JanD into the third year of maintenance :-D

Oh but all that hasn't stopped me having 1 or 3 V&Cs tonight. Well.. be rude not to have a farewell drink with DH now wouldn't it?! ;) xx

These fish and chips again..............everyone is on about them. I can feel the craving fast approaching me to have a drive to Porthcawl to Beales for my favourite ones.

Enjoy yourself with your Mum Jan, is it tomorrow you are going?

Yep - off in about an hour. I've been a good girl & had a vanilla mousse for breakie & taking a bar for lunch.

The hotel IS supposed to have wifi so assuming I can access it (I can't always on my little assus) I'll still be around ;) xx

Have a lovely time Jan :D xxx

Enjoy your hol with Mum. Hope the weather is good.

Enjoy your break x x

Thanks guys!! :D

I hope you're right about the weather! Something tells me there won't be many more opportunities to enjoy time with my mum so I'm doing my best to make the most of it. Sorry of that sounds morbid - just being honest.

We're in the bar 'enjoying' the entertainment at the mo. ;)

Had an exante bar for lunch and a Gregg's sarnie for tea, half a cadbury's Bliss bar and now wine is being imbibed - by me - not Mum! xx

Aww glad you are having a good time. Enjoy every moment Jan, my Mum died in 1998 and I would give anything to have her back for a day.

I know exactly what you mean Mary which is why I'm determined to enjoy this time ...

We both had our feet eaten by fish this morning!! Was REALLY weird but I'd recommend it and will certainly go again!

It's been a beautiful day here. Quite caught the sun :)

Breakie was full english with scrambled egg, toast & butter

Had few of Mum's cone of chips on the pier and then tonight we shared 2 meals - liver, bacon, onions & mash & cumberland sausage, onion & mash.

Mum bought a special offer in thornton's today - over £23 worth of chocs for £10 :(:(:( .. we shared a small bar earlier but i just know that she's now waiting to go back to the room to open something and I also know I won't be able to resist :( ***sigh*** xx

Got 3 tops & a pair of trousers today :) xx

What a bargain with the chocolate!!!! Enjoy them Jan, you are on holiday :)

Xx

Glad you having such a good time. Loved your fb comment today about the bingo wings! Enjoy the time together. My dad is 83 now and although still really active is getting frailer so I cherish the time we have together.
When are you back?x

What a fantastic bargain on the chocolate........uh oh when you get back to the room though lol.

Glad you are both enjoying yourselves xx

Afraid the box of continentals were demolished when we went back last night. Mind you I felt a bit better when I looked what weight was in the box and it was only 175g & I didn't have half (only 1 less that half though )

Feels like I've had a piggy day today (for a change ... NOT!)
Breakie was another full english (though they're not huge - still BAD!)
Lunch - John came over for the day & we had a pub lunch. I had Cawl (pronounced cow with an l on the end - its a Welsh thing) it's like a broth, wasn't fussy tbh. Had malted bread & butter with it though - & that WAS nice ;)

Because we'd had a lunch we got sarnies from Greggs which we had in the room for tea.

Had a few wines over lunch and sitting in the sun on the pier this afternoon ... on the V&Cs tonight though ;)

Back on Friday T. Looking forward to a sneaky weekend coz I'm NEVER off on a friday night unless we're away. It'll be nice and especially nice to have a whole saturday!! Unheard of! :) xx

BTW - Still 2 boxes of choc & a bag of misshapes in the room. Mind you it's been that hot today they're probably all melted!

Hahaha Jan, Cawl is lovely, but it depends on who makes it, sometimes it can be rather greasy.

Your time away sounds lovely, that was nice of John to come and see you for the day - quite sweet and romantic really.

Loving the sound of your week away so far :) the main thing is that you enjoy yourself. And a Friday night off how amazing!!!!! :D xx

This wasn't greasy but it was rather thin and a bit peppery for me. I've had nicer before.
LOL - I didn't see J coming over as that - I was just glad of someone else to push the wheelchair  ... OH AND see him get his feet eaten by fish ;) made him go for a fish pedicure too xx
