MWWWD (or Moonwatcher's Weight Watchers Diary!)

I am reading all the diaries I subscribe to, but not posting to them at the moment because 1) work is crazy, with so much to catch up about new pupils each night and 2) I am getting to grips with my new phone, which is taking ages. I have had it since Monday and just about know how to do everything (well everything except actually answer a call - suppose I should try that out!)

Anyway, I am about to cook the fish for tonight, so will update for food later. Had a letter this morning from the hospital. I have to go for an MRI scan on Monday evening. The biopsies and ultrasounds were `unremarkable` according to the specialist nurse and they saw nothing to worry about in them. but because my ca125 blood levels are up from when I last had them done about 7 years ago they need the more thorough MRI to rule out anything which may be causing it. Good they are being so thorough but it is like an emotional roller coaster - biopsy good :) oh no wait, ca125 up :( , but scans ok :) , oh no wait - we need you to come for an MRI because we still don't really know what is going on. :(. There is never a good time for things like this, but the new school year is possibly the worst time for me as it makes it tough to stay in the ultra calm but firm mode I need for the newbies!

That still sounds like positive results from the scan. One of the only times you actually want to hear that you look "unremarkable"!. The more thorough scan i am sure is just being over-cautious, but like you said it definitely could have come at a better time.

Aaargh. Just typed a long reply and lost it.

So will just say points for the day = breakfast 4. lunch 8, dinner 7, snacks 14. Totals 33, 29 dailies and 4 weeklies. One weekly left for tomorrow. APs 2 - walking to and from school and several laps of the school site tracking down lost year 7s!

Atomic- looks like we crossed posted again. I`ll be glad to get the MRI scan over and done with, for sure!

Is your weigh in today? x

Should have been WI this morning (Sat) but had a massive mountain of macaroons followed by a packed plateful of pizza and a large lot of loaded potato skins last night ( sorry, but have been doing alliterations with year 8s at school!) so have delayed it until tomorrow to give myself a chance to get rid of the junk food bloat! It was all gluten free, so nowhere near as bad as it used to be, but loads of salt I'm sure! I'm really not too bothered about the scale results this week though - just want to get Monday's MRI over and done with, and the results in. The scale result has taken second place to that really.

Have added up yesterday's indulgences and this week have used all my dailies, weeklies and APs. May manage a STS tomorrow, but used quite a few of my weeklies today which included the rest of the pizza, so not sure what I will see on the scales in the morning.

Went shopping this afternoon for some work trousers - 3 pairs, one each of black, brown and a kind of herringbone grey. Also had a quick look round my favourite second hand shops and picked up a very pretty skirt, black with grey and white velveteen flowers on it, a pair of black sandals, a short cardigan/shrug and a patterned brown/cream/rust top for the grand sum of £12.50!

Food for today

Breakfast - Gluten free cereal flakes, milk and sweetener (6PP)

'Lunch,' actually late afternoon while shopping - Americano and cream,
Costa gluten free brownie (14PP)

Dinner - the rest of last night's pizza and a packet of cheese and onion crisps (19PP) Golden delicious apple

Drinks - milk and cream in teas and one more coffee (3PP) glass of cider (4PP), water

Totals 46PP, 29 dailies and 17 weeklies. Weeklies remaining 32.
APs - calling it an hour of walking while shopping - 4

Well I managed to pull a STS out of the bag this morning! Ok considering I used every single point I could find, including my APs! New week now. Forgot to say that yesterday's clothes were all size 18 apart from the top which is a 20, but that is a 'boutique-y' type stretch fit. Oh, and the sandals if course, which are a small 5! Size 18 doesn't exactly sound tiny I know, but considering I was a 24 -26 when I started, it's a pretty good downsize! I am feeling rather smug about my wardrobe at the moment - not because they are size 18s, but because since my sort out/throw away session on Monday, it's all neatly hung/folded in type/colour order, and there are only two things in there which I can't wear at the moment - one top I bought ages ago to slim into, (!!!)and one dress which needs a dart restitching. It had got to the stage where half the stuff in there I either didn't like or it was too big, and the stuff I did like was buried underneath! It made work mornings a stressy nightmare. Now I can easily find everything and can pull anything out and know I can wear it.

Having something with mince today - OH is dithering between cottage pie and spag bol. He has a sore throat and cold, (awwwww) so I am letting him choose! Washing to do ready for next week and that will be about it for today I think.

Thanks Shez. I started at 17 and a half stone, so at the moment my loss is 2st 5lbs. Struggling to get back into the 14s as I did get down to under 14 and a half, but have lost my way a bit this year. The end of September is my two year Minis 'anniversary' so I need to get myself back on track. If I could get back down to 14st 7 by Christmas, at least I could say I weigh less this Christmas than I did last year - only two pounds less, but still less!

Well done on the sts. It's always nice to get into a smaller size, gives you a bit of a boost :)

aww thts brill :)

Congrats on the STS! Good luck for MRI tomorrow x

Thanks all. Hoping for a loss next weigh in. Would like to see the 14s again soon.

We had a lazy morning today, then after lunch we reorganised our back room. I suppose it qualifies as a utility room. Chucked a load of rubbish, moved the freezers, the tumble dryer and the spare fridge around so that I could reposition my cross trainer and exercise bike to allow me to actually get to them without climbing across half the room and two freezers! They`ll actually get some use now!

Food for today, Sunday 8th September

Breakfast - gluten free cereal, milk and sweetener (5PP)

Lunch - 3 gluten free buckwheat and 3 gluten free corn crispbread with
cheddar and branston pickle,
cherry tomatoes and grapes (10PP)

Dinner - Spaghetti Bolognese with plenty of veg to bulk out the sauce, (including loads of our home grown tomatoes and yellow courgettes) two ounces gluten free spaghetti and a sprinkle of cheese with home grown fresh basil - 16PP, followed by more grapes

Snacks - two thirds of a packet of cheese and onion crisps (3PP) more cherry tomatoes and grapes

Drinks - water. milk and cream in tea and a coffee with cream (3PP) small glass of dry cider (3PP)

Totals 40 PP, 29 dailies and 11 weeklies. Weeklies remaining 21.

Spag bol sounds tasty :) You're always so busy, I just get home and collapse on the sofa most days :D We have an air walker in the loft but there's no room for it in this house, it's too small.

Woohoo STS well done!! I'm weighing this eve.. Really hope I'm down.. Reckon 1lb will even do xx

Hi all. Can't believe I haven't posted since Sunday. The specialist nurse phoned me this afternoon when I got in from work and the MRI shows nothing unexpected and all normal (well normal for me, which isn't normal, but hasn't changed, if you see what I mean!) ... and breathe! I'm not quite out of the woods yet - I have to have another blood test in about three weeks time, to see if my ca125 levels have changed. The specialist thinks the endometriosis is the cause of the slight rise, especially as it is judged against the previous one which was over six years ago! . Apparently this can still apply even after menopause, but they need to check that it hasn't risen any more over a six week period, as if it has then they will need to investigate further to see what is causing it.

Will try and update food later. About to rock and roll with a small peanut butter and maple syrup toastie!
