Hi Tamzy

Sorry to bring more bad new but carrots aren't allowed on Induction, you should try to stick to the list of veg Jim has on his sticky "So you're thinking of doing Atkins" - anything starchy should be avoided.

Thanks hun,
thank god its not dinner time yetor i wouldve ended up with bad day food wise:sigh:

Don't worry, hun, it takes a while to get used to this new woe and all its rules :D

When in doubt, ask away, they are a very helpful lot here - but rule number 1 is to try to stick to the induction rules as closely as you can and then you will avoid situations that might affect your initial weight loss :)

im just really happy that everyone on here are so supportive. i think im going to stay on induction for a few months. is that allowed?

Yep, depends on whether you have a lot to lose of course (like me) - Jim was on induction for about 6 months I think...

It's about finding the right level of carbs that your body can tolerate and you maintain your weight on, so when you're ready for OWL (all described in the book) you can slowly introduce carby food and see how they affect you.

In that case i'll be on induction for quite a long time as my body absolutely hates carbs, i gain weight in no time when i eat carbs. initially i want to b 12.6stones so i got roughly a stone and a half to lose but it would be nice if i could get down to 11stones then maintain from their. but i would be really sad if i dont hit 12.6 by my birthday in may as i want to fit into a size 10 dress

Morning Tamzy, yes i did induction for 6 months, and no root veggies on induction.

Ok no root veg for me.

So I had weigh in this morning and STS. I'm so dissapointed that I made the peanut butter get the best of me, but on the other hand I just came off a liquid detox so I should b happy it wasn't a gain. Here's for 5lbs off nex week!

Brunch- tuna, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, grated cheddar , hot pepper sauce and mayo (so yummy)

Snack. - handful of cashew nuts

D - quorn sausage, 3egg. Omlette and steamed brocolli.

Morning Tamzy, yes i agree with what Susie says ^ most people do put on a bit when they move back to solids.

Thanks for your posts guys, I should really count myself lucky that I didn't get a gain. I felt like I've been struggling today, am a vegetarian and I'm limited to the types of food that I can actually eat, I'm slowly gettin sick of omlettes. Fish anbd quorn. I wish I had other options of how to eat what I can without getting bored.. I'm thinking mayb I should try out some low carb soup or something.

Food for today.

B - 2 fried eggs, 2 quorn sausages
S - jelly and cream.
L- quorn chicken pieces in a salad with mayo
D- kipper I'm butter, tuna salad with mayo

Morning Tamzy - what about upping your carb level a bit so you can have lots more veggie dishes?

I think there's a section in the Atkins book about low carb veggie eating too :)

Thanks for the idea, think I'm going to give it another week and see how I get on. I'm sure I've got lots more food options but maybe I need to explore different food stores and see what's available their. I really need to get to goal by may!

B- protein shake. Kipper in butter with lettuce leaves and mayo.
L - protein shake. Can of tuna with mayo and pepper sauce
