At goal & now beyond... 5:2 officially rocks!

Thanks Tara honey you're too kind with all you're going through today to think of me!!!

So as suspected scales up 1lb but I refuse to stress about it I will just concentrate on a good up day today simples.... I knew I'd overeaten & more importantly over carbed yesterday so it was always gonna happen.....
 
Well after poking prodding & internally probing she can't find anything wrong at scan. Good I suppose but means I have to put up with horrible periods x
 
I'm glad they didn't find anything wrong, Lexie, but sorry you'll have to go on suffering. :( I presume you've explored all the various options? I haven't had a period since I started having the contraceptive jab (Depo Provera) years ago, and I have to say I don't miss them one little bit! :) xx

See I'm a bit of a pain & I don't do the pill etc I'm very against pumping my body full of hormones.... I'm going to see an acupuncturist hopefully next week to see if she can help x

Ah right! I'm a walking pharmacy myself, lol. :D I hope the acupuncture helps- I've never tried it. :) xx
 
I had acupuncture on my wrist when it was bad 18 months ago & within 2 sessions it was sorted I no pain since. I'm a bit strange & see a herbalist & all sorts. Blame my mum x

Lol, we all find our own way, don't we?! I saw a homeopath years ago for my ME, but that's the only alternative therapy I've tried. :) xx
 
The herbalist is a very good friend of my mum & up to now the only thing she's not managed to treat for me was my weight but that was a psychological thing really.

That's really good, fingers crossed you can get some relief this time. I've suffered really badly from period and PMS problems in the past, and saw a specialist for a while years back, but it was the Depo jab which was a real miracle for me. I had to stop them when I was 50 (boo!) and go onto the mini-pill, but thankfully my periods never started back up! :) xx
 
Thanks hon, I actually only went to docs about mid cycle bleeding so when we were talking I told her how heavy I am (have been a few years but just put up with it) so she wanted me to have a scan. The mid cycle thing was my concern but nowt to worry about luckily...
 
Ok tracked everything in my diary last night then for some unknown reason at 930pm I had a huge binge!!!! This is why I normally go to bed early. I are about 800 cals in 30 minutes! Crisps, sweets, coconut. Absolutely disgusting & as a result the scales are 2lb up from official but it's ok I deserved it & hopefully it will focus me today...
 
I'm the same, there's a time of night where I need to remove myself from downstairs else I'd Hoover anything up in sight.

Why do we do it? We aren't really hungry I had already eaten 3 times what I do on a dd so I didn't need it! Going to try & have a 12-1300 cal today to pull it back a bit...

You've done really well getting straight back into fasting after your holiday. A holiday normally knocks me off any diet for weeks. You're so near goal now, it must feel fab to be near the end of your journey.

Thanks, normally a holiday for me means an 7-8lb gain followed by another 4-6lbs when I get back & can't get back on it but I fasted my diet day back which kicked me straight back on it & I lost all but 1/4lb of my gain in 5 days. Was just a bit silly yesterday but today has been just under 1400 cals & tomorrow will likely be similar. Just made salmon & ginger fish cakes for my lunch. Have done about 4 hours of housework & tidying today followed by over 4 hours of ironing, I'm knackered!!!
 
Well scales 11:8:25 this morning which is much better. Today will probably be around 1400 but no real exercise to speak of (am currently lounging on my bed watching vampire diaries) I'm hopeful that I should get a loss this week though
