Nah .. didn't take the camera ... sorry. I DID have 2 oatcakes with houmous before I went to bed ... but the thousands of calories I imbibed via the wine .. well .... shocking

Tuesday 31st August

Breakie - berries & ff from frais

Tea - Turkey mince, onion, mushroom, passata, butter beans & moroccan spices.

I've had a lovely last full day of the summer hols with the boys. Took them & my mum to the park for a picnic after shopping with her. Then later on took them to the beach. Tonight they had the bubbliest bubble bath you've ever seen!!! We had loads of fun ... marred only by my old fart of a husband yelling up about the noise and that he was trying to 'do' something. Honestly I could cry .. I probably shouldn't really be posting this as it seems a bit disloyal but he sooooo spoilt what I was trying to make a special last night with them. Kids being kids I don't think it affected them too much - I tried not to let it, tried to make a joke of it, but I could slap him - I really could. I wouldn't let him eat with us - told him he'd done enough to spoil my night and I wasn't interested in spending any time with him. I'm only in the same room with him now coz the kids have gone to bed, the laptop is in here and I'm too lazy to cart it into another room

I'm sure it'll all be fine tomorrow but I really could murder him right now xx

Don't you know men are just big kids too!!! Have to have the same amount of attention and don't like their routine upset.

The b****r of it is when he's in a different mood he acknowledges what a b*****d he is. Rightly or wrongly (you all obviously think wrongly but still ..) I'm not snuggling up to the obnoxious S0d he's been tonight!

Anyway .... I pm'd Mary last night but haven't had a reply as yet. Don't know what's going on there xx

Aw! poor Mary. Hope it is just a bug and not kidney stones as they are sooo painful. Knew there had to be something up.
Jan, hope DH does the making up so. Sounds like he was very bold indeed. We all have these moments with the men in our lives, can't live with them but can't do well without them either!

Here's mr thinking it was just me and my friend that that happened to! Tis right annoying ain't it!

Just saw that she said she's ok and it's gallstones (are they the same as kiddy stones?!) hopefully she gets better asap and gets her butt back on ere! Xxx

Gallstones are nasty too and very painful. She will have a few visits to the hospital if they need to be treated. But she will be fine. Better to have it sorted before she goes away.

Sorry you had some trouble with your better half Jan, but then I think we've all been there! Got to agree with you and your plan of action though Jan, I wouldn't have snuggled up to my hubby either if that had just happened, I would make him pay!

Thanks all .... he's got his stubborn head on (typical Taurean) and will not apologise as he's 'done nothing wrong' it's just that 'our perspectives are different' grrr!
He is trying to act 'normally' ... I am doing a more gradual thaw, estimated time of completion ... hmmmmmm .... maybe tomorrow evening

Sadly my 'boys' have gone home after their last stay this holiday. It really felt like the last day of a holiday today . Next week I start back with my Tuesday stint looking after the 2 smallest ones while DIL is teaching. I find them a lot harder work tbh, they're lovely but they wear me out ... still, only one week of that before me jollies

Wednesday 1st September (flippin' 'eck!!)

Breakie - berries & ff from frais

Lunch - We had a pickernick again so I had a trusty old John West light lunch, several bits of cucumber, carrot, tomato & radish & half a banana.

Tea - Chicken apricot & date tagine with cous cous & 2 teaspoons of vienetta (kid's leftovers needless to say )
Shape zero

Work - chicken & cottage cheese salad, wholemeal roll, nectarine, pear.

(Edit - Weetos cereal bar about 5.30am )

Glad you agree .... treat 'em mean Lol! It's not even that .. it's just so frustrating when you're up against such stubbornness and unreasonableness (haha - is that even a word??) !!

I know .. We're having a meal with them on Sunday, then I shouldn't think I'll see them till we're back ... after 26th - yes it IS 2 weeks and I AM looking forward to it DESPITE who I have to go with xx
