Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Hmm... I look forward to stealing your slow cooker ideas!!
Curries are my complete favourite for slow cookers - especially beef and lamb, the meat just falls apart.
I've never tried any veggie meals in there though so will be interesting to hear how your sweet potato curry goes

Woohoo - here are some more bunnies for your dance!!

Well done you !!!!

Thanks Sarah :)

Lots of short term targets too... I want:

- Silver body magic award next Monday if I can get off my backside this week
- another 2lb off in the next 2 weeks to get 1.5 stone award
- 2lb in the next 2 weeks will also put me in the 160s (just!! 169lb)
- 4lb in the next 4 weeks which would see me drop (just) into the 11 stone somethings

One pound a week should be achieveable but only if I stop being naughty. I think they need security at Hotel Chocolat to keep me out ;)

They're really good targets - you can easily lose 1lb a week
You go girl!!

:) Thank you :)

:) Monday - green

Breakfast - banana mid-morning

Lunch - leftover mixed bean chilli with rice
pear, apple

Snack - apple, fibre plus bar (HexB)
Icing offcuts (5 syns?)

Dinner - Cajun red bean soup, 3 ryvita (HexB) with philidelphia (HexA)
Mini fudge bar (3 syns)

Total syns: 8

Well, soup was nice from the slow cooker, not AMAZING but nice enough. Not going to delegate the slow cooker to the back of the cupboard quite yet!

Can't believe I've lost 10% of my body in 4 months! Smug smug smug. Got lots of short term weight loss goals for the next few weeks too (see my post from earlier) so that should help me stick to plan :)

well done on the club 10!

woo hoo, con-grat-u-la-tions (sung in a Cliff Richard styly) well done on that club 10 Mrs...
Just 1 thing I would remember with a slow cooker is that the liquid doesn't "boil away" as quickly as traditional methods, so I tend to use less liquid than I ordinarily would ... if that makes sense

Hi! Just thought I would let you know that ive been thinking about what you said about slimming world being possible for me and have decided to give it another go with a few of my own adjustments to suit my diet. Really just wanted to say thank you!

Woweeeee, well done hun and welcome to the club 10 club, hehe. Proud of you. Am tempted by the slow cooker thing but as I'm only cooking for one I'm not sure... x

Thank you!!
I think maybe I did put too much water in the soup, thinking it would boil away.... Now I know for next time!

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S PCS!

over the moon for you and love your short term targets

i agree re slowcook, you don't need to add as much liquid as it doesn't boil away so things can become a bit too watery

Sometimes a girl really does just need chocolate...
With the slow cooker, I always add some instant mash near the end to thicken the sauce a bit. This works for curries and casseroles, not sure if it would for soup...

That's OK Kat, you can double post a woohoo anytime ;)
:banana dancer:Hee hee, thanks Donna, that picture always makes me chuckle.
And thanks for the top tip Sarah, I might have to pick up some instant mash...

:) Wednesday - green

Breakfast - banana mid-morning

Lunch - leftover pasta from last night (HexB for tuna and HexA for cheese)
apple, pear

Snack - apple and fibre plus bar (HexB)
half a honeydew melon (when I got in.... better than yesterday's chocolate methinks !)

Dinner - jacket potato with baked beans and cheese (HexA)
Mini milk (1.5 syns)

Total syns: 1.5

Had a low-syn day to counteract yesterdays chocothon. Also, went to the doctor for annual pill prescription and got a serious-toned mention about how overweight I am which upset me a bit, as I've never had a telling off before, even at nearly 2 stone heavier!

Makes me determined to be a healthy BMI this time next year when I have to go back - 2 stone to go :)
