This Little Piggy Goes to Atkins

its great fun experimenting with all these different ingredients you wouldnt normally think of

Hi, no I've no idea why it would make you bloated when fried, unless you tend to eat it faster because it's got a yummy topping??!!

Morning, can't give you any advice re cauliflower, it has never had that effect with me......

Gettingfit - you can always steam it in the micro first, then fry it?

Cooking methods can make a big difference for me. For instance, I can eat broccoli no problem if it's well steamed or boiled, but if it's stir-fried (and therefore usually more lightly cooked) it can cause me violent abdominal cramping.

I've never had cauli rice and I don't know how it's made, but maybe it wasn't cooked enough for your digestive system?

Am home, pizza quiche made, celeriac chips in oven, dog walked. Looking forward to a cosy evening with Mr Mine and the pooch.

Try it D, it's very tasty.

Unfortunately it is the celeriac that's giving me stomach pains and wind.

Have just been to aldi, but the shelves were bare! Popped to Tesco and got a quarter of what I would have got in aldi for the price (if they'd have had anything!). Have been looking for rhubarb for days and found it in Tesco, hurrah! Have just cooked some up with ginger, vanilla and splenda. Prefer it cold with cream so just waiting for it to cool. Will chop the other 5 packs tomorrow and freeze it.

I will Susie, celebratory rhubarb for you!

Have just slipped into my bed, pre warmed with a heated blanket on a timer switch for an hour before I go upstairs. Decadence!

Morning all, so much for my easy morning laying in bed. Next doors dog woke me up howling and barking at 7am. Still, it makes a change from the normal 2am!
So, I'm up and about and looking forward to making a butter chicken curry and Swiss roll for tonight. Today I am going to be allowing myself a few flaked almonds in the curry, and some raspberries in the Swiss roll.
Not too much else that I have to do other than walk the dog.

Morning, I live butter chicken, only discovered it recently, I love my carries hot but also creamy...

I agree Sammy, I love that combination. I made mine with tikka paste, fresh ginger, green chilli and garlic with double cream. When it's being served I'll put a few toasted almonds on. Just waiting for the Swiss roll to cool before spreading with vanilla cream and mashed up raspberries with rosewater.

Is the swiss roll the same receipe as the oopsies? I don't really like them as a bread substitute, but with cream and raspberries....sounds yum, I will give that a try..

Not sure about oopsies, but I did 4 egg yolks, 3oz cream cheese, vanilla and sweetener. Whisk up 4 egg whites til really stiff then whisk a quarter of it into the yolk mix and then fold the rest of the whites in. pour onto a lined baking tray. Bake at 180° 15_20 mins.

Swiss roll looks amazing! There's a basic recipe in my bit on the recipes section Sammy, it's more or less the same as oopsie, yes.

Hmmmm may have to have that next week, I've been doing the savoury version instead!
