MWWWD (or Moonwatcher's Weight Watchers Diary!)

2 things at least you should be congratulating youself on....you have courgettes I haven't even seen one in 4 months, and secondly you are one of the warmest most lovely persons I have ever met and I suspect in real life you are even better, wear something that you feel comfortable in and in a good colour not black and just be mw, who cares if ex wife wears prada, cleary OH knows a good thing when he sees it xxxxxx

Sorry to hear that you are feeling down.
You are a gorgeous person inside and out and you have come so far hun and worked really hard to get to where you are. No matter what you wear you will look fab. Once you get there you will be fine I know you will

Sorry to hear you're feeling low. I hope you're feeling more confident by the christening! Just remember that your OH is with you, not anyone else, he chose you! And you're such a lovely, caring person. And you've already lost over 2st which is amazing.

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down about the imminent christening and dress buying but 3 weeks is a long time, you could have lost some more weight by them and therefore have more choices of frocks and I'm sure whichever you will choose you will look beautiful.
I'm liking your preparation with regards to your meal out tonight, as my diary says 'If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail' so you should be just fine :) x

Just to say that no matter how you feel today, just remember how far you've come and how rubbish you would have felt prior to beginning your weight loss journey with an upcoming event to go to and nothing to wear. You're doing great, I think everyone has people in life that they feel 'huge' compared to but please don't let this sit on your confidence as I'm sure you'll look lovely!x

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments! I am in Costas at the moment with an Americano and a gluten free choc brownie and an hours free wifi, so thought I would just pop into the Minimins support network!

I was really touched by the things you all said and they did make me feel a lot better. It was probably unfair of me to pick out OH's ex as there is no problem between us and we do get on well. I think it was because she is the only person I know for certain will be there and the last time I saw her was at a wedding which has pretty unpleasant memories attached to it. Again, nothing to do with her, but because of some awful stuff that was going on at the time, and also because of a disastrous choice of dress on my part, which looked great in the changing room, because it was too long and created a sort of flattering fishtail look, but once it was turned up, the night before the wedding, it changed the shape completely and looked horrendous. Anyone remember The Onedin Line? Ship in full sail just about sums it up. That was nearly three stones ago though, and I will NOT be wearing that style again!

So I decided some retail therapy was in order - not necessarily for the christening, but just 'cos I can! Left OH at home, so it is very civilised and chilled, wandering just where I want, trying things on etc. I have hit a few of the good quality second hand shops and the remains of the sales. Don't have a lot to spend, but having a lovely window shop and so far have picked up two dresses, a top, 3 necklaces, two canvas pictures and a jumper (yeah, I know it is 75° outside but it was my colour for £3.50, couldn't resist!)

Will update last night's food later. Over my weeklies by about 2-3 PP, as they had saved me a piece of gluten free chocolate torte specially! I promise to walk around as many shops as possible to work it off!

Hope you enjoyed your days shopping you deserve it. Glad you are feeling better hun.
Cant wait to see your food update for today xXx

So, update for yesterday first...

Thursday August 29th

Breakfast - one ounce gluten free muesli with s/s milk (4PP)

Lunch - can't really call it lunch, but had one warm gluten free jam tart, with a tspn of cream, and about 4 hummus chips (6PP)

Dinner at the pub - 6 ounce burger, chips, salad, a little blue cheese on the burger, diet coke, cup of coffee with cream, plus the most gorgeous gluten free chocolate torte, made with four different types of chocolate and topped with chocolate too. It was chocolatey!

They were extremely helpful at the pub - checking and double checking everything was OK 'gluten free wise'. They import their desserts from USA, and had made sure that a piece of the gf option was put on one side for me. I wasn't expecting to get a dessert at all and couldn't say 'no' under those circumstances! Well, I didn't say 'no' anyway! I thought (hoped) it would fit into the points I had left, but looked the nutritional info up online when I got home, and it actually came in at 13 PP. That made the total for the evening 37PP, including the coffee to follow the meal.

Other drinks - milk in teas and one coffee with cream (3PP), water

It was 'only' a burger meal, but very, very good. My burger was perfect - juicy, but not greasy.

We were in Norwich about an hour early, so we wandered round the city, reminiscing about the shops and businesses which used to be there years ago when I worked there. This got me a few APs in too.

Totals for the day - 50PP, 29 dailies and 21 weeklies. Gone 3 over on my weeklies, but not going to stress about it! 4 APs earned today - 14 earned so far this week. Will keep to points tomorrow. WI on Saturday.

Hope you enjoyed your days shopping you deserve it. Glad you are feeling better hun.
Cant wait to see your food update for today xXx

Had a good day, but knackered - shopping is hard work if you do it properly! LOL! Just about to update for today now.

Update for today, Friday 30th August (OH's payday, which was handy!)

No breakfast.

Lunch - went to Costa as had seen something online congratulating them for including gluten free options. It didn't say that both options were cake! Bakewell slice (don't like it) or chocolate brownie (do like it!). I wasn't very hungry, so decided to stay and have the brownie. Together with the coffee it saw me through the rest of the day's shopping, and I have to say was very, very good. (14PP - 11 for the brownie, and 3 for cream in the coffee). Sat on the comfy seat, with my coffee, my brownie and their free wifi. Not a bad way to spend half an hour or so!

After more shopping, where I managed to add a pair of jeans/jeggings, blue wedge sandals (£3.50, and they were Clarke's too!) water filter refills and hair dye on special offer, new mascara, a Poundland selection of soaps and shower gels etc., and a cream lace lined jacket to my haul, I staggered back to the car and then home.

At home - small bowl of the leftover curry from the other night - quite a lot less than that portion, so counted as 4PP, and later a cheddar, tomato and cucumber gluten free sarni with low fat salad cream (8PP)

Other drinks - water, milk in teas (1PP) Had two points left - could have not used them, but really fancied a gin and tonic, so used them on that (2PP)

Totals today 29PP. 3 weeklies 'over' for the week. APs earned today - allowed 4 hours walking, which should be about right. That is 17PP, so total APs for this week - 31

WI tomorrow. Can't do anything else now but wait!

Best of luck with your WI.. Do you go to a meeting or do it at home?

Thanks JoJo. I do it from home now with the Ultimate Food Diary app. I have been to loads of meetings in the past, not just WW but the full set of slimming clubs! Eventually I realised they weren't for me, but I know lots of people have success by attending them.

I have the app too.. Find the barcode scanner super handy!! I've gained nearly every week since may.. So this week I joined here to actually be honest with my tracking.. I'm really enjoying the site I have to say and this is the first weekend I'm planning on tracking to a tee.. It feels different this time :) how do you think you will get on in morning?

This is a brilliant forum and so supportive. I'm hoping for a loss tomorrow. I have recently gone gluten free after a lot of problems, and accidentally had wheat last week, which bloats me out and it seems to take a week or two for my body to recover, but I am keeping my fingers crossed!
