Thats it Jan, we need to eat the things we like to stick to whatever plan we are using. Blooming hard isn't it trying to shift a few lbs.

RIGHT!!!! I've been giving it a lot of thought and it really doesn't compute with me how I can possibly lose weight (as a 55 year old couch potato) on the same number of points as a 23 year old who runs miles and miles several times a week. If I havent lost at LEAST 1.5lbs this week (and judging by my hops on & off this week I haven't) I am stopping counting. That might sounds nuts but I am having 29 points because I can. I know for a fact that I have taken too much food to work every night this week and there's only been 1 day I haven't had the 29.
I will continue to use the ww guides but I'm going to listen to myself more. I've known I'm having too much but had it anyway 'because I could'.
In an ideal world I will have lost 2lbs on monday and will continue as I am but somehow I doubt it!! Am beginning to panic about the 10lbs and number of weeks I have to lose it!!!! :( xx

I see where you're coming from Jan, its all too easy to pop something into your mouth because there are 'points left' to spend.
 
I know Mary ... this was why I resisted starting counting stuff in the first place :( !
 
Yup, you were worried about this werent you Jan. Totally understand where you are coming from though. I'm sure you will figure it out and im positive you can make a big dent in that 10lbs before you jet off :) xx

Yep that's a thought Mary. I may do the veg soup thing for a few days - I don't know. Feeling a bit disappointed and still hoping monday will bring a good loss - can't see it but hoping nevertherless. ***big sigh*** xx

I really do understand what you mean about eating because we can. I do sometimes pick on things in the evening cause I have points left!!
 
Good luck .. but dont be too hard on yourself and remember the points are guaged without exercise first so you havent done anything wrong! However we know our bodies best ...
Im sure you'll hit on a formula in time!
