Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Oops think I posted on Lisa's thread but will say the same on here, glad you are keeping your spirits up, must be hellishly scary at night especially. Loadsa hugs to you xxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning Susie, the news says it was quieter in london last night, I hope it was and you are safe and well love

Thanks Jim - and morning all

Orbit and I are safe and well this morning - a little bit shaken (me, at least) but defiant in spirit. Had about a dozen cars with looters in them (stolen probably) pull up in the residents carpark outside my flat at 2.30am, making lots of noise and shouting that they were going to burn the building down - and very obviously swapping stuff they had looted. Orbit was right beside me peering out the window, funny girl :)

I rang the police who, bless 'em, came really quickly and arrested the lot of them! A neighbour knocked on my door to see if I was Ok so we sat up talking and drinking tea until 4am.

Bizarrely, when I went back to bed, I was out like a light and woke up at 7am feeling fine. As I left the cars were all being moved by a tow truck, to be impounded, I guess.

There was definitely a news blackout re Lewisham, with trouble stretching right out to Eltham, presumably to calm things down and not give anyone else any ideas - but you only had to go on Twitter to see what was happening (filtering through all the rumours!). About 400 Millwall supporters were starting to march from Eltham to Lewisham to 'protect' us - but this was just another excuse for a fight, and the police stopped them.

One poor guy tweeted to say he walked out his house and onto Lewisham Way, around the corner from me, and ran straight into a massive group of would be looters! But the police were really out in big numbers last night so they kept everything reasonably calm.

Let's just hope things stay that way and don't kick off again on the weekend.

And now back to normal transmission...

Kept on induction yesterday (apart from two Atkins bars - but I needed the faux chocolate yesterday), and determined to crack the 200 next WI.

B - sossies and eggs (cooked in coconut oil - nice)
L - roast chicken salad
D - pork belly and cabbage and leek
W - 2 litres
E - walking
A - no

Hope everyone is OK.

Oh Susie!! How scary for you and Orbit! But thank goodness the police were able to react so quickly!

And, you're SO close to cracking the 200s!! Go Susie Go!!!

I thought there must have been news blackouts as I'd heard about more things happening via rumour but nothing reported on the news!

Hope you have a good day! x :)

OMG Susie, what a night for you - so glad you are ok and they got arrested xxxxxxx

Really impressed you are managing to keep the eating under control and not resorting to comfort eating - really really impressive babe xxx

Glad you have Orbitcat for protection ;)

Thanks lovelies

Am starting to hit the wall a bit now. Was going to have my lunch outside but it's so lovely and warm, with a little tickly breeze, that I feared I would nod off :D

And I'm sure you'll all be glad to know that there was no trouble at all where my new flat is :D

You poor thing Susie... hopefully you can slide home a bit early and then veg out on the sofa - or pop into bed for a nap... :)

Yes... take care Susie!!! Orbit and the cop shop will protect you! Especially if they know you're a damsel in distress ... or rather - there are 2 damsels - you and Orby :)

LOL Di, well this damsel is about to tuck into some pork belly slices and watch a bit of tellie - Castle is on at 9pm, my favourite - but the last in the series

Enjoy Susie! x :)

I don't believe this - it appears to be happening again!

Choppers, sirens, a riot outside Lewisham College and allegedly the EDL is marching into Lewisham - just what we need.

Orby and I on standby with a hose to repel all borders....

Good grief Susie!! I can't believe you've had to deal with it again!! You poor thing! So scary!

Hope you can slide off work ... I hears loads of sirens so guessed there were still pockets of trouble... Take care! x :)

Morning Susie, I'm just watching the news, Birmingham was all quiet last night, so hopefully it's all going to quieten down.

Aw Susie, thats awful :(

But a cheeky wee flirt you say?! hehe! Nice one! :p

Hi Susie,
Just running through on the way out the door but saw your title and had to stop by. So sorry to hear that you have had such a rough time - hope it is all settled very soon. My DH view - the rain will help cool it all off! Hope so and tons of hugs
Xxxx

Morning all

Took a while to get to sleep - the alarms and sirens went on until about 4am - but managed a sleep in and decided to work from home - gosh I love this job and having the luxury to be able to do that :)

Orbit was as cool as a cucumber - and managed to catnap her way through most of it - but stayed on my bed all night, bless her.

Jim - re the news, I spoke to a mate at the BBC and the police have told them not to report new trouble to try and keep things calm - but yes, now it's raining that should keep most of the crims at home.
