Almost Gem, another £30 in Asda today and I think I only have one thing left to get now. And milk. And I don't have any fishy stuff as I don't like fish but I know at least one guest does so I don't know whether to get fishy stuff or not :/
I had to do some Auntie Taz stuff today. I met up with a friend who see's me as a sister and into the bargain I have acquired a 14 year old neice. She was trying on jeans in Asda and emerged from the changing room looking horrified saying she needed the size 12 as the 10's she tried on were too tight. I told her that Asda were a small cut and it meant nothing then when she went back in to change my friend told me they were worried about her and her eating habits. Realising that the size was VERY important to her I asked my friend how she was paying for them. She said cash so I asked if she wanted me to take her to New Look to try some on as it's only a short walk to the retail park from Asda. She gave me the cash and me and the teen set off for New Look. On the way there we had a brief chat about the importance of good nutrition and eating regularly and the danger of skipping meals. She's not a stupid kid. Once we got to NL I found 2 pairs of jeans, one a 12 one a 10, and got her to try both on and see which ones were comfiest. As I wear them myself I know that there is some elasticity in them and they are cut better than the Asda ones so fit much better. The 10's fit her perfectly so we got them. She was very happy, crisis averted! I know it's easy to just buy from the store whilst doing the shopping but she goes to a girls school where image matters. Hopefully next time she needs jeans they will take the small detour to NL to get the ones that will make her feel better.
