Me, Myself & I... Lower carb, fasting, real live foods

1st kettlercise class of 2014.. HRM 515 kcals .. Didn't go all out took it easy, as could feel my heart rate rising .. Also had breakfast, don't think I'm in the right place to skip meals and exercise in a fasted state yet .. Think my legs are going to hurt tomorrow :) glad I went !
 
I ache/ hurt! Walking up the stairs, and down and Picking up anything hurts ... Lol I ache all over ..
 
I knew it would be bad the "ouch" of a good workout.. But you just forget the reality lol

Was last day of my "whatever" diet plan.., which included wheat and other grains .. Going to do my blood test tomorrow ..

I know from what symptoms I had while eating wheat that.. I'm intolerant.. Gas, gurgling, bloating, rash on my head flaring up, bumpy rash on my arms, legs, stomach - back again whereas it had almost gone .. various other TMI things as well .. I enjoyed eating the items .. But I'm better off without them!
 
Ok today was my last day of glutton gluten eating ;)! Blood test this morning .. Waited from 9am- 11:15am and still didn't get seen - they had "issues" with something this morning ., had fasted till 11:20 as thought it had to be a fasted test .. Um nope could have eaten .. Was so hungry ended up gobbling stuff from costa .. At least didn't get the shakes, just felt nausea and headache ..

Went back at 4pm with my kids .. Was nobody in the que! Was so quick !

Tomorrow is a new gluten free morning/ day and rest of life will be as gluten free as possible, give or take various road bumps :)
 
This week's WI reports a gain.. (400g) on I kind of expected it after what I've eaten last few days; have a birthday to go to on Sunday too.. But looking for a good week next week.. It's harder than I thought to resist the gluten goodies .. Just need to remember I do not want to feel like I do at the moment :)
 
Went to my kettlercise class again today :)
HRM 551 kcals. Once again didn't go hard out but defiantly worked hard lol hoping my legs feel less achy this week
 
Finally got my period .. 6 days late .. Which means my cycle is now back to 32/33 days; it's taken 3 months for my body to re-start its normal rhythm .. I've stopped the pill in Oct, after talking to the doc about various things including hormones/ weight loss. I started taking the pill due to my periods being very heavy and long .. But that was end of 2010.. So let's see if coming off the pill helps with any thing ..
 
Have been wheat free for 6 days now, the fog and other symptoms hopefully will be quick to disappear :)

OH bought some fresh Turkish bread tonight .. Was so tempted .. In the end just had a BIG sniff and put it away :) felt good to say no thanks - don't want the side effects !

Just need to keep an eye on my rice and potato habit .. During my week of totm I eat more carbs as it what my body seems to want/ need.

Still craving salt, not sure why?! but have switched to sea salt. My mum gave me for Christmas some pink salt - just need to find my grinder - also doctor was ok with me trying a kelp supplement.. It see if it helps reduce my salt cravings.

Had my blood pressure checked and is all good 130/80 pulse 65..

Going to be working on my consumption of potatoes, switching to sweet potatoes and saying no to fries and roast potatoes ..

My days of eating "whatever" are over :) just need to convince my body and mind that it doesn't want those things as they make me feel like crap !!

Slowly getting my primal eating habits back in order ;)
 
Hi MB, well done getting back to primal. I'm not sure i could just sniff the bread though - easier not have in house!
 
3rd kettlercise class.. Feeling much better during class now .. Although I think I need a new heart rate monitor strap .. I recorded 777 kcals today with ave heart rate of 169 .. My normal is about 550 for the class .. So I've ordered a new strap and will test them together once I get my new one, also spoke to polar and they said that if I sent them my old one they will replace it :)

Woke up feeling much less foggy today and felt more energised - actually hung up and put another load of washing on while cooking breakfast for everyone :)
 
I ache today, knees a bit stiff .. But am not sore (yet! Lol) from my kettlercise class.. Am tired and sleepy today .. But think that's just my body wanting to rest because of my exercise class..

Managed to avoid the rice yesterday .. But was wanting something carby so had some potato with dinner... One step forward one step sideways .. :)

That's good though Hun, you could have had carbs twice, so so much better :)

All good on the WI 1kg off ..
Plus 2 weeks of mod carbs and no wheat, head/ scalp issues have stopped.. Weight going down too :)

My blood test came back for gluten/ Celiac and I'm a weak positive at 6.5 .. Doc advise avoid gluten as I'm more likely gluten intolerant.
 
4 th week back at Kettlercise class. HRM 492 kcals. Ave heart rate 132 bpm. Legs were like jelly afterwards :) at least the pain in my legs has gone now, being week 4 my legs have got used to all the squats..

New Heart rate strap makes a big difference :) results more accurate.
 
Lots of walking today as our car is "sick" and needs a check up .. Hope to get it back late this afternoon or tomorrow ..

I have a docs appt in the morning and getting to school with kids and back to docs .. Is a good 8km walking ..
 
Oh my gosh I have walked 19,910 steps so far today ... 8.5 miles .. Feet are aching and I'm soggy ...
