Ah Jan, I can sense your total frustration at trying to shift the few pounds before your fab holiday. It would be so lovely to have those few lbs in the bank to put back on again when away. You are making sterling efforts between pretty much GL choices/WW PP/Calorie counting.
You are pretty much at your ideal weight so it is very difficult to shift that 8lbs no matter what you do. I think the only thing is to really cut back on portions (if there is any left to cut back) and to try and reduce the vino for a week or two. They do say that our bodies will burn up the alcohol cals first leaving our food cals to store as bloomin FAT!!!!!!!
I know when I reach a plateau, cutting out the alcohol is the only thing that helps get me kick start to lossing again. I put on a bit over Xmas and have lost some but need to lose a bit more. I am managing a STS at the minute and it is because I am having my g&ts as well as a few too much snacking.
Youre still the Queen of maintenance as you show that moderation works. Keep on shining:grouphugg:
 
Even on Lipotrim you never had great big losses Jan, so I guess half a lb or a 1lb is really good for you when you look at it in the long run!

I know its not what you want, but on lipotrim, if I remember correctly, you were getting weeks of losing 1.something - am I right?
 
I'd get 2-3lbs as a general rule but there were a few weeks I got 1 or 1.5lbs - v v v v v frustrating but then I KNEW there was nothing I could do to be any better so stuck with it. Perhaps one of the reasons I'm loathe to cut out the alcohol is that it really is a last resort and if I do that and still don't lose there's nowhere else to go ... or that may be yet another excuse ;)

If I didn't have the time constraint of 13th March I'd be (sort of) happy with 1lbish a week - would you all please remind me of this when I come back!! :D xxxx
 
Maybe you are perfect as you are!!!! We are always our own harhsest critics and can be far too hard on ourselves. So enjoy your drinkies and start thinking holiday!!! Tackle any gain when you get back.
 
Definitely will. What about doing your protein days for a week, still with a few drinks on your days off? Maybe just cut out the carbs for a little while.

Of COURSE I'm perfect Molly!!!! :giggle: However I'd be even more perfect 8lbs lighter ;) ... I don't want this half stone to be a stone when i come back - that's the thing! And if I start thinking like that now it'll probably be a stone before I go LOL!! xx
 
I'm gonna do my 'soup' for 3 dys and then see where i am - I may well do high protein then till I go away.
