I had a text from Jan today, she got boarded at 10:55 and they did infact make their 11:15 departure. I then had another text to say - guess what.................................Yeah, she is in Turkey. I just know her and DH will love it and want to go back again.

Update - Just had a text from Jan, her week is up tomorrow. They have enjoyed it but I dont think the weather has been great. She said if tomorrow is nice, it will be her 4th nice day.
At least she has enjoyed the change though - will wait and see if she is a Turkey Convert.

awwww...that would be such a shame to be honest, although May is still the very beginning of the season AND I suppose we have bagged all the nice sunshine !! hehe.....
Will be nice to have her back though, eh!
I am sure she has loved the people and the food, and the weather usually is brill, but if she was going in say a week or two, she wouldnt have any bad days, eh Mary!

Nice to be missed Although poor Mary didn't get the chance to miss me ... all those texts
Okay - I like the people - I love the friendliness and the 'friendliness' (- as in on the days I was on my own when John went scuba diving) and I like the way they WILL take 'no' for an answer very graciously. I can certainly see why it's called the turquoise coast. Foodwise? I liked lots of things, some of it very like the Greek food we know and love. I wasn't so fussy on the spicey stuff but John liked it all.
The place itself Olu Deniz was waaaaaaay too busy and commercialised for us, we wouldn't go there again but if we could find somewhere MUCH more quiet and laid back I would certainly go to Turkey again. Someone I know has recommended another place, Ortankent, which they say is REEEEALLY quiet. There were only 20 tourists there on their first week - that sounds more like what we'd like!!
I have eaten and drunk for England - I won't be going anywhere near a scale till at least Monday!! xx

Glad you are back Mrs!!! Shame you didnt really like the place though although im glad you liked the hospitality and food
Did you husband enjoy the scuba diving?
Are you going to go back Jan or are you going to stick to Greece?
