JanD's Maintenance Diary. Week 38 onwards.

Tuesday 13th April

Breakie - 2 weetabix, small banana (run out of berries :() and skimmed milk

Lunch - Green Giant Vine ripened tomato soup (something like that)

3pm Alpen light bar

Tea was going to be a pork shank with stir fry but I didn't get in till 8pm & was really hungry so I had a pouch of 'Look what we found' Bolognaise on a bed of baby spinach - so I've almost had a diet chef day :)
2 yellow plums

No good pretending there won't be a couple of voddies tonight. If I was more sensible about this it'd be a lot easier I know :(:(:(

Managed to go without it on LT for 17 weeks! **sigh** xx

I know what you mean Jan, those dreaded voddies are the key to the nibbles, but at the end of the day, we need to have some fun too.

I didn't have anything though - was quite pleased with myself :) I like that feeling too - much better than the 'why the hell did I do that' feeling! xx

Whooooo! No alcohol munchies!!!

Why thank you Ma'aaaaaaaaam **bows low** ;)

Wednesday 14th April.

Had a good lie in coz of starting work tonight so I didn't have any breakfast. DH was out for lunch so I thought I'd open a tub of soup have half and take the rest to work tonight. It was then I realised I'd read the tub wrong. I thought it was 72 calories for half the tub - it was really thick & creamy so I checked and it was 172!!!!! Moral to this story is - don't shop without your glasses on LOL! I had it anyway - it's not that bad and I still had the whoegrain roll I was planning on having with it. Half dry to 'dunk' and half split with vlf salad cream, cucumber & leaves on.

A pear about 3.30

Tea is that pork shank I should have had last night with stir fry

A plum

Taking to work the above soup and another of those rolls filled just with salad. I'm realising this doesn't have the protein with it KD has been reminding me about but the soup does so I'm thinking that will suffice.
I'll probably take a pear or some raspberries as well. xx

Looking good again today Jan, keep it up chick. You could always take a few of those almonds too, just for some protein.

Yup almonds are lovely arent they :)

Are unsalted plain cashews good for you too?

Not sure Tan I think there WAS a reason KD recommended the almonds as opposed to other nuts .. oh yeah this was it ...They are surprisingly satisfying and besides, there's a lot of good research to say that the calories in vs calories out don't work in quite the same way with almonds for some reason.
I think I might 'like' the cashews a bit too much ;) xx

I am actually hungry :( It's only 23.45 and I could happily have my soup and the roll now! I try to wait till between 3 & 4am but I don't think I'll last that long tonight. I may have to have the pear.

Jan, dont be going hungry. If you are hungry then yer body obv needs it now :)

xxx

Yeah - you're right Tan ... I've had my roll & the pear - I've still got my soup to have a bit later. I've also had 6 almonds. Feel much better now xx

Good good :)

Hi Jan

As always, doing well :) inspiration to us all...just looked at your weight since you came off TFR, and amazing - if I can emulate you, well......I would be a wee happy bunny indeed.

I am lurking; have been for a while, but just dont want to have a post because, well, food, etc and dwelling on it isnt helping my ED, so would prefer just to comment on your posts and say how I am doing into the bargain! If that makes sense....

I am doing ok, and have my initial WI today, well in about 30 mins...been on shakes since Tues, so on Day and feel ok with them; had the metallicy taste since Day 1 which is unusual, but not complaining....

Hopefully, this is it...famous last words..have my ED consultation on 18 May, so if I can hang on till then and hopefully there will be help on the way after that!

Great to see you all doing so well on here! More on maintenance now, which is nice - eh!

have a good day/evening, whichever time you read this at!

Another good day Jan, keep it up hun, you are doing fantastic.

I agree on the cashews, they are TOO likeable.

Can't trust myself around cashews Jan:eek: They are just toooo moorish..lol,

Isis x :)

I know Mary & Isis! I prefer the salted ones but unsalted would do ;)

Iris! How did the weigh in go? I understand your reasons for not wanting a thread but still let us know about your weigh ins & stuff! Lovely to have you around again :):)

Thursday 15th April

Breakie - I was really hungry when I got in so - although I've only been having 1 weetabix (unless I've had a lot on to need the sustenance for) I had the 2 this morning with raspberries, splenda & skimmed milk HOWEVER! I DIDN'T have anything at Mum's AND I DIDN'T have anything else before I went to bed :):):)
Petulant Fred sat in the corner and didn't even bother me once he knew I meant business and NO meant NO :);):) (Thanks KD:))

Bed all day

Tea - Baked salmon with stir fry and half a tin of ratatouille

small banana

I've brought to work a tin of sainsbury's cheese & bacon pasta and a pear. I know the tin isn't the best thing in the world but I like it, I know I'll be full after it and it's 300cals, which is about the same as soup and a roll would have been .... okay that would have been a bit healthier but hey ...... once in a while .... :) xx

Tin of bacon and cheese pasta, now, ive never seen them! Im intrigued!

Well that's the first time Google images haven't given me what I want! No pics available apparently. It's just rigatoni (sp?) in a cheesey sauce with bits of bacon. I like it cold too (like baked beans or tinned spaghetti - somehow the heat changes the flavour - my mother is the same) so - gross as it sounds - as it has a ring pull lid I can just yank it off and eat it from the tin (and you thought I was posh ;)) xx

:rotflmao: jan what ya like!!! Hahahaha

have to have a look for them bad boys tomorrow sounds like something my bf would like! Oh and me when I'm able to have one hehe

Perhaps I should add - I DO use a spoon ;) xx
