Back to Slimming World! I WILL lose the weight!

Oh dear oh dear oh dear!!!

I have completely fell off the wagon!!! Last week was a horrendous week for eating. I've eaten so badly! Luckily I've only gained about 1/2 pound but I think it may catch up with me this week. I had a birthday outing for a friend, a meal out with my brother and sister in law on Sat, baked a cake, and ate too much bread (white!).

Well I have decided to stick to an EE diet for the time being. I know it doesn't really aid in my loss but I think it will help me maintain. I'm just too busy with work./freelance work to be planning out meals lately. So I need to EE plan to stay on track. I also never have time for the gym as I'm just always working! :(

EE plan for the day:

Breakfast: OSS

Lunch: Mugshot, 2 x babybel Hex A, greek yogurt 0.5 syns

Dinner: Steak, wedges, vine tomatoes & salad

Snacks: Sushi 1.5 syns, alpen 3 syns, rolo dessert 9.5

Syns: 14.5 plus I ate the rest of the cake from the weekend.... at least none left now! 30ish?!?!

Week: 30/105

Cold weather really does bring on the munchies!

Breakfast: Scrambled egg with smoked salmon, 1 x toast Hex B, ketchup 1 syn

Lunch: Jacket potato with beans, 2 baby bel Hex A, muller

Dinner: Diet coke chicken with rice. Yorkie or toffee penny dessert 9.5 syns

Snack: Greek yog 0.5 syns, popcorn, 1 syn

Syns 12

Week total: 42/105

Wishing you well Rachel - I know how hard this can be. x

Totally agree that the cold brings cravings. I suppose naturally, our body wants to protect itself from cold and habit dries it to food. I bought some sugar crystals and measure 10gr (2 tsp) and carry them in my bag and when I get sugar craving stuck on a couple of crystals - better than eating sweets.

Why not making some soup and take to work with you - when you get the munchies put a cup in the microwave and you have a lovely warming cup of soup. This is how I make mine (Chicken bones, lots of veg, salt pepper an dsome spices - boil until cooked, then turn off and leave overnight as it tastes much better following day. Take bones out and portion them out for fridge or freezer). Free on EE. I always have soup in the freezer.

Soup sounds like a fab idea! I'll need to invest in some time to do that. Will be good to snack on if I have a craving! Thank you for the tip :)

I think I'm going to take your idea of jotting all SF down! Will help me to ensure I'm eating enough of it! x

That soup idea is so easy. You can bung everything in a pan (buy diced veg from supermarket and add anything you haveleftover). It can cook whilst you are doing other things (no need to stand over it). Good luck.

Thank you! Will have to try next week! x

We can do it Rachel. I'm gonna start fresh Tomoz as I get weighed tonight! Im loving the soup idea I never but chicken with the bone in though but might do this week so I can make a soup.. U should try the morrisons nume range crisps. They are 4.5 and come in sweet chilli and Thai lemon grass. They are absolutely gorgeous! Full of flavour x

Some butchers sell chicken carcasse for soup. We have a organic butcher down the road and chicken carcasse is very popular with all the posh clients he said. However, I normally buy a free range chicken from Aldi (am fussy about chicken & egg), skin it in one go, take as much meat off as possible or other meals and boil the bones with veg (this week I bought a packet of diced potato, carrot, leek, sweede from Morrisons) and added onion, garlic, leftover broccoli, squashes, aubergine and tomatoes. sometimes, I add pulses too to make a harty meal of it. I avoid stock cubes, gravies etc as want my soup to be as wholesome as possible.

If I am having it as my main meal, then toast a piece of WM bread, sprinkle cheese on it, grill until cheese melted, cut into pieces and put in the soup to soak up all the juice and become more filling on cold days.

All very yummy sounding!!! x

Well done on getting back on track. A lot of people seem to be struggling at the moment (including me) so I think it's down to the weather and wanting to comfort eat.

Talking of soup, I made myself some curried cauliflower soup last night and had it for lunch today with a toasted wholemeal pitta. It was really yummy and it was nice to have a warm lunch at work. I've got another portion for tomorrow so will look forward to that. It's the Superfree curry recipe on the threads but I just have it as soup as isn't enough like a genuine curry for me.

In case you want to try it you just boil the cauliflower in enough chicken stock to cover the florets until they're really soft, then blitz in a food processor with some curry powder and it's done! I made it whilst I was waiting for my dinner to cook.

Good luck staying on track :)

That cauliflower soup does sound yummy!

Well done at continuing to record everything you eat. I haven't managed that for ages now.
