Well hope the headache feels better soon Jen :D and that you have a lovely weekend, I swear blind by measuring cups
how else would you know how much Vermouth to add to your Voddie haha!!

Oooooo I want a cocktail book now too hahaha!!!
Head is much better today, I think I need new pillows, these ones are carp and too hard I think...!

Wow, well done on the loss! You're a good advert for PP-ing anyway :D

The choc fondant looked delish  You must be such a good cook, wish I could make something like that

You sound just like me, what you do with your time off and to relax. A wee bit of shopping, Bad Girls, polishing off choc truffles..!

Enjoy the weekend and hope you get good news from the interview :D

Fankoo! It was really easy, trust me Im nowt special in the kitchen.... Melt choc & marg, whisk eggs with sugar, mix them both up, fold in some flour and bung in ramekins. Chill for an hour, then a red hot oven for 7 mins.... Easy!!

Chocfon looked lovely - why was I so surprised it was heart shaped, I mean, this is Jen's diary I am reading here people! :p

Well done on the loss too. Starrrr. xxx

What, you seriously expected one of those Michelin star bog-standard-run-of-the-mill round ones? Puhlease.... :p
Wait til you see what I have in mind for the whole Pancake Day shenanigans ;-)

Well I wrote a hell of a post, pressed "GO" and the computer told me to "Write more than 3 characters".... WTF? It was about 2000 words long....
Anyway!!! Excuse the bullet points :p

- Tea last night was a "one pot bolognese" adapted from the Just For Me book. Equated to 10pp for the whole pan, and I got two huge bowls out of it. So I pointed at 15 points because I didn't trust the pointing..
- Bolognese is officially the best comfort food. EVAR.
- I think I am turning into a hippy, fashion-wise. Interesting development for an ex-goth :p
- Enrolled in college to do a Diet & Nutrition qualification to add to my slightly disjointed CV... I have Art, Graphic Design & languages at A Level, a Geography degree, a course in Logistics, now this Nutrition one, and I have asked for information about a Criminology diploma... I just like learning, and I didn't do any in 2010...
- Back in the Wii Challenge - 30 minutes dancing this morning and I'm pooped...
- 365 Project - Still going, with some pretty lame pictures in there but Biker said "You? You'll never stick to that".... so Jenny Queen of Stubbornness is sticking to it like GLUE *blows raspberry*
- bought chopsticks. Hurrah! Come on, international post, they are coming from Hong Kong... How can they make a profit on a sale totalling £4.68, sending a package of 2 pairs of chopsticks halfway round the world.......

I'm feeling a bit dithery, so best keep schtum about diets today... :) x

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii :D:D just a few things... one can i come and see the Pandas with you please :p ... two ermmm when is my chocolate gooey fondant coming through the post? and three need any company at college!? as i miss learning haha im such a dork i hate all the assignments though i just love the social aspect of it :D hope your having a fabulous weekend hun and your feeling better now, still off for the family meal? if so enjoy!! :D xxx

Ooooh you're chocolate fondant looked amazing! Like Nik at first I was like 'heart shaped?' then realised I was in your diary!

Sounding very chipper Jen - it's lovely. Sounds like a couple of days off work did just the trick!

Hope you're having a good Monday x

Good grief Jen when you get going you really get going. I love the thought of a diet & nutrition course.

Have a fab week you x

Easy come, easy go. Motivation has flown away and I want to eat everything in sight.
Starting with 4 slices of toast for breakfast.
:|
Stupid cow...!

I've stopped panicking now :p
Porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea... porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea.... REPEAT AFTER ME!! This will be my mantra for the day! Hehe

That's the spirit Jen - we can all 'draw a line' even before lunchtime it's possible. It is never too late to draw your line!

Porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea. Doesn't sounds bad at all my lovely! Keep with it for today and you'll feel fabulous tomorrow :)

Porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea. Porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea. Porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea. Porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea. Porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea. Porridge for lunch, stir fry for tea.

:D :D you can do it hun!!!! keep going :) :) xxxxxx

It ended up being Chicken n chips for tea on account of having no veg in the house!

Made it to the last day of the WW week with 2 weeklies, and 13 APs so I should be ok today.

