Help needed for 1st day......

aww that's nice of him....i did chuckle at the bit you said he makes sure you's have at least 1 good meal lol.

plan for today is another green one....had a quick bite of melon and a slither of scan bran cake for half a syn before i left and going to have magic porridge shortly (as i type now actually)
have a wee square of quiche and some soup with me in case i'm hungry mid morning and HEb sandwich with egg mayo and red onion for lunch.
not sure what i'll have for dinner.....

that's good your sister is going to start too....hope you's aren't competitive thought - no added pressure needed cos it can be hard enough sometimes if you know what i mean x

No we aren't competitive at all. We are more like mates than sisters. I really want her to lose the weight again - she was so happy and looked amazing. She is still gorgeous but I can see she is upset about it so want to so it with her to support her.

I'm so tired today - feels like it will be one of those days where I struggle but so far so good! (Despite birthday cake and cookies at work!)
 
i'm tired too...couldn't really sleep and woke an hr before the alarm was due to go off and ended up just getting up!
think i'm paying for it now lol.

that's good about you and your sister....if you's both have each other then it might be a big help plus you's can cook for each other etc ;)

gonna do another green day tomorrow i think....i've not been too hungry the last 2 days so just need to think of dinner for tonight and tomorrow then its easier to do EE over the weekend when i have the time to cook something yummy properly.

totm is gradually making an appearance so i'm hoping i get my pain tonight when i can mope about at home and once we're back in about 7pm, that's us for the night. wanted to nip for a few things after work but i was kept late and had to rush back for schools finishing so will need to try go tomorrow.

what's on the menu for dinner tonight...have you decided yet?x
 
I'm thinking chicken and roast potatoes with veg. I have some chicken In the freezer which will be quickest thing to defrost (bf may have other ideas though lol)

i ended up with meat free bolognese with a baked potato. wasn't the best but did the trick. we're just in and i'm a bit hungry so i'm going to have some fruit and yog i think then have my wee goodies once bedtime routine is sorted and i have peace to chill with it lol.

did you get the chicken in the end? x
 
I ended up with chicken pasta bake which is no on plan but bf had gone to so much effort to make a chilli salad, the bake and homemade garlic bread that I just ate it lol

And it was loooooovely!!!
 
sounds good....what day are you doing today?

i feel like sh1t today. was woken about 5.30 with the dreaded period pain, felt hellish but tried to get back to sleep thinking i could "sleep it off" for a bit. proceeded to fidget and rock about the bed (as you do lol) which woke my OH...one word borrowed another and we fell out i stormed up after 6 in a rage, bubbled in the toilet (???? lol) then got ready for work.
my body then decided i was going to be sick whilst trying to get ready (???) and then finally made my way to work where i have sat with a hot water bottle and that slight grey look about me all day! :( (by the way....i am very rarely sick so was feeling well sorry for myself! lol)

its no fun and what a bloody palava each month! it's like actual punishment for NOT being pregnant lol.

for the 1st time all week, i've eaten everything i've brought with me but i'm hungry. just had my lunch which was a sandwich as i'm on green again but the bread wasnt fresh and the low low cheese that i used (for the 1st time) was a bit bland :(

listen to me all full of moans eh.....you'll be wishing i hadn't bothered replying lol.

not to worry eh....;)

I feel like I need matchsticks to keep my eyes open!! This week I have had terrible sleep and I can't wait to crawl into bed already!! Extra easy again for me as I didn't do any planning.

Need to buck up my ideas over the weekend and get prepared!!

EE for me today too...1st one since monday and i'm already unsure what i'm going to eat other than dinner....cos i'm gonna try the manhattan burger from this month's mag so that means saving my HEb cos i'll have it with a wholemeal roll...
had fruit and yog first thing but hungry now so thinking either salad for lunch or maybe l/f sauage, bacon etc??

i'm with you on the sleep required thing...i've been the same this week actually - not sleeping too well and it's awful when as soon as you're ready for the day...you're already thinking about bed time!
weird thing is, when i get like that, i'm usually shattered at dinner time then come to life again about 8pm....what's that all about eh lol

yep, i'm feeling better today thanks...it's just bloody awful sometimes and it floors me the 1st day - either with pain, or sickness or both! really impacts whatever i'm doing or i have to plan around it and it bothers me...aww well...not much we can do eh :(

Hello!! :)

Well on the sleep required thing.....I went to sleep on the sofa at 8 last night, got into bed at 10 and slept all the way through til 6.30 this morning!! I obviously needed a good night's sleep - especailly since saturday I had the worst sleep EVER! My bf runs a football team and his players were calling and texting him from 6:45 saturday morning (plus I got up at 4am to tell my bf the time and that he should get some sleep and not stay up allnight playing fifa!!!) So I feel all caught up now and ready for my week!

