This Little Piggy Goes to Atkins

The sweet and tart's not a world away from so called normal food - think cheese and fruit chutney..

Cheese and salad dressing, though? Hmm Smiley think you may have crossed the line into Elvis food likes there :D xxx

I am soooo windy and stomach achey today! I think it must be the celeriac, as it's the only new thing I've added.

Creamed spinach is fantastic cold for lunch.

Well, that will teach me to be lazy and not log my food in mfp. I logged yesterdays food and came in at a whopping 1830 cals and 36g carb! I will reign that back in today, but very shocked. Just goes to show what can happen when you are not strict.

I wouldn't worry on either front - I have 2000 calories now and then and 36g isn't induction level but it won't have caused problems, ESP if it came from veg.

Can't have been the celeriac responsible for the carbs on its own. 4.6g carbs for 200g.

I don't think I've heard of anyone having wind trouble with celeriac - I'm really really sensitive to that kind of thing and never do. Both flax and sf maple syrup are known for it though, if you had either of those.

Or just search the veg with the supermarket name - 'sainsburys onion' and you'll get British values and won't have to worry about crazy American net carbs ;)

Was it the celeriac pushed it up, hun? What else did you have?

B flax pancakes x 2, dribble of maple, cream
L 8 prawns, mim with ham, mayo, egg and lettuce
D pork chop, creamed spinach, celeriac chips
S choc bark

Got a feeling I've put something into mfp wrong (wishful thinking!).

Yes, I had all those things. Hubbys tummy is the same today too. Not you concerned, it won't stop me having the other celeriac another day!

are you recording net carbs on MFP? if you put in your veg with the words net carbs after you might find it lowers your carb consumption.

Yes, I'm hoping that's going to be what's happened, inputting incorrectly.

Am having coffee with praline syrup, it's very nice. Years ago we had a selection of monin coffee syrups, but they were so sickly we didn't like them. This one is nice.

Afternoon, I have never tried the syrups, trying to avoid anytjung sweet....hope tummy troubles have settled.....it might be the amount of flax...
