Life begins at 40, maintaining with SW for Life -Green days & some EE/Red photos inc

No he might have meat to my veggie stuff - last night we had the same veggie mince but essentially we have the same meal.

He needs to cut down anyway and lose a stone there or thereabouts so it won't hurt him !!

He's trying 5:2 I think as yesterday he just had a bowl of porridge then stuffed peppers for dinner and a couple of biscuits

Yes that excess wash! lol.

We both tried the 5.2 diet too and lost a bit but we're really people that need regular feeding! Joseph doesn't need to lose any weight now as he's 5' 5 1/2" and just under 10 stone. Annoying thing is that he's quite competitive re weight and kind of gloats that he's less than me...but I'm 5' 7"...and my BMI is always less than his but somehow he can't see it!

I'm only 5 4 and my husband is 5 5 1/2 same as Joseph !!! So he should weigh the same as me or just over

I should weigh about 10 4 and that's what my consultant wants me to weigh - ha ha

My target was 10st 11 should have been 10st 10 for a two stone weight loss but I was going away and I just wanted to call target

Again I think it depends on build etc. Joseph is very stocky and his grandparents respectively came from Poland & Romania. Further back on his mother's side the great (etc) grandmother came from Spain. He obviously carries those genes as he looks either Spanish or Italian. He doesn't carry excess weight well at all and worries if he gains. He also has to eat for heart health.
My friend at sw is also 5'4"...she set her target for a 3 stone loss so reached target at 10.8, also not quite in the bmi bracket. But she looks great as you do from what I saw in your bikers jacket pic!!

Hi guys hope you don't mind me joining you here but I saw Janet-Elizabeths name and I'm nosey! I am not in my ideal bmi or at the weight the books says I should be 12 stone 9lb is manageable/maintainable for me! I have been 19.5 stones in the past though and all that extra fat is never going to just vanish. I have been 12st 4lb but I couldn't maintain it! :banghead: This eating plan is the one for me no doubt about it! I probably do more 4 - 3 weeks as I eat much less esp carbs on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday will tea time (red days). I have started the new plan - mostly today so we shall see if it makes any difference at weigh in day next week. :wave_cry:

Hi Donna, I'm sure Jaffa will be pleased to see you here too.
That is an amazing amount of weight that you've lost in total... Yes I think it's about feeling comfortable in our own skins no matter what the scales or bmi say.
I'll be interested to hear how you do with EESP...there seem to be a few members on here giving it a go. I've already decided I'm staying with what I know works best for me...no matter what they do with the hex's and syn values! :p

Jaffa, yes those events seem to come round fairly regularly so hope you can do the date in February.

Hope your appointment goes well and hassle from the doctor

Lol meant NO hassle of course!

Hope your hospital appointment goes well Jaffa!

Thank you both .

It went really well although clinic was really delayed so my appointment was two hours late.

The plus side meant I was seen by another consultant as my one was called away which meant he didn't mention my weight or bmi at all.

Just said everything seemed good to continue with whatever I've been doing and next appointment is 6 months time so all good

Now I'm just waiting on the other results from the other hospital - the worrying results

Glad that your appointment went well Jaffa, and fingers crossed that the other results are good too!
