everything going well" was originally something done on the tablet but ended up being a lot of gobbled-gook so I changed it... I'll get there eventually. :D

I had tried many a time but never really got anywhere except ending up mistakenly phoning my D who had put her number on there.. :rolleyes:
At least I do know that I have learned quite a lot about the computer which took me several years to go near it... at least more than many my age anyway.

I now have to get a new sim card and see about the "pay as you go" as well which I have on my old phone. Had thought about going today but I'll most probably wait till tomorrow as then my home help will get the rollator down the stairs for me so I can then use it.
 
Tues contd:

Have been quite busy.. changed my bed linen and put in the wash along with other washing so that's all ready for my lady to iron for me tomorrow.
Finished putting together my rollator and sorted a few things in the bedroom for the rubbish. Put away some of my clothes in their appropriate draws.. I tend to fold them up neatly and leave them in a pile which has been getting far too high.
Did a few more rows of knitting but I've found that since having gout in my hands my fingers get sore very quickly so may well make a dress as I have lots of materials, ribbons and lace left over from when I did my doll making.

Just remembered that the endoscopy is being done on Thursday .. :doh: .. say no more!

Meals all went well again..
