Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

Thank you!
The man at the garage said that while they couldn't find anything wrong with it, the only way to find out is to start driving it again as normal. I'm planning on going up to Newcastle tomorrow night for the weekend so I hope that I don't breakdown somewhere on the A1! I hope that if today's commute all goes OK that that'll be the 'all clear' for my car :)

Good luck!! I will send happy car thoughts to you

Hope you have a hassle free journey dude.x

Thank you! Well, it seems to be running like a dream now, and temperatures are meant to rise this weekend so all sorted I think.

:) Thursday - red

Breakfast - banana

Lunch - Curried BNS and swede soup, pear, apple

Snacks - Alpen light bar (3 syns), apple, pear

Dinner - two pieces of toast (HexB x 2) with spread (2 syns) and little bit of peanut butter (2 syns)

Went to the gym too, and did my 5km in 39 minutes 50 seconds... Broken the 40 minutes barrier!

Thanks girls! I'm not sure 'running' 5km would be the technical term though , it's more of a waddle at the best of times! I alternate 90 seconds of walking with 60 seconds of running. Which is why it takes me so long ;) .
I have never been a good runner though and am hoping that this will do my heart some good :)

Well Newcastle was really good, it is so nice to catch up with people you haven't seen in a while! Didn't stick to plan (especially not with the wine!) but think I am learning to make better choices. For example, at a buffet party we went to I ate pasta salad, potato salad etc, instead of crisps and pizza slices. We also did lots of walking, from Gateshead into town and back a couple of times.

Anyhow, with a little bit of help from * week (I seem to be the only one who is helped out my her TOTM!) I have lost 1lb this week!

Would be great to lose one more this week, but I am off to the pub tomorrow night and have work Christmas do on Thursday so I'm not sure I can do it. I'll do my best and an STS would be just fine! :)

:) Monday - red

Breakfast - carrots, celebration (2 syns)

Lunch - leftover pasta (HexB x 2) with bolognese

Snacks - carrots, celebrations

Dinner - roasted BNS with red onion, spinach and feta cheese (HexA x 2)
Twix finger

Had planned to go to the gym but went food shopping after a late finish at work and didn't finish eating until half past eight. And then I really couldn't drag myself off the sofa and justified it by thinking I would probably have got a big stitch anyway so soon after eating ;)

What an interesting breakfast lol ;)

Glad you had a fab time in Newcastle - and well done on your buffet choices!
Where are you off to for your xmas do and what are you wearing?

Hee hee... Well, because I went away for the weekend I was left with no fruit for the day. Hence the carrots. And as for the celebrations, our office seems to be receiving a new tin every day from some visitor or other.... And my will power is flagging at the mo....

You look fab in your photo! In fact, I'm going to head over to your diary to tell you again :)

:) Tuesday - red (another one!)

Breakfast - banana mid-morning

Lunch - HM carrot and coriander soup, 5 scan bran (HexB), cottage cheese and a tomato.

Snacks - fruit, Weetabix oaty bar (HexB)

Dinner - speedy prawn curry
fromage frais and sweetener

Off to the pub after my dinner with coursemates from college, so there goes my syns! :)

Oooh enjoy your trip to the pub.
Isn't it funny how leading up to Christmas midweek pub trips and subsequent hangovers are suddenly ok when you'd never consider it normally!

Hey you've got some nice looking soups in your menus :) I make the mistake of cooking up a veg one on the weekend and have it for alll week, by friday I'm fed up!!! Looking good x

Thanks Sarah, but pub trip was postponed until next week. I still didn't make it to the gym though... sat on the sofa with chocolate instead... Christmas laziness has definitely set in...

Hi Gobolino, I do the same - if I'm making soup, I may as well make a CAULDRON full! By day 3 it gets a bit much! I don't seem to be the best soup-chef in the world either, it can often be a bit bland... But thanks anyway!

And thanks Kelly....although that lb has definitely been regained since Monday - I just can't keep away from the chocolate at the moment...

I'm having a green day today to try and curb my munchies :)

:) Wednesday - green

Breakfast - banana

Lunch - apple, banana

Dinner - omelette, chips (oven chips - oh dear...) and spaghetti hoops
chocolate orange (yep, a whole one - oh dear oh dear)

Had a rubbish day yesterday, having some 'digestive issues' shall we say so I booked an emergency GP appointment for after work. Turns out I have an infected absess which he drained (gross - TMI, I am sorry) and gave me tons of antibiotics. He then wanted to see me again this morning to decide whether to send me into hospital.
Well, the antibiotics seem to be working their magic so I'm back in the office this afternoon. Phew.

More worryingly still, I did eat a whole chocolate orange last night. And I didn't even feel ill. Went into Tesco this morning to sneakily replace it (so OH doesn't think I'm a pig) and they've sold out!! So I'll have to confess. Oink.
Christmas party tonight - I'll have to do some serious dancing to burn that off :)

Sorry to hear about that - sounds very yucky and painful. Glad you're feeling better already!
And don't feel guilty - after all Christmas IS the time for chocolate oranges (well chocolate in general actually)

Mmmm, I love chocolate orange.. don't beat yourself up though hun, just have plently of fruit and water etc, so what if you have a gain, it's xmas and you know how to lose it in january x

Thank you!!!

Well, weekend was totally off plan too. had my sis and her hubbie over for a pre-Christmas Christmas dinner on Saturday evening, and I also seem to be seriously addicted to chocolate at the moment. Cannot get enough.

Scales are saying 175 but I don't want to change my ticker it 'cos I'm in denial. Will update stats 03.01.11 when I get back on plan... :)
