Just made the creamy tuna from that website, didn't use carbalose flour , it was lovely, melted a slice of mozzarella on top of the tuna, yummy! X
 
Morning Tamzy, it must be hard to do this as a viggie love, you have my sympathy.
 
wow that creamy tuna sounds good, i may try that tomoro. and jim your so right, being a vegetarian makes this a challenge for me but i had a look at the site and its got loads of lovely looking meal ideas that i cannot wat to try.


foods for today

B - protein shake, kipper in butter and veggie stirfry with quorn chicken pieces and mayo ( yummy)

S - 2 x jalapeno cheese slice

L - protein shake and veggie stirfry.

D - not feeling hungry but i'll try to eat a piece of roasted salmon with a tiny green salad and cottage cheese.

Hi Tamzy, well done on an sts while swapping over. I'm sure you will get in the swing of things. I stayed on induction level carbs ie 20g for 6 months but did start working my way through the food groups as per owl. Useful to identify any triggers too - i can eat all nuts except peanuts when the carb monster comes out of the closet:eek:
 
hello everyone, thanks for checkin in on me. im finding the atkins way of life easier now, i also find that i get so full from breakfast that i lose my appetite for lunch and dinner. i went into holland and barrett and saw a lot of meat free stuff that i can try and their all low carb high protein chorizzo and meat free pepperami ect, i had a big smile on my face lol. ive also passed a lot of food places and didnt feel tempted once!

katie i love nuts especially salted cashew and peanuts, its always been my downfall along with cheese, atleast now i can have a bit without the guilt.:D

B - protein shake

S - 2 slices of jalopeno cheese slices/ cream tea

L - 3 egg mushroom cheese and cream omlette

S - meatfree smoked sausage

D - lettuce , tomato, tuna hot sauce and mayo, followed by a protein shake.
S - sugar free jelly and cream.
 
Doesn't look like too much to me. Can you get rid of the protein shakes...i'm not really convinced by them and worry they might might stall people (no data yet..just a feeling!)
 
Morning Tamzy, I don't see too much there, I'd ditch the shake and have a proper breakfast, also I don't see enough green leaf veggies there either.
 
Looks good Tanzy. The shakes are good in the morning if your in a rush and can't face eating, but not too often. I know your veggie, so it's a bit tricky. What brand is the smoke meat free sausage and where did you get it, sounds really good. x
 
Thank you guys for the advise, i just think im lazy why i drink the shakes, though it does make me feel full literally all day! its just an easy option for me to take into work as im running out of lunch ideas, but if its going to stall me then i will forget about it and try a different option for brekkie .

jim - i'll get my greens in today, i really do need to eat them as im feeling so bloated.

Coffeelover - I tried the sausage yesterday an it tasted fairly good considering its meat free, i got it in holland and barratts, its in a single packet and 89p each, think ill stick to 3 a week, wish they were in bigger packs and a bit cheaper lol. i think the brand is called grano vista " pepperoni style"

really cannot wait for fridays weigh in, my stomach is looking flat! think ive lost something lol

B - cream tea/ 2 linda mcartney sausages and 2 fried eggs, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms.

S - sf jelly

L - quorn chicken stirfry pieces in a veggie stirfry with grated chessire cheese and mayo.

D - brocolli and onion quiche * cooling as we speak*

hello everyone, i hope you all had a good day! just a quick post sayin that i wont be around as my bf is taking somewhere for the weekend so ill be back on monday. im still going to stick to my diet as much as i can because i dont want to travel with my injections,so if i stay away from carbs i dont need to be injecting. i weighed in a day early amd has sts two weeks in a row now! so angry about this, im blaming the shakes, cream and cheese, so i wont be having any of that for a while. im going to weigh in on monday again to see if anything has changed:sigh:


food consumed today!

B - brocolli quiche :D so yummy.

L/D - went fish and chips shop.... ate the cod,took off the batter *which is the best bit. and had a large colourful salad with full fat mayo and a diet coke:sigh:
