Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Hi Susie, just subscribing to your diary - wow it's huge will take me ages to read through, gonna take it a few pages at a time. What do you do for a living, sounds like your a journalist :) I specialised in journalism up until leaving Uni 12 years ago but then after failing to get a dismally paid job for a construction magazine in Manchester because I wasn't a man I didn't pursue my career on this path any further. Think I'll write a book instead lol Lisa-Ann xx

Hi Lisa-Ann - LOL yes I've been here forever - and I can post for England :D I do PR for a conservatoire, really love it.

Morning all

Another busy day, but it's great to have the teaching staff and students back, liven the place up!

B - bacon and eggs mmm, soya latte
L - chicken salad - my fav with mandarin oil and mayo dressing
D - roast turkey and cabbage (which I didn't have last night)

Enjoy the tropical weather brrrr :)

Which soya cream do you use in your lattes Susie? I can only find the alpro single cream and it's more carbs than normal double cream so no point getting it - do they do a double cream version anywhere?

Our work cafe uses unsweetened Alpro soya milk, hun, 0.2g carbs, so my soya latte is made with that.

I use a dribble of Alpro cream in my evening coffees, but I only have them 2-3 times a week :)

Thanks I will look for some when I am in tesco's x

Lol I've just had to look up the meaning of conservatoire, and now I know it's a schoolhouse with special facilities for the arts, sounds fab and very interesting. Well, I'm over a fifth of the way through your diary and it's a good read and really funny in parts a bit like getting to know a diary character like Bridget Jones - will keep going a few pages at a time Lisa-Ann xx

Morning all

VERY stressed this morning. Psychotic work 'colleague' is proving to be a nightmare today, and my stomach is in knots worrying about it.

LOL Lisa-Ann - our "schoolhouse" is actually 1000 students in the UK's biggest conservatoire :) And you're a braver woman than me in reading my diary, even I get bored after a few pages!

Will catch up with diaries later xx

Thanks Meg! Happily I dug deep and found some diplomacy in me (against my fighting nature haha) - so the three potentially explosive issues have now been resolved :)

Also inching closer to exchange on the new house...cross fingers! :)

It's so so exciting!!!! The practical side of me says the kitchen in my soon be house is fine!! But my heart finds myself looking online at new kitchens!! X have you got plans for any changes in the new place susie?? X

Hi susie, just catching up on the bus!

So excited for you - everything crossed - which might make tonights class a bit tricky lol;)

It will happen - and im already planning the party!
Xxx

Ahhh Susie, reading things like this make me glad i work from home - I no longer have to deal with psycho colleagues - thankfully! I've had my fair share in the past and it just makes everything so stressful - not least because I'm not very diplomatic and end up saying exactly what I think ( and usually getting myself into trouble in the process :-(! )

That's very exciting about the new house, bet you can't wait xx

have you got plans for any changes in the new place susie?? X

YEAH BABY :D LOL yes, new kitchen (with a wall knocked down to expand it into the defunct dining room) and bathroom, painted white throughout but some fab wallpaper in the bedrooms, it's gonna look like...home :D How are your plans going?

So excited for you - everything crossed - which might make tonights class a bit tricky lol;)...im already planning the party!Xxx

LOL Katie thanks that post really made me smile when I needed it - bring on the party, girl!!! I think we're looking at late October - a Save the Date note to come soon (I hope).

I'm not very diplomatic and end up saying exactly what I think ( and usually getting myself into trouble in the process :-(! )

You and me both love, and the psycho at my place just knows which buttons to push to make me boil over - then she runs to HR to file a complaint! Still, I'm not alone, the files in HR must be bulging, the way she carries on.

Confession - broke the NMV rule tonight. Despite the above, which sounds like I'm coping with it all, I'm really not. Two weeks of not sleeping properly, the ick at work (plus a glimpse of myself in a full length mirror looking like a grey frizzy haired fat hag) and the flat have me with my back against the wall right now. I'm doing lots of deep breathing and telling myself it will pass - which it will. Feel like a good cry, so am going to listen to some Barry Manilow and have a red or four - that should do the trick haha.

Don't worry, though, one thing about me is I bounce back quickly. Must be the buoyant boobies :D xxx

Aww Susie, sorry to hear you're feeling down - sometimes it just seems to be one thing after another doesn't it?

A glass or two( or four or five :D) of vino cures all ills.

chin up - it'll all come right soon as you say xx

:bananadance:

morning susie, lol you crack me up! Nothing wrong with a bit of kitchen shopping if it keeps you away from the vino ;)
