We were both the same going to Salou April 26th, the closer it got, the more we thought - oh well, it dont look like we are going. The difference this time is that its been all okay recently until this morning. Sincerely wishing I could blow that ash away............even I DONT smoke that much lol.

I am sure it will be fine.

That's just it I think - we've been lulled into a false sense of security and suddenly .... !!!

I know whatever happens everything will work out for the best in the end ... it's this not knowing and waiting for news that's BIATCH!!!!

AWWW......what a pain this volcano is becoming!!! Have you heard anything? Or do you have to phone tomorrow. They are saying on the news that Manchester closed!!! So, annoying, but hopefully some big gust of wind comes from somewhere and blows it away!!

Like you say, nothing much you can do....getting yourself tied up in knots wont change the situation, so you just have to wait and see, but will be thinking of you!!!!!!

One reason why we have decided not to book anything and do a last minute deal now!

Thanks Iris ..... I understand what you say about a late deal - however everything was fine till this morning so even if we'd booked yesterday we'd be in the same boat. I HAVE said I'm not booking for Greece in September - I couldn't stand this again - I'm on PINS!!!!

Up to now Manchester's showing as closed till 1am - that hasn't changed since 4pm so we're crossing fingers that's a good sign. HaHa - just finding anything to be optimistic about really. We'll be VERY disappointed but we're trying to stay positive and make contingency plans that are good enough to make us sorry if we HAVE to go to Turkey (not really but you know what I mean!) but we haven't really succeeded.

Ah well - hoping to get some sleep, though I know every time I wake up I'll want to come down and check the news

Everything happens for a reason and it'll all turn out for the best in the end ..... I truly believe this but I'm still on pins Lol!!! xx

awww Jan..I know what you mean...you are trying to remain positive, etc....and thinking that all for a reason, but it is still so annoying!!!

I dont think I would sleep either. You just wish you knew someone who worked at the airport and could ask them...inside info!! haha....Tunc friend works for Turkish Airlines at Man Airport, but we dont have her phone number; only the number at Turkish Airline!!!! If I had got on earlier I would have got him to phone and find out for you......

What time is your flight leaving? Is it early in the morning? Who are you flying with?

I don't think anyone really knows anything tbh. The Thomas Cook website is being updated regularly, I'm just keeping my eye on that - but thanks for your concern xx

I think I need to go to bed as I am just so shattered and OH just told me we are leaving at 9am to go to the hospital..he has an appt re his vitiligo and it is in Countess of Chester hosp, so we need to get there in good time! Here was me thinking I was getting an wee lie in ;-)

Again Jan, I really will be thinking of you and hoping all is ok for you! You have been so looking forward to going to my adopted home land
