JanD into the third year of maintenance :-D

Oh no hope he gets back to sleeping better soon!
Good news re the house though. How are the little ones coping with it all? x

I think they have mixed feeling tbh. They were very upset to leave their school and friends and don't know where they'll be going in September because it was too late for the authorities (moved from a different one) to liase with the schools etc etc.
They were initially excited about the new house but when i took them there last night I think they were disappointed to find boxes everywhere and didn't think it felt like 'home'. They seemed better this evening now their rooms are unpacked etc.

When you think about it they've had so much change and upheaval in their short lives, it must be very difficult. They've also got their annual trip to visit with their birth mother and ex-foster mother coming up next week, which may be affecting them too.

Poor l'il things  xx

Awww poor little souls :( Thats such alot to deal with at such a young age.

Do the authorities have 6weeks holidays too?!!!! dammit were in the wrong job, we need 6weeks holiday - well I do haha

seriously though, hope that issue gets sorted soon :) x

Well no - the Local Education Authorities work through the summer but there's no schools to liase with. The move's just happened at the wrong time. SO much so it may be October until theyre sorted.

Still - I'm sure it'll all work out for the best ... I think I'll have that put on my headstone "It all worked out for the best in the end" :giggle:

Incidentally son's (ex)partner was apparently in floods of tears as they left yesterday (my son had made him go round to help pack up and talk to the boys about the breakup) crying and panicking that he's done the wrong thing etc etc and we're all punching the air and feeling really glad that at last he seems to be realising what he's done!!
The only downside of that being my son's feelings for him allowing him to forgive him - that would be a REAL disaster at this stage!! It's gone too far and breaking up really is the best thing .... ho hum!! xx

October!!!!
What a pickle :( you are right though sometimes breaking up really is the best thing to do no matter how hard it is x

That's it Tan ... Sadly :(.

Confessing to 4 squares choccie :(

Also had a slice of ham and a slice of chicken.

Theories as to why I've got a mild case of 'munchies' ...

... 'stew' brought it on - ie. overate which brought on wanting more to fill the 'gap' iykwim.

... hormones .. been having loads more than usual hot flushes, despite upping my soy isoflavones AND have another symptom too personal to mention, suffice to say DH is not complaining **blush** ;)

... post holiday 'I did okay there so what can I have now'.

... pre holiday 'mode'.

Actually it's probably a combination but it's building to one of those times when I'll eat everything in sight, including my own arm and the dog before I'm satisfied and can get back to it!! I'm just trying to hold it off till I'm away so I can kill 2 birds with one stone. Yet at the same time don't want to make it an excuse!

**sigh** this stuff's never ending  xx

Reading your views on things I find you very wise Jan. You always make sense to me! Such a sad situation your son and grandsons are in but I tend to agree with you, it is for the best. Hope your son gets some sleep soon and you know the boys will be fine in the end.

They're all very lucky to have you there for support and help.

P.S. Hope DH is "appreciating" your symptom too!!

:giggle: had to chuckle with the symptom about DH liking!!! :p

How do you think you'd do on holiday if you had a blow out now and got it out of your system? Would it still make you want to eat everything whilst on holiday or would you be satisfied that you had done it?

xxx

Poor little mites, I hope they settle in really quickly.

Jan, a little of what you fancy does you good, just be careful though hun. Have you tried upping your water, perhaps take the cravings for whatever you are fancying away?

Thanks all :) I appreciate the suggestions but I'm afraid I caved this morning :(

Gonna list what I can remember ... in no particular order ...
Piece of small seeded batch thick with clover,
Biscuits - some at mum's & some at home, must have been 12 altogether :( these were creams, shortbreads, jammy dodgers ...
piece of fudge
1 piece oatilicious bread with olive spread, corned beef & el salad cream
1 piece toasted with olive spread & ww jam
Graze box arrived in post - opened 2 of the tubs & tried the dried fruit & stuff that was in them - wasn't fussy except for some yoghurt coated something or others, so probably had about half of each little box.
I THINK that was all this morning but I'm not sure.

After I got up I had chicken breast baked with halloumi cheese & bbq sauce and salad with el salad cream.
Since then I've picked at another of the graze box tubs - walnuts, dates & pumpkin seeds and had 2 teaspoons of egg & bacon sandwich filler.

I've brought a BL bar to work.

I THINK the worst is over but I'm not saying I've finished

Isn't it strange??!! xxx

Strange indeed but maybe this is what was needed?! sometimes it can do us good to just have a blowout ... i know you can get back onto the mrs Determined track when you are ready and if you having a blowout means your back on track sooner then so be it .... iykwim!x

Ikwym ;) and I hope I can get back into the right mindset REALLY quickly!

I'm a little afraid of next week - Mum & I can be awful when we're together and 4 days of 24/7 could do some damage. But then a little voice in the back of my head keeps saying - yes but you've got the whole of August with nothing planned to sort any damage out before going on holiday - I'd rather not have anything to sort though :(

I wish I could just do 'everything in moderation' .... I wonder if I'll ever get there ... somehow I doubt it :( xx

Sometimes that blowout is good for the metabolism Jan, maybe its just your body saying to you that you haven't eaten much lately, with your 2 bars and a meal - might just do you some good instead of bad chick iykwim.

Oooo hope so ;) ... feeling bloated coz of all the carbs/sugar but wouldn't it be great if you were right :) xx

B*gger b*gger b*gger b*gger b*gger :(

mars bar
2 finger kit kat
mini pack oreos :( x

BTW - B*gger didn't mean Bigger - though it probably should have! :giggle: x

Hey Mrs...........pack this malarky in straight away!

Hope you wake up today and have got rid of the bingy attacks, horrible when it happens, and no good talking to yourself, sometime you just need to do it.

Back on the wagon today Mrs xxx

Yup, do you feel better having hot it 'out your system'? Xx

Well I sort of feel better ..... in that I feel dreadful and never want to eat anything ever again! .... (well at least until the 1st full english on tuesday ;))

Don't even want to think about what I necked this morning :( ....

Tonight I've had a small fish from the chippie & some of DH's chips with el salad cream and whereas normally I'd think this was really bad, after what I've been having this was almost angelic!

I think I'm over it now. I feel really lethargic and rotten - all the sugar no doubt. I'm not saying I'll be 'good' while I'm away but I'll be a heck of a lot better than I would have been if this hadn't happened!!

Bleurgh!!!! xx
