Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Yes thanks hun, been very lazy but lovely, wish I had a few more of them, instead of work tomorrow :(

Curry cheese burgers are in the oven, ready to eat with lettuce as the bun :) I have loads of eggs and vaguely contemplating making some mayo...never done it before and imagine it's horribly messy - anyone?

500g mince, mix in a load of curry powder and herbs, form into burger shape, slot a slice of cheese in (one mini babybel per four burgers this time), fold over and shove in the oven for 30 minutes :)

Needless to say, these are an experiment - I'll report back on the taste front.

i love making my own mayo...usually do it in the blender...i only make enough to do a couple of days tho since its fresh..lovely with a hint of garlic or lemon

Oooh what's your best recipe for it Laura?

Burgers shrank heaps in the oven and the cheese had all melted out of them - so will try them for 10 mins less next time - but they were still lovely.

probs 3 egg yolks and then put blender on and slowly add the oil till it looks mayo consistency, I usually dont bother with recipes...then around a tsp of vinegar but to your taste really, salt and pepper too if I remember.

Hope the sty shrinks soon Susie... Nasty things - sounds like you're run down and your lazy weekend helped it come out ! Hugs xx

Thanks babes, I've been putting hot compresses on it and it's coming down but is unbearably itchy, as is the excsema on my (shhh) boobs - I'm just one big scratchy mess :)

Definitely the come down from being hyper/super busy!! Xx

Hugs Susie, I hate being itchy (always happens when I OD on bread and such evils.............) hope it all eases up quickly xxx

I get patches behind my ears that are red and itchy, not sure if it is excema or however the hell you spell the bugger.....but I use Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream on it, smells atrocious but a couple of days with a couple of applications and it goes away for ages - very expensive though, see if you can get a trial sample to try xxx

Morning Susie,

I get a rash on my arms if i overdose on carbs, how strange is that?

Morning all

Well as a test group I think we've proved that carbs can equal rash! Thanks for the 8 Hour Cream tip Brendle, I have tubes of the stuff at home and love it for lips at night (I buy it off eBay :)). Been using Eumovate for the boobies because it stops the itching so it has a chance to heal - but will try doing 8 Hour Cream as well.

Got to work at 8am this morning to find no computers and no phone - someone pulled out the wrong plug or something! Just back up now TG because I'm so reliant on the puter I've been sitting here twiddling my thumbs!

This week I'm going to try and get on top of the Atkins breakfast challenge. I just don't have time to do eggs every morning, it stinks out the office when I can get to the microwave to heat it up and cold eggs don't do it for me - so (even though lovely Jim will start shouting FF at me), have just had low carb granola with Alpro soya milk and about 50g Alpro soya yoghurt, and it was lovely - very filling, and easy to organise. I used the Flax Z Snax one from LCM, 1g carbs per serve, so the whole lot came to under 4g carbs.

Lunch is chicken with spinach, lettuce and mayo dressing. I use mayo a lot, it's my staple dressing on virtually everything, so am watering down bigtime to make it go further and reduce the carb impact. Sussex Valley is great - 0.2g carbs per 100 - but hard to get hold of, so to make things as simple as possible, will order Oak Lane mayo from Tesco in my next order, it's 1g carbs per 100.

Dinner will be leftover curry burgers with cabbage and leek.

How does that all sound?

Honestly, how many times have u mentioned Mayo recently?!

Stop it lol! :p

I have alpro soya yogurt every morning Suse, couldn't live without it.x
