Sigh

And Sian thought Blimey, that didn't happen in rehearsals!

And I thought Blimey. Keep to the script Sophie! Keep to the script "sophie pecks Sian on cheek" Not on lips gal!

Reckon the script writers are going to have to write a story around this now :sigh:

;)

Day's food sound good. Don't forget protein is the most important macronutrient when cutting down. Make sure you eat enough to avoid any binges

Alpen light. Could cause problems, but fine because you had it just before you went out. I think we have to be careful with these types of bars as they are often packed with sugar and it's easy to think we are eating something 'healthy' when we're not.

But these aren't a bad choice IMO. Low calorie, and taste nice.

At the moment I think it would be good if you have any processed stuff to be extra aware. Grabbing something before you go out isn't a bad time to have it, because it's unlikely to send you into a spiral. It's when you grab it and there's more available for you to grab again...which can get Fred started ;)

Remember protein is satiating. If you are having any carby, stick some protein with it. You've done that with your from frais:)

Have you ever had almonds for a snack? I used to keep them in my pocket to pick at if I was out and hungry but it wasn't a meal time yet. They are about 7 calories each. Not my favourite nut, but that was good for me ;) Great thing about almonds is they are rather hard, so take a while to eat. I could 'pop' one like others might eat chewing gum. Six was a good portion and kept me munching in the car on the way home from work so I wasn't ravenous when I got home and grabbed anything. They are surprisingly satisfying and besides, there's a lot of good research to say that the calories in vs calories out don't work in quite the same way with almonds for some reason.

No excuse to go mad of them, but if you like them, they are a really good 'in your bag' or 'in the car' snack. Just keep some handy just in case.

I've just looked at your weight record. You really are doing fab Jan  No need to panic, just be careful that you don't let fred have his way at the moment. Plan to prevent. Know what you are having and when you are having it. Keep it structured and make sure it's enough.

It's funny but I do tend to forget that, Thanks for reminding me.

I have a few 'bars' that I fall back on. These are the lightest and lowest calorie. None of them make me want more. I only ever use them to bridge a gap. Last night for example I knew there was a free glass of wine at 7pm & I hadn't had anything since 2pm - quick & easy. Today I had a bowl of soup for lunch - early for rushing around reasons and without the roll/bread I'd normally have coz there wasn't any in my son's house so by the time I'd shopped for my mother, been there and then dashed 20miles to pick my other son's boys from school my stomach thought my throat was cut. I try to make sure I always have something with me & one of these did the trick. I don't like them enough to have one just for the sake of it in fact I've been known to find completely flat ones at the bottom of my bag lol! Almonds are a good idea, my only reservation is that I do really like them but I may wll give them a try. I believe I have some in the cupboard from a Morocan recipe I did a while back. Thanks for the tip.

I DO know what you mean, I haven't yet experienced that with these bars but you never know.

Thank yooooooo :):)

Again many thanks for you time and trouble. I know I'm not tooooooo bad at the moment but I also know if I don't nip it in the bud I'll be back on that slippery slope. I'm half a stone more than I want to be - I realise that won't sound like much to some but it's all relative. It's a lot to me and i WILL get rid of it!!

Darling grandsons (love 'em) have just presented me with a cream egg and a little chocolate rabbit. I couldn't hurt their feelings by refusing them but I said I didn't want to spoil my tea so I'd take them home and have them later. I have decided I WILL have them - when I am 10st 3lbs!!!
In a strange and silly kind of way I find that better incentive than my holiday in 5 weeks! Crazy! And probably should be a bit worrying but what the hell  :) xxx
