Silvermanes food diary - Extra easy plan

Saturday is going to be a Flexi syn day. I plan on staying on plan for all my meals and snacks and I am going out to a bar/club with my sister and friends and some family as a few of them all have their birthdays next week, so its a birthday celebration night. I haven't had a drinking night in ages, so I am going to get tiddled. I am a 4 glass of wine girl, I just cant drink like I used to lol

I am writing it here, so that I can try and stay focussed and my OH is gonna keep me away from the kebab shop LMAO!!

It sure is, I have discovered through experimenting and a bit of trial and error, that my body seriously cant take loads of white carbs. If I eat too much of them, I wont lose. So I changed over to wholemeal pasta and rice, and Although I will have white potatoes, I try to replace as many meals with sweet potatoes as I can as their nearly 3 x more fibre in them. Although SW says we dont have to measure I have to portion control my carbs, otherwise again I wont lose. I do think its my thyroid that is the problem with it.

So far I have got away with having to have any operations because of it, but am on thyroxin. xxx

thats given me something to think about re the carbs....I know if I have bread its a big no no, but Ive never really sat down & given much thought to anything else specific.

I had to have my thyroid removed because it was OVERactive & had a growth on it.....my weight dropped to 6st 13 with it (looked flipping awful at that weight too )sods law they had to remove so much it ended up underactive....and needed thyroxine which meant constant battling with my weight all the time until the got they dosage right. I shot up to 10 stone in 4 week after the Op

I'm loving the recipes you post & the piccy's of the finished result....I can see me doing a lot of pinching of your meal plans ha ha x x

I put on 6 stone in 6 months, they blamed me for it initially even though I was in a very active llifestyle, and I was trying to diet and nothing was happening. Took a locum to check me for it, I ended up making an official complaint about it. As it can be dangerous to go undiagnosed.

Feel free to nick em, that's exactly why i post them!

Thats terrible  god it makes me sooooo flipping angry the way people get treat

My 1st Brain Op my (ex) Doc refused to send me for any referrals with my symptoms & just kept saying my eye spasms & pain were down to stress. After 2 years of bugging her it had spread all down affecting the entire side of my face & neck she eventually sent me to a neurologist who scanned me & found I had a Tumour and a twisted artery touching my facial nerves causing the spasms which needed immediate surgery ( the old witch had let me go 2 years like that)
I had to have the surgery for the artery/nerves 1st as the tumour was an accoustic neuroma so benign and as such not vital to be removed until after they had sorted the main prob out (the entry point was in a different site in my head) and the main op was over 10 hours long anyway. Then I had the tumour removed at a later Op & finally the inner ear to try sort the vertigo. Its been a bloody long 4 years!!! :sigh:

Its your right to be referred!! I hope you made a massive complaint!! Luckily for me my OH is a nurse and so she is very gung ho about this sort of thing, but at the time I was not with her! lol She came with me today and was very firm with him. She is such a viking lol (she is Scandinavian - from Sweden) I wouldn't mess with her lol

yeah I complained through the PALS system the Doc has now retired & sold up the practice, she was a complete nightmare when you needed anything....the new lot are great tho. I didnt actually do much about kicking up a stink at the time as I was going thru a pretty miserable split from my ex - My new chap put the wheels in motion soon after I met him (I don't think I could have found the strength the get over the Op AND all the complaint stuff) OH's come in handy for us wobbly heads dont they :D

Well today is a new day, and my first flexi syn day. So I have given myself an allowance of 4 glasses of wine. Which is about a bottle of wine. My OH has promised to keep me away from the takeaway which is going to be hard as she is the DD and everyone were giving a lift to is going to want food after we leave the bar/club. So I have said I am going to stand outside, so I am not tempted! LOL I love pizza or kebab, so this is going to be hard!

CHANTS *I can do it, I can do it, I can do it, I can do it, I can do it, I can do it, I can do it,*

I's got a new outfit! ;)

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you had M.E? My mum was diagnosed 18 months ago and she has been having awful trouble. The doctors and specialists are no help whatsoever and they treat her like she is making it up :(

Anyway hope you have a fab night tonight, I am going to go and look at the picture of your brownies again....

I have had it since 2006. Considering the recent research discovery, you would think her doctors would be better, my GP is amazing and tbh that's part of the battle. He is referring me to a specialist in m.e and fibromyalgia. They are few and far in-between unfortunately. There are a few though dotted about, half the problem is that they don't know how to treat it, it was classified as a neurological disease by WHO and it's certainly not a made up illness. I send you some info when I am on my laptop, to help her arm herself!