Hope everyone has a good day today. I'm tired this morning, had one of those nights where your head is full of stuff and won't shut up!x

Ah good ol' Mr McKenna... I read that book, ages and aaaages ago, he does make sense!

Food today has been a bacon sarnie for breakfast, and porridge for lunch. Snacks of fruit and yogurt, and I have some WW digestives for later. Total 16 so far. Plenty left for tea and contemplation scoffage.

I may be a few days later than Hannah's prediction of Monday being the day for contemplating life, the universe and everything, but it has well and truly hit me last night, right smack bang in the face.

I can't seem to put anything in words. I keep typing stuff and then reading it back, and deleting it because it doesn't read right.

And now, I just had an email to say that I was successful at that interview and did I want to accept the role. It's officially a temporary contract with a review after 3 months. Which means that I could be out of work again shortly after Easter. But Biker said that this is probably just a get out clause "incase you are cr.p which you aren't :)"
However, where I work now, they are intending to outsource my department's work by Easter. And there is no guarantee that there will be replacement work for the team.
It's in a different location, on a different industrial estate, which is just as easy to get to as here, so location is not a deciding factor. Well, it's about 3 miles further on country roads instead of through villages, but better traffic-wise.
The money, it's the same rate and conditions that I am on here so that is not a deciding factor.
The company has a good reputation too.

I'm tempted. Part of me feels like I'm not up to the challenge of a new course, a new job and a new health regime all in one go. Then the other part says in for a penny, in for a pound.. Why not change everything in one go? A new job would get me out of the "routine" that I am in. The sitting at work boredom-eating routine.

I deal with the worst case scenario. These are the options:
1 - Take it, hate it - Get the agencies looking for me.
2 - Take it, like it, but not kept on after 3 months - Get the agencies looking for me
3 - Take it, like it, potentially kept on or taken on permanently..!?
4 - Decline it, stay here, contract over with the outsourcing - Get the agencies looking for me
5 - Decline it, stay here, given a different role after the outsourcing - See 1 / 2 above
6 - Decline it, stay here, outsourcing cancelled so stay here in same role. Will lead to boredom, looking for new work - Get agencies looking for me...

Those are my options I think. Hmm. I need a good think this afternoon, they want an answer by close of business today...

i say go for it! sometimes it does you good just to change everything! which you will be doing like you say in all one go! keeps you more motivated i find! :) just think about what will make you more happy xxx

Go for it, if you dont you will be in the same situation anyway! go for it!

You know what Jen
I have a good feeling within my bones about this and I concur
Take it hun you have nothing to lose
and plenty to gain from it, it's just the sort of thing you need
A new challenge will give you a new lease on life x

I think this is a grey area unless you ask a real WW person, like a leader or something... The general consensus is that you use it or lose it on ProPoints, but the way I see it, "normal" people would compensate by having "healthy" food around a night out, so if I want to have 60ish points one day, I can have 20 the next day to balance it out, making the most of the free froot n veg.. That's what your average "normal" person would do, I'm not stuffing myself with 40 points of carbs when I only want a vegilicious stir fry! Cos that is where the cheese sarnies come into the equation... no no NO!

Rant over! haha

I'm doing something radical here - Planning my meals in advance, once and for all... Mainly because I have to actually use what's in the house before I go to Tescos again... Three times in the past 4 days, I have been and "stocked up"... I have tonnes of food, it's ridiculus!

Anyway... The plans:

Monday - Turkey Steak, rice and veg
Tuesday - Beef steak with peppercorn sauce, roasted potatoes & veg
Wednesday - WW Chilli Beef Pizza with spicy potato wedges
Thursday - Chicken & Chorizo risotto
Friday - Lamb steak with spring onion mash

And most of the lunches consist of quorn steaks, sliced up in wraps..

So the theme of the week is STEAK!

And next week will be FISH!

And the week after, will be CAKE!!!

I kid... Best not risk the cake thing. Maybe donuts... ;-)

I got some earmuffs to keep me ears warm when I go my walking. Hurrah!!!

I'm stuffed today. Total of 38 points, and got 5 meals and a dessert out of that... I could get used to this! x

Can you give me the recipe for your chicken and chorizo risotto? Sounds lovely :)
