Determintation and Motivation!

I am clearly going MENTAL! Last night and this morning I was convinced I should WI today. So I did. 1lb off, great. Wondered why I have been so confused all morning what day of the week it is WI v Rainbows = didn't fit in my head!! So, I am clearly too eager, and I shall WI tomorrow instead! Doh!

TUESDAY - RED

Right, quick update on food for today… then a few bits to do before 3pm school run, followed by 4.15pm club run, followed by 5.30pm school disco run, then 6.30pm disco pickup… should I just stay and hang out at school?? Been there all morning helping in class making Egyptian crafty things following their museum visit yesterday! Thank goodness its half term from tomorrow!! Hubby back tonight and the house is a tip so it looks like I have done nothing all week again!! OFF to sort out my clothes and the rest of the washing!

Sat... Had a cheeky sneak at scales this morning and 1.2lb off since wed... Fingers crossed it stays that way. Feeling good, and not eaten carbs as hex so definitely less bloated :)

Planning a walk today with the kids and my sister, its pouring with rain, but think it'll be cool to wrap up and get wet!

Sneaked on scales again... Up to 1.8lb off... Two days to go til wi, so fingers crossed!

Happy (non) Pancake Day!

GOT up and cooked honey pancakes for kidders for breakfast :) they are now happily playing Lego in their room... A day of tidying and sorting today, esp bathrooms pre MIL visit!!

Red today again then wi tomorrow.. feeling quite hopeful after 7+ days of red... But definitely might do a green tomorrow! I have been eating and needing considerably less on red. Not as bloated, and have had no pasta, potatoes, rice or noodles in 10 days.

Poo, went a little over tonight on wine with the MIL visit... But aside from that (which was minimal) I've been 100% this week..! The weekend was excellent and flexible within syns for a change :)

Happy Wednesday! 2lb off this week! Thrilled and that puts me at 10st 12lb! Amazing - not been under 11 really since having the kids (I may have been at the peak of my kickboxing days, but I can't remember - I am just so happy that its coming off finally.

Thinking of going for a green day today - I'm meeting a friend with the kids at soft play so a jacket spud will be the easiest option.

Update: All went a bit wrong at lunch as they'd run out of jacket pots by the time we ordered... So I had... Nothing! Friend had chicken Caesar wrap and chips, ans I ate the pot of grapes I'd stashed in my bag! I abstained from everything except black coffee .. but came home starving! So made delish green dinner, and now v full, having not eaten potatoes etc for 10 days!

L: a tub of grapes and blueberries!
D: Sweet potato soup, lm mozz burger (4) sw chips, mayo (0.5), mushy peas

You've made me really crave chicken soup!! How do you make it? I've never actually made it before! Xx
 
Ere, ello, Im not used to an audience here with my random waffle! LOL

Chicken soup - was yum and I am hoping by the advice on the other thread was free…

I only buy 'happy chickens'! So I like to make the most of them… (and no extra fat/oil used when I cook the chuck)

I chuck the carcass and any meat left on it in a pan and cover with water, add bay leaf, peppercorns, a whole carrot, a whole (peeled) onion, a celery stick and bubble away on really low for an hour or so.

Then strain and leave the liquid, draining off any fat on top if any.

Once the chicken carcass is a little cooler I pick of any good bits of meat and add them to the stock. (I sometimes chuck the carrot and onion in too if I am planning a blended soup.

Then to the stock add other veg of choice (I used to add potatoes, which you could I guess if EE but I find this easier on red), today I added fresh carrot and celery and some mushrooms, but anything like swede, bns etc is all good.

Bubble away until the veg is tender, adding more water if necessary. Either blend or leave as chunky soup and add S&P to taste.

It is simple and very tasty :)

So shocked by 2.5lb loss this morning - I got on and off the scales about 5 times!

Really pleased and nearly halfway to target!

Wednesday: New (accidental) Coat Day! And think I will go for red as it really seems to be working!