As for brownies you can look but not touch lol

Will get my OH to take a piccie of me later so u can see my outfit. I am a 20 in top cos me boobs lol and an 18 on the bottom. Nearly a 16 but not quite, can get them on but not do them up cos my stomach is too big, so it's not my ass that's a prob for a change lol

She has promised! No matter how squiffy I am lol. Will do a photo later! ;)

Mmmmmmm 'Lush' bath bomb and a got soak. Just what I needed after a walk out with Spirit, my 7 month old foal. A bit like walking a big dog lol.

Met a very stupid car driver who beeped her horn. I couldn't move over to let her pass as there was black ice on the road. So I signalled to her that I was going to turn left to get out her way. So she revs right up my ass and beeps. Then she couldn't understand why I shouted at her.

Spirit was wearing from head to toe yellow flourescents. So was my sisters horse so was my friends horse. We all had fluorescent tabards on. My sisters has flashing red lights on hers and in large letters it says 'caution young horse, slow down' in massive letters. So were stand out massively.

Apparently were giving horse people a bad name because we didn't risk crippling our horses by forcing them onto the black ice, which is incredibly dangerous, to give way to the traffic. That my youngster who had never been out before should be able to handle a car beeping at him. Even an experienced horse can freak at loud noises! Get this, she has horses!!!!

Incredible!! I was fob smacked and I put myself in front of her car with Spirit and gave her a right mouthful!!! I don't often lose my rag, but I gave her what for. Blooming idiot. No horse is bomb proof. Yes we try to give way to traffic where we can, but not if it could cause a dangerous situation. I could cheerfully have slapped the stupid cow! Grrrrrrrr!!!!!

Anyway..... Hot bath, nice soak, burgers are chilling in the fridge, wedges ready, OH making a yummy beetroot salad. So despite the silly driver I am feeling pretty chilled.

I hope you are enjoying yourself!

I'll have to do that next Saturday. We almost never go out but we are visiting OH's sister in Edinburgh and are going for a meal and drinks. We rarely have the money to go out (or the babysitters) but by happy coincidence the inlaws want the kids that weekend and we have had a small, unexpected financial windfall, most of which is going on sensible things but OH wanted a night out with his sister. I almost wish we weren't going so soon into the plan but I'm just going to try and be sensible and keep the syns low this week and next week. I go out so infrequently though I do want to enjoy it. I'm going to dig out that brownie recipe for you - it's a very adult recipe, very rich and chocolatey. Will try and post it tomorrow.

The driver sounds really arrogant. I can't stand aggressive beeping and reving of engines.

Last night tea of homemade burger, and crunchy wedges served with a salad.

I make the burgers in my food processor. 500g extra lean mince, 2 onion, 3 cloves garlic, 2 Oxo cubes, salt and pepper, italian herbs, 2 eggs and blitz onions before adding mince and then blitz til all combined and make into patties. You can make 8 patties. You can use this for a meatloaf as well!! :D

Had a good night last night, didnt eat takeaway, didnt go over my 4 glasses of wine, except when they dared me to get chained to the cross lol Where you always have to down a shot, but other than I was good! Although because I dont drink much, I had a wicked hangover this morning!!

Anyway as promised. My piccy!

Oh well done you for resisting the takeaway!! I love your top! Where is it from do tell. You look lluuurrvvvllyyy. Did you feel nice? I like it when you get a new outfit, makes you feel a bit nice.

Burgers look good too, I have never quite got the hang of them, they always seems a bit crumbly, but I was mixing them by hand, I have a food processor now so might try it that way!

Glad you had a nice night xx

The tip I can give is when you food blend them, do it until it looks almost dough like. The I use two spatulas to make the burgers, as over handling them makes them warm and gooey. I always chil them to give a chance for the herbs to infuse.

I did feel nice, I dont normally wear something so brightly coloured, I bought it from SimplyBe its a designer name Anna Scholz. Came in a box lol. Was in the sale. I have put a link for it for you. Everyone commented on it, so that made me feel good, and I treated myself to a Gok Won Banger Booster bra and new frillies as well! So I felt really dressed up and special. :D The thing about the top is it has a tie round, so I can tie it a bit tighter as I loose weight.
