I used to make rag dolls for my God children (just the girls
) and my nieces years ago using a Simplicity pattern, and found a copy on eBay a couple of years back. Have always intended to make them for my God daughters twins, but somehow never seem to have the time. Maybe later on in the year when the nights draw in.

"Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit!"
Does anyone else say that at the beginning of each month? I can't remember where I got it from but it has become quite a superstitious habit.
More importantly.. thanks everyone for your good wishes for today.
Woke up with a bit of a sore throat which is not going to help matters very much.
Yesterday I went into the city and got the sim card from a Vodafone shop and boy ..are they slow! I've been in their shops several times before and they haven't improved at all. Took him ages to just produce a receipt. Very glad that I took my rollater so I was able to sit down... and when I went to the Theatre to book a ticket for "Dance 'til Dawn" there was a long queue. Performance will be at the end of June.
After a trip to Tesco I came home and again it was great not to have to carry my shopping indoors even tho' it was only a few things.
Took me a little while to make room in my shed which did nearly do my back in but it's great having that just to walk with as it makes it so much easier.
Now beginning to feel a bit hungry but I think that's because I know I'm restricted.. :sigh:
Another lovely sunny day here..and quite warm so no coat needed this afternoon.. does make such a difference not to have to be bundled up in a coat.
Back soon..

Morning Mel, I was told straight away that there was nothing to be concerned about apart from my having a hiatus hernia which I new anyway. The biopsy results should be with my doc within 2-3 days.
My very short post yesterday was because I was using my tablet and still finding it a bit difficult.

Morning Emm,Hope you've had a good nights sleep after your day yesterday.
Morning Mary, Slept for a couple of hours when I got home and then wide awake until the early hours but did get to bed again about 4am.
Still finding it uncomfortable when I swallow but most probably because I already had a bit of a sore throat. I was quite amazed at how much spray I was given but it was all good as I didn't feel anything as the tube was going in but it was when it was being manipulated in my stomach that I gagged the most.
Thankfully all done so I just have the nether regions procedure to look forward to on the 19th..

I'm another night owl - I also went to bed at 4am this morning.
It's a reet pain as the rest if the world just do not understand and just tell me to go to bed.
I've tried and I just toss and turn for hours on end.
Had afternoon off work yesterday as went a bit funny after lunch so went in at 5am this morning instead. Got to go back at 3pm but then thats it until Tuesday afternoon.Hopefully what I've caught goes as fast as it's come.
I feel sick,cold and shivering.I was cold at work this morning which is unusual for me.OH is working from home so I can't do anything.
So just relax - if you're not feeling too good do you have to go back this afternoon?

I feel sick,cold and shivering.I was cold at work this morning which is unusual for me.OH is working from home so I can't do anything.
If I don't go back this afternoon I either have to take a day off sick or go in Tuesday 5am.At the mo I have no sick record as any time I've been 'off' I've covered staff that are ill so cleaning supervisor doesn't put me off as sick.No staff is off sick so we can't do that next week.

Yes it's supposed to be warm for the bank holiday and I'm always pleased for working people that they can enjoy a nice day.
I've got to the realisation that it's far better to just get up and do something that's not energetic at all like sorting out papers or playing scrabble on my Nintendo DS rather than keep doing things to try to sleep.
As far as old Arthur Ritis I've taken some tabs to ward him off so I can get on with a few things. Pesky nuisance at the best of times.
Hope the knee soon eases up Bev.. you have my sympathy! ..

Phone call from couple to say they will be round at about 2pm to do the gardening that I want done... Yay!! Arrived and did a great job apart from having pointed out the plants that I wanted kept and looking out of the window at one stage I saw everything was going well but then finally when I looked the maidenhair fern had all been pulled out. It's such a pretty dainty little fern and a good space filler too and it's now left quite a big empty patch.. :argh: .. so annoying. I had to go downstairs to show them what were plants so I'm not totally surprised about it and glad that most of them survived.
Delighted that I was able to update my Kaspersky security system without too much hassle. ... it being a bit of a struggle for me not being totally techy knowledgeable.
Throat still a bit at odds and had a coughing fit when I was eating my lunch.. :sigh:

Everything went fine today and I was just thinking about my friend who moved to Bury St Edmonds, the phone rang and it was her.. amazingly! So we are meeting up tomorrow which is great.
Went out and bought a cover for my tablet from Argos then had a stroll round Hobby Craft and just outside was an ice cream van with those lovely whipped icecreams which I've been longing to have for some time now so that was a must... and then Tesco for a few groceries and fell foul of a large bar of chocolate as well... very yummy..
Got home and did a bit of weeding in the garden while I was waiting for someone to call and collect a half roll of roofing felt but fed up with waiting I left it outside the shed, came upstairs and within a couple of minutes she arrived.
Needless to say my calorie count has waaay exceeded my allowance but another day tomorrow and worse things at sea!