We had a lovely weekend. It was nice and sunny so we went for a walk around the lakes in St Albans (where I live) and the town. Had a couple of drinks in a nice local pub etc....been ages since we did anything like that so really enjoyed it. Then had a BBQ at some friends yesterday. (homemade SW friendly burgers was my contribution - with chilli in them)

Havent been sticking to plan properly recently and I have decided its about time I took this seriously! Faffing around will get me nowhere so this evening I am going to spend some time planning my meals for the week and getting my head back into the game. I have lasagne for lunch today which I am counting 6 syns for (jar of sauce instead of homemade), a muller light and some fruit. Had hexa and b for cereal this morning and ill be on an EE day. Dinner will be a jacket potato with some chicken or prawns later on (depending on what bf wants to eat)

Went shopping with my sister yesterday so she could buy some new work clothes and i tried a few things on - hated every second of being in the changing room (and so did she i think as some of her stuff was a size 18 - her biggest yet). So I am going to use that plus the nicer weather to spur me on a bit. Bf wants to watch the football tonight so I might pop out for a run before dinner (or do my ex dvd?) if I am not too starving hungy by then lol. If I am then I will at the very least walk home from the station to get a bit extra body magic.

my weekend was alright thanks...nothing too exciting but no DIY for a change so that was good lol.

sounds like you had a good one...it's nice to do things like that especially if you haven't for a while. and good for you on the sleep....we went to bed late on sat night/sun morning and i tossed and turned till after 4am meaning that when i got up for the loo at 7am and fell back asleep, i didn't get up till about 11.30! i knew cos i'd slept later, i'd struggle last night and that's what happened....aww well...at least i'll be sleepy tonight to settle better....or that's the plan at least lol.

today's an EE for me too i think...although i've only had fruit and yog so could go either way but seeing as i want to do green tomorrow, i'll prob just stick to EE today.
i made pulled pork last night which was supposed to be for yesterday's dinner but the pork joint hadn't defrosted properly so i just made it all last night and it'll save some time later. i wasn't going to have any but seeing as it's there, and i'm on EE, i'd be as well to.
yesterday's dinner ended up being singapore noodles - i got the recipe off VintagePockets blog when she'd posted on another thread but because it wasn't planned, i hadn't taken the prawns out the freezer (which the recipe asked for) so we just had it with chicken and pork.

saturday's dinner was a green one for me. i made up the mayflower curry sauce with onions and had that with rice and sw chips...my OH had chicken added to his and it was nice as it's really like curry sauce from the chinese so for a few syns, it was worth it.

hoping WI is nice to me tonight....i ate a lot more superfree last week and drank a lot more so fingers crossed.....struggling with my fruit just now though as i have a tooth playing up and it's reacting to everything...wondering though if all the fruit isn't helping...i know someone who eats no rubbish at all and drinks pretty much water only...but they were told by the dentist that the fruit wasn't doing their teeth any good...far from ideal eh...but i should make an appointment sooner rather than later!
i never used to mind the dentist but the last yr or 2 i've had to go a lot more and i think it's cos i've had my fillings for so long that they're now playing up so have had to go a few times to get them drilled out, a sedative dressing in to calm the nerve then refilled...my OH is TERRIFIED of the dentist and whilst i don't like it and i'm beginning to develop a bit of a fear (only cos my appointments have involved discomfort or having to go cos i've had bother) i still go, where as he will literally suffer until he's almost passing out with the pain/amount of painkillers he's taken....! i know i can't relate to the fear to that level but stuff that!! lol

today has consisted of the usual food preparation...not sure if i'm getting a bit fed up making the same things...but once they're done, it's handy (and filling i suppose) cos i just grab a few bits and it's there for me to snack on at work so really just need to prepare my sandwich or whatever day's i'm working.

what a shame for your sister....there's nothing worse than that feeling when you try something on and it doesn't fit...or it's a bigger size than you're used to. i used to freak out a lot but i've learned that everywhere is so different when it comes to sizes...i mean Primark for instance...and 18 can be too tight for me...but a 10 can be too big depending on what it is...it's crazy! so i just try to hold it up, judge it and not pay too much attention to what size it is.
it's hard though but honestly, i couldn't tell you what size i actually am....i found an old top last week which was a 12 - and too big...i tried on a size 14 top which was too big under the arms but tight across the tummy...but then bought a size 14 cardigan that was ok....and the jeans i had on yesterday were an 18! (but have size 16's which are massive???) it's just mad...but then as you say, an incentive sometimes to try a bit harder to get the next size down...

all fun and games ma dear isn't it :D x
 
I'm feeling tired again already! FFS!! I doubt I will be up late tonight again but I quite enjoyed a good long sleep! Bf wants to go round his dads for dinner and a takeaway so there goes my plan for tonight. I still have 8 syns left so I am going to have chicken in black bean sauce (5) and beef in oyster sauce (4.5) with plain boiled rice. I will share with the others so my portion will only be about 4.75 syns max (I will count 5 for ease and not have any other syns tonight)

Looks like I will have to use up the chicken for lunch tomorrow now or it will be wasted. So I think I will eat and get my bf to drop me home so he can go watch the football and I can make that up and get an earlyish night. I'm prob going to have an EE day again tomorrow so will need to get something for breakfast in the way of fruit to have with a yoghurt...might have some special k thingys as well?! Then lunch can be a chicken sarnie with salad in it plus more fruit and yoghurt (maybe crisps although I might try and avoid them again like I did today). Dinner is likely to be steak and jacket again :)

awww good luck with your WI today hun - I STS this week. Totally deserved a gain as I have been mucking about so I am happy. Bit annoyed that bf sprung a chinese on me last minute tbh as I had planned things out. But at least I have syns left to roll with it and not over indulge. Cant wait to plan things out properly for the week and get some control back!

