Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Not sure Jim, don't think they've had experience in hiring contract people - they were treating it like a permanent job, demanding a month's notice and so on.

But never mind that tedious job stuff - NEWSFLASH!!!!

I've been offered a mooring here Welcome To Maypole Dock
It's way out west London but is under £300 pm for mooring fees. Plus I've found a nice boat to match - VG Boats for sale UK, VG Used boat sales, VG Narrow Boats For Sale 50ft Widebeam - Red Dwarf - Apollo Duck

It needs to be transported down to London because widebeams can't get through all the locks, so that's about £2K - but the marina says the owner will take £55K.

What's the verdict????

Oh wow! It's really open and spacious and not very old either. I wouldn't envy you the Porta Potti though, would you be able to change it or do no moorings have sewerage?

Thanks both babes, glad you like it :)

No sewerage connections in moorings, Lisa hun - but the chemical loo will do for now (and they have pump out facilities, although imagine that with a hangover bleurgh!) - am thinking of a composting loo, it only needs empyting once a year for a one person use, but they're about £1000 so will see how I get on for the moment.

To buy a widebeam in London like this would cost £90K plus. It's cheaper because it's outside London and boats withouts moorings just don't sell.

OMG I love it Suse... you have to go for it!!

Its doesn't rain men's underpants for no reason you know.... its an omen. x

Wow Susie, that looks fantastic:D

Lol re underwear as an omen though!

Morning Susie, go for it love, both mooring and boat look fabulous

Morning all and thanks for the great feedback (especially on the omen front hehe). Just need to confirm the size of the mooring, go and check it out and then it's off to Sheffield to look at the boat. Lucky I'm going part time really so I can fit all my own stuff in :)

suze thats stunning babes xxxx

OMG OMG I've just been offered another mooring (after waiting 18 months I get offered two in a week, mad!) exactly where I want to be - in South Dock marina in Surrey Quays!!! I'm going for lunch with the harbourmaster next week so more details to follow.
