Jeremy Vile ..... trust me I can think of much worse names for him! I think i actually 'hate' him which is a really strong word and there is only one person that i feel i actually hate (which really isnt nice but i honestly just cant even stand to be around her) but he absolutley winds me up to no end! :giggle:

Anyways ... i hope we were on about the same Jeremy here?!

Youre tea sounds delish, love things like this but the bf just doesnt cook! He asked me the other day about putting a pizza and chips in the oven for himself! He asked about timing and gas mark and i was  .... honestly!!! :rotflmao:

I'm sure we are on about the same Jeremy!

Maybe men have to be in their 60s before they can cook anything ;) ... trouble is they can't clean up after themselves!! That's why it's often easier to do it yourself cleaning up as you go along. However I was very tired tonight so grateful! xx

Have to agree with your comments on Jeremy. He sure is vile. I just hate those type of programmes. I wonder just how much does he really care for any of the poor sods that come on the show!!
Your turkey dish sounded very delish and GL friendly. I will have to make that myself.

Naw - I don't think he actually cares at all. He wouldn't have anyone on there who wouldn't boost his ratings ... that's what it's all about in the end. Lots of people disliked Kilroy but I always felt he was genuine and not JUST for the cameras - which was why he was taken off the air ultimately. If he'd been ONLY wanting ratings he never would have said what he did ... Anyway ... that's sooo long ago none of you probably remember!! :)

I'm afraid after I'd logged off last night I had an Alpen light bar and a slice of corned beef.

Sunday 29th August

Breakie - 100g pork loin

Lunch - Grilled salmon with salad (no dressing)

Mathew Street Festival ... lots of V&Cs imbibed ;)

Felt a bit 'off' on train coming home - had half a harvest morn bar.

Tea - Boiled eggs, pork loin & balsamic vinegar (is the plan)

More V&Cs xx

Sounds like you've had a well behaved day anyhoo Jan :D

What would you suggest eating on going out for a meal then? Just sticking to a salad or something??

Weeeeell ... if you don't count the alcohol ;)

I usually look for a salad and ask for it without dressing or with the dressing on the side. I'm usually looking for protein and salad or veggies ... coz I'm drinking trying to do without carbs in the form of tatoes etc xx

Feeling "off" on the train anything to do with the old smirnoff then????
Anyhow, hope you have recovered enought for another few at home!!

HaHa ... on this occasion I think not ... I think I needed FOOD!! ;) ... but when this happens usually just a litle something sorts me out ... hence only the half bar. I took one I don't like with me so I wouldn't have it for the sake of it ... and I didn't ;) xx

do they not give you funny looks when you ask for no dressing?? I'd have thought that was the best idea but then some folk might consider it pernickerty (sp)

You will be surprised just how accommodating some place will be about food. If a meal comes with potato, ask if they can give you extra veg instead of the potato. Salad unless preprepared should be available with the dressing on the side or with no dressing. Ask for a slice of lemon, I find lemon and black pepper can be just as flavoursome on a salad.

Not at all .... if you're bothered about that just ask for the dressing 'on the side' ... then instead of them thinking you don't like what they're offering they may just think you want to try it first - or whatever.
When push comes to shove they want you to enjoy your experience in their establishment so that you will come again and recommend them. They HAVE to cater for allergies etc and how do they know that when you say 'no dressing' or 'dressing on the side' it isn't because you may be allergic to something?? And why would they want you to waste their budget taking something you won't eat from their kitchen??
Having spent 15 weeks saying "I'm not ordering anything except black coffee thank you as I have a medical condition (... well ... obesity IS a medical condition!!)" while DH had a full meal - just 'tweaking' something is nothing. And friends and family in catering say they really want to please the customer so ..... what's the problem?? ;) xx

Well yeah I hadn't thought of it that way. Its mum's birthday next week and I know she'll want to go out for dinner. I'll give it a bash and report accordingly lol

Great!! Look forward to hearing how easy it was ;)

Lost another 0.6lbs this week. Okay - not a huge amount but in the right direction and easily done when you think I did all that picking and all that 'boozing' ;)

Breakie - boiled egg, ham & cottage cheese with a wee bit of balsamic.

Lunch - (out) - Goats cheese, chicken & bacon salad (leaves, egg, tomato, sweetcorn & beetroot) with balsamic syrup (didn't ahve much - was VERY sweet.

Tea - dunno yet

LOADS of wine ... Even for me!!! ;) xx

Have ya had a good day Jan?
Well done on the loss! :) xxx

Well done on another loss Jan. Like you said, it's in the right direction and that's what counts!

Lovely day thanks!! I love Liverpool and love to see it being enjoyed like it is weekends like this - Mathew Street Festival :D ... I look at people taking photos and think - how lucky am I??? I live here!! :D

Still not had any tea but I'm sure I'll have something xx

3 slices ham x

Well done on the loss this week. Seems like you had a lovely bank holiday today. It's the last hurrah of the Summer. Liverpool is nice, Ive been there a couple of times for the Grand National. Mighty fun but far too much alcohol!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL! You can't blame Liverpool for that!!

The National isn't in the centre anyway! Mathew Street is and all it's surrounding celebrations ;) xx
