Me an all dearest!!!! but sometimes, you just gotta have a little willpower. I've learned to stop at the half bottle of wine even though I look longingly at the remainder as it goes back n the fridge for the next night!!:cry:

I've read it all back and - whether it's because I know how I meant it, I think it all sounds good humoured. I'm sorry if it's come across as negative to anyone.

Just look out there's not a bit of transference going on there kiddo ;) ... maybe how YOU would have felt under those circumstances? :p

I'm not saying I'm never negative - though I do my best not to be I'm only human. But I really didn't feel negative over this, just reported what was going on in a 'here we go again ha ha' sort of style (I thought) but I'm very aware this communication medium can be open to interpretation which is why I use so many smilies to try to convey the emotion :D:D:D:D:D:D ;) :p xx

ANYHOO! I was telling my mother yesterday that I wanted to lose 5lbs in 4.5wks before we go away and she said "or you could wait till you come back and lose it together with what you put on when you're away" .. I thought that was very telling - and probably how I would have thought once. It probably also explains why Mum's been overweight most of her life too :eek:

Wednesday 11th August

Breakie - Berries & ff from frais

Lunch - Chicken & cottage cheese salad

Nectarine

Tea - Grilled pork steak with brocolli & leek

Work - same as lunch but with a wholemeal wrap. Pear & nectarine xx

ohhh...just read this.....I wasnt meaning it in a horrible way, I was saying "YOU CAN DO THIS" :) yes, it is just the way we interpret things, so sorry if I sounded as though I was being horrid...I wasnt.

I just think you are brill and you have come such a long way and well, we all look up to you here :)))))))) not putting any pressure on you, you realise !! ahhaah

Sorry sweetie,,,would hate to think I have offended/upset you in any way.
 
I wasn't offended at all Iris .. please don't worry about that. I only was concerned what I was saying couldn't have come across the way I meant it to because I wasn't feeling negative at all :) No offence taken - really! :) xx
 
Jolly good job. One down and four to go. Cut back on the voddies and the wine. These all contain empyt cals so the body processes them into fat stores straight off!! You can do it girl!

You're right - I can ... just don't want to :D. Obviously I know all about the empty calories etc AND I could probably drop the 4 lbs in a week if I did do without, simply don't want to ;)

If I can lose 1lb a week AND have everything I want like last week I'd far rather do that ... crazy as it may sound.

Hmmmm willpower ... means making yourself do something you don't want to do - or vice versa ... no willpower required from me at the moment and still losing. I don't want to look longingly at anything personally but we all have to find the way that works best for us don't we?

I got 2 GI books out of the library yesterday when we took the boys - thought of you :D I think my GI/GLing has been more by accident than design. So I'm having a good read.

Couldn't get online last night. I was dogsitting again and their laptop was doing silly things!

I didn't even think about that tin of caramel kitkats - well I did, in passing but didn't want any. I DID have 3 tsps of wholenut peanut butter ;) very nice they were too :D

Tuesday 17th August

Lunch - John West Light lunch (don't know what I'd do without these when we're out and about!)

Tea - not sure yet, something with chicken ... turned out to be in a moroccan sauce with brocolli & a tablespoon & a half of cous cous.

Good on you, doing it your own way is the best. It works jolly well for you.
We all too often fall down by trying to emulate others in some way or another without taking the totality of their life into consideration. Then we are disappointed when we don't get the same results. We each need to find our own way in all areas of life diet or otherwise.

Never a truer word spoken :) We all lead such different lives and one way to keep healthy might not be suitable for another person!

Jan, you know exactly what you need to do and you do it but you stay in reality too by having Mr S :) Cause you dont want to give him up, but you plan and you do other things to compensate :)!! marvellous :)!!

Lunch - Yet ANOTHER John West light lunch. 3rd this week ... not ideal but we were out again and when I take a picnic for everyone else the light lunch is the easiest thing to take.

We're out for a meal tonight. I am sort of planning on having the chicken & bacon salad I know is on the menu BUT I've just remembered the menu's changed so I may have to rethink.

Wine xx

OH! Had a few tastes of rhubarb and apples to test the sweetness as I was stewing them with/for the kids ... Picked from the garden. xx

LOL! Yeah Mary - after I'd picked them from the garden ;) :giggle:

I'd have loved some but it and the apples were very tart so I put quite a lot of brown sugar in with them - ah well ....

Tea out became a salmon steak and salad with a 'reduced fat balsamic dressing' - it was VERY nice so probably not THAT reduced in fat ;)

Anyway if I have anything else tonight it will be a shape zero. Tho' the wine is ongoing ;) xx

Also had a l'il disoranno nightcap (ooops ;)) x

Oooh Just noticed yer sparklee!
I havnt changed mine Jan since i made it probably like a year ago! Not sure about the time limit thing although it would make sense but who knows! :giggle: x
