NannyDoreen & Upndown's daily diaries

A guy from CS rang me and said they have none in any of their warehouses. It may be due to a change of suppliers or a change in HL products. Ok I accepted that until one of the girls in SW group put on facebook that she got some 2 days ago with her online shop. SO he lied. Or told me what he has been told.
I have had this before with Tesco - they stopped a particular pack of 15 eggs, and I complained several times. Not enough call they said. However I could get them on `Click & Collect` which you have to pay £3 for. I complained several times, after 6 months they came back.
I will do what I did before, get as much of my shopping elsewhere and continue to bring the shortfall of their Superstore back to their attention. They will know I am not doing much in their store. The guy that rang says they have a record of what I have rung up about in the past.

Another thing that he said was that the Everyday Value low fat yogurt - 45p for 500g - and free on SW - is available but not in their store. I was told that they had stopped doing it. This guy said to go into store and fill in a complaint form which I willl do on Saturday.

I found that an e-mail gets a response. Will definitely do that again.

Wow Doreen - you're a one woman campaign!! These big companies are all about profit aren't they? I don't think they give a fig about their customers!! But good for you - pointing out their shortcomings!! xx

Well I have been to bed but cannot sleep so I am going to watch a repeat of Endeavour while my Kindle is charging.

I'm still up too - hope you can sleep after your programme.h

I've had a busy day - house jobs, been to MiL's, picked Poppy up from school and took her to her swimming lesson - then tonight had a marathon phone call with one of my sister's who has a few probs at the mo.

Well I hope Doreen, Linda and I are going to have a smiles on our faces at WI in the morning - can tell I've lost but still feel porkier than pre Christmas!! Good job I can look back on the season with happy memories!!xx

Hi, I'm new to SW (joined last Saturday) & minimins - just wanted to say I am enjoying looking through your diary, it's nice to get ideas for meals :) - Kirsty

HI and welcome - this is a friendly thread and if you can cope with our nuttiness (not the kind that's a Healthy Extra B!!) you can ask all the questions about the eating plans that we did when we joined!

I think that SW is the best diet I've ever tried and I've tried lots! But it does take a while to get used to its unique way of eating - but it doesn't take long to get into the swing of things and the losses are well worth it. Good luck xx

Went for a walk and had a sugar drop. Bums. Bought a coke to get them back up, 7 syns a coke so that is 15 for today.

Well you were still within syns Doreen and as has been already said - you had no choice - and I was glad to read you're feeling better nowxx

Well I'm off to bed - late I know but needed to relax before climbing the wooden hill - notice Doreen's green light here has gone off so hope you're sleeping or resting now.

tbh I can't remember what I've eaten today - I've been on plan tho' (Success Express) to the best of my memorty - it went like this:

Brunch: 60g wholemeal bread HEB, 19 or 20g (can't remember now!) garlic & herb cream cheese HEA, lettuce, cucumber, cherry toms.
FF yog and berries

T: veg casserole as earlier in the week,

Snacks: Freddo 5 syns, 2 apples, orange cherry toms

Drinks: 2 or 3 coffees part HEA ss milk, water, diet lemonade, ran out of fruit tea bags

Think that wd be a bit more than the 500 cals that the 5:2 requires - but best I could do - driving around and eating on the go!!

Good morning ladies... It's been a while since I popped over this way, I do apologise! Xxx

Well done Twinny! Even though you expected some gain, that's not too bad, and you'll continue to lose this week. Getting back on plan was the main achievement this week, wasn't it and you've certainly done that.

Let's hope Doreen has a good loss and can be our prizewinner today, as I've lost a grand total of...... half a lb. Still, not too bad considering totm due today and I often gain then, guess its counteracted that at least. I'm going back to doing EE now, as I want banana and yogurt, and kiwi and grapes lol. Funny how we get excited over extra fruit and yogurt, when it used to be cream cakes and chips or similar!

Off to get coffee now and eldest is dropping off Jamie's things for his weekend here. Unfortunately Millie has woken covered in spots on her arms, legs and face.... which seem to be still developing, not sure what it is yet, we'll see what happens. There is chicken pox around the area, though she's not been in contact with anyone that we know of that has it, they've not actually been out much. Or it could just be viral, or an allergy... who knows lol. Time may or may not tell. She doesn't seem too poorly atm, that's the main thing.

Will pop back in a bit to see how Doreen has fared :)

And we love you - it's great to have you back here!!xx

Well - I lost 1/2lb. I am not going to be upset about it as a loss is a loss and I have lost 4 weeks in a row which I have not done for a very long time.
Thought it would be more but it won`t make me have more. Maybe an extra syn or 2. What do you think.

Not too bad since before Xmas. You have obviously pulled some back. Onwards and downwards for all of us now.

Needed a bit more luck!

Hope Millie is ok. If is chicken pox it might be good to get in out of the way. Not very nice tho.

Well done Doreen - glad you're content & don't forget what half a pound of lard looks like!!

Plus it's your 4thweek with losses I think? You're doing really well and if you carry on as you have been - u may see more loss from this week's effort showing on the scales too!!xx

Yay Doreen, you lost and that's what counts. Same as me, half a lb but yes, remembering what that block of lard looks like really does make it look better.
I'm having a few extra syns today Doreen, but still within the 15. Just working out todays food, in between reading diaries  I'm easily distracted :)

You are both very right. I am working on an S&P day today. To replace spuds I am going to have swede&carrot mash with broccoli and peas. Pork chops for my P

Not sure what else, and the extra B is a problem, I can only think bread. Can`t keep crackers or crispbreads in the house. I suppose I could have the bread with my soup. Will see.

I am surprised I feel so content about the 1/2lb. Was a little surprised but felt ok. Now where does that come from. It is all well and good saying to others 1/2lb off is better than 1/2lb on, but I don`t need that, :D
