JanD's Maintenance Diary. Into the 2nd year :o)))

Me neither Tan :( xx

Just adding 3 oatcakes with phili light (2) & hummus (1) x

Yum yum yum!!!!!!

I must make more of an effort to get to Aldi/Lidl, there are so many good foods there, but I am in such a habit of going to Tesco.

I will join you on a wee dram tonight Jan as I am nights Wed and Thur.

I love porridge and it is a good food, tried sweeteners but didnt like it, time to try again? Any other ideas for low cal, healthy ways to sweeten? Had apple the other day but forced it down and tasted of plain porridge. :(

I make it with half skimmed milk, half water, bring it to the boil and simmer for a minute or two, then I add things like frozen berries (defrosted) honey, any tinned fruits in natural juice, sliced banana, sultanas, raisins. Any of these, not all at once lol.

Oooh another thing I like in it is nutmeg or cinamon.

OO yeah - cinnamon might be nice :)

Babysitting 2 littlest today and their dad who had an umbilical hernia repair yesterday .. well, not babysitting him exactly .. though he IS my baby - even if he is 31 :giggle: xx

I know - what are we like ;) xx

Hope your son's OK. My hubby had that same op a few years ago. He healed much quicker than we thought.

Thanks Bev .. he does 'wounded soldier' very well I must admit. :) I'm not convinced the surgeon really did tell him to stay flat for a couple of days .. I think he's just revelling in the attention and the opportunity to stay in bed ;)
He IS off work for 2 weeks though and on light duties for 2 weeks after that because in his division (police) wearing body armour is mandatory and it finishes right on his navel. He is a good healer though so I'm sure heal be fine soon xx

Oh flippin' 'eck!! Done really well all day then just went and discovered a tin full of halloween chocolate!! Could have been worse - could have discovered it this morning! Have had a mini caramel (2 'squares') and a mini pkt of maltesers (10) NOT HAVING ANY MORE!!! xx

Step away from the chocolate tin Jan!!!! :D
Hope your 'baby' recovers quickly - even being 31 still we all need our mums around :giggle: xxx
