Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Evening all

Just in from flat viewing. One is a possibility, it needs a lot of work but its cheap enough so I can do it. The other was horrible....so will wait and see what else comes on the market for now.

Evening Susie! Love the cauli recipe!! And good luck with house hunting!!

Sounds like your boss will make things a bit better for you but If you want to meet and/or call for a chat I'm here for you ! As I was up a tad early this morning would be best to wait until my brain can function again! Xxx let me know if it would help xx

Morning all

Lovely long sleep and not much to do today, except the job application :) Thanks for the offer of a chat, Di, will defo be in touch if I'm not sure about anything.

Must also sort out my laptop - think it's a problem with Firefox as my browser, it keeps saying it's transferring data and not loading pages properly. I've defragged and cleared out the cache/cookies/etc, but it's still doing it this morning so I may have to move over to Chrome, I think, it appears to be faster.

Morning Susie... Hope you sort out your lapdog and the application form ... Must be hard getting your head around applying for your job! Xx

Morning, lots of niggly problems there, good luck with them all....flat hunting, job app and laptop.

I had chrome but its stopped working gone back to plain old internet explorer, why do they get corrupted?

Hmmm well a bit of an unsatisfying day here - installed Chrome, uninstalled Firefox, Chrome was as slow if not worse, tried Opera - that was dreadful, IE is no good either - so reversed the process, and I'm back with Firefox!

Then I thought it was maybe something on my lapdog (lol@Di), so I've cleaned out my system, got rid of all the temp files, tried all sorts of config solutions - but it's still lagging and hanging, and I really don't know what the problem is :(

Oh well, at least it works a bit :)

Hi, have u tried safari, I find that is quite good when FireFox acts up.

Morning all

All good on the IT front here today, I reset the wifi and that seems to have done the trick :)

Had a lovely sleep in, made a few calls to NZ, put some chicken in the stock pot and now I'm about to have brekkie - happy days :D Mr Sainsburys comes this afternoon, so will have an Atkins friendly fridge by 4pm.

Also saw an interesting flat on Friday - it's a bit of a dump but in a way that's good so I could remodel it just the way I want it. It's just one bedroom but that's the reality of London prices, sigh...

Hope you're all having a nice day. Been a bit slack on diaries but will catch up today xxx

Yay hurry up mr sainsburys. It's lovely stocking up for a new plan, I think. Getting to decide what yummy things you'll be making. Getting cold so a good time for stews and casseroles - going to have to think about that when I next get a chance to shop. So you're back on Atkins tomorrow?

Re: flats - don't rush it, I'm sure there's something (even at London prices) you'll feel is definitely going to work for you.

Hi Susie, Atkins-friendly fridges are wonderful things! :D

Mr Sainsbury comes to me on a Wednesday and leaves my fridge practically overflowing with meat, cheese, eggs, colourful veggies and fruits - so much yummy stuff I hardly know where to start!

Hope you find what you're looking for flat-wise - it really is a mega-massive decision, so definitely best to take your time and see what's out there xxx

Thanks all - the fridge is cleaned and ready to go go :)

Appreciate what you are both saying about taking my time to decide on a place - but I've been looking at houses for over three years now, had three fall through, and I just want to get settled.

Plus, the sad reality of London is that prices are going up here every week, and the longer I wait the more out of reach things get :(

The flat I'm thinking of isn't bad at all, it just needs some work to be perfect :) See for yourselves (and ignore the blue - think all white, nice floorboards, and so on) - 1 bedroom flat for sale in Waverley Road, Plumstead, London, SE18, SE18

I would have enough £ to do the whole place up - new kitchen (the room is a great size) and new bathroom so I get my long dreamed of step in shower - it's much bigger than in the pic. Nice big garden with lots of potential (once it's cleared), and the bedroom will be fine once I put in french doors - leading out to a pretty enclosed courtyard that runs down the side of the flat. Also a nice looking street and the bus is round the corner.