Ooooh I feel for you with toothache...worst thing ever! Im not scared of the dentists but i really dislike it. I hate when they clean your teeth with the spikey thing - they ALWAYS scrape your gums really hard and make them bleed but at least it gets them clean I suppose!

I feel for my sister too as she is so gorgeous and looked even more stunning when she lost the weight. I am trying my best to encourage her but not annoy her and make her feel bad....fine line really!
 
aww try not to stress about the chinese...i know it wasn't expected but you're still making a good choice and will be within your syns so no worries....plus it's kinda let you plan tomorrow's food without much choice lol

there really is a fine line isn't there...you don't wanna put that pressure on without realising plus when we think we muck up, we give ourself enough guilt without thinking we've let anyone else down!
i'm a bit like that with my friend....her problem is that she doesn't eat enough and goes hours and hours without food...have tried to tell her that that's half the battle....that it doesn't matter whether she eats lettuce or chocolate...when her body's in starvation mode, it'll store it as fat anyway!
i tell her she's my pal and i love her no matter what size she is...but all these fad diets which she does has a huge impact on her health....but i understand....i totally understand! :( x
 
Well I decided I really didn't want a Chinese so I'm leaving bf to have that with his dad and I'm gonna go home and sort myself out. Feel good for making that decision :)

Jacket and chicken for me with a little reggae reggae sauce at 1 syn per tablespoon....much better for me than Chinese plus I can have a pud if I like :)

plus it gives me the while evening to meal plan, prep food for tomorrow and get a shower and early night. I will be glad of it tomorrow I'm sure!

And I'm walking home from station as we 'speak' so getting a bit or body magic!

well i'm just back from WI...2 off this week giving me 21.5lbs altogether...yay :D

i'm soooo hungry and haven't used my HEb today yet so swithering whether to have one of the ww petit pan rolls i got with the pulled pork?? haven't had white bread for ages and i love them all warm with butter so not sure what to do.....could always save it and have something later which would keep my syns lower for the day??

off now to decide....and to update my signature ;) x
 
Ahh well done you :) awesome loss!! How many syns do you have left?! If you hve a few like normal I would say go for it with a bit of butter and sacrifice the usual crisps :) you will prob still have enough for a Freddo :)
 
i've only used half today so far so 14.5....;)
ended up just having the pulled pork with low fat supernoodles which i'd added mushroom, peppers, onions and sweetcorn to. filled a hole but now that i still have my B choice...i'm thinking hifi later and maybe a malteser bunny cos i'd only need to count 3 for that. and if i have crisps it'll be no more than 5...will see how it goes tho lol x
 
i use it as a base. i prefer the tomato and herb pasta n sauce compared to the rest (for the quiche anyway) and just blitz half a tub of cottage cheese, mix 3 eggs and lots of superfree and put it on the top. i always manage to get 2 lots out of it so when i cut it all up, it lasts pretty much the week taking a couple of bits every day x

Random question again - do you cook the pasta n sauce first or put it in the oven dish dry?! I've dug some out of the cupboard and I'm going to make it over the weekend for lunches.

Also have you ever frozen it?! And how long do you cook it for?

I'm done with meal plans for this week - still need to write up a shopping list but thankfully only need a few things for lunches as I have tried to use up freezer stuff. Getting a bath now and then looking forward to plan next week!!
 
i just put the pasta in the dish straight from the pot then put the mixture on top. i don't wait cos i noticed if wherever you leave it...it all congeals together as it cools so better that it just does it in the bottom of the quiche.
i cook mines really low...for longer(just until its brown on top and solid not mush through out)...that way the egg and cottage cheese cook through and it's not soggy in the middle which is a miracle when trying to cut it...mines fell apart today grrrrr

i haven't frozen it so not sure how it would be. i cut mine up though and keep it in the fridge and it does all week - i take 2 wee squares to work and sometimes have some for dinner with salad or whatever.

what kind of pasta do you have? the leek one is really tasty...but you have to syn that one (even thought it would be minimal each time if you cut it all up) but i tend to use the tomato one. i'd never eat that on it's own but its nice as part of the quiche.
i found the chicken and mushroom one bland but never wanted to salt it cos there's probably enough in the packet anyway?! x
 
I've got one chicken and mushroom and one ham, leek and cheese. Ill probably try chicken and mushroom to start with although if you think it's horrible then maybe I should rethink!? Ill put tons of superfree in it and might even stick some extra herbs in it to make it tastier - or maybe some garlic?!

Low fat cottage cheese is free isn't it?! I'm under the impression that i only need to syn the butter and milk?!

I was planning to take some for lunches with salad but it would be a good option for a green days dinner (I always struggle with ideas for them lol)
