This Little Piggy Goes to Atkins

Thanks Tracey, yes I'm looking forward to Hythe. I don't think I've been for about a year, and it's got a nice Waitrose!

Morning scrumbles, yes that's the worst over. I usually get a cracking headache and hunger in those first few days, then it goes swimmingly. Of course it's very much dependent on being in the right place mentally, but I am very positive about getting this last bit off. There is a bit of very healthy not wanting to be left behind by my twin, and that really helped to make me realise I wanted to lose the last bit in the same way.

Had a lovely walk around Hythe. Saw some nice looking Twinings Christmas coffee, which had chocolate & cinnamon flavour, in Waitrose. But for £9 I thought I'd do my own. I've ground some coffee and added half tsp cinnamon and about the same of cocoa. I've served it with praline syrup, it's really nice!

Also found a new Twinings tea, Camomile & maple with vanilla. Smells and tastes yum.

Another yummy shake, banana Exante with coffee & Xanthan to thicken.
MFP tells me that I'll weigh 10 stones in 5 Weeks time, based on my current vlcd. That would be fantastic, but that would be 1 stone 9lbs off and I will be very surprised. I think I'm expecting a little over a stone, anything more is a great big bonus.

Had a good compare of Christmas cakes in Waitrose. I love it and will allow myself some on Christmas day, along with a little mince pie. Goodness me it's so carby though, a normal size mince pie was 50-60g! Similar for a slice of crimble cake

Ach, I'm feeling devoid of, well, anything really; energy especially. I'm in bed already, having had a bath to warm me up. I was planning to get into my new downloaded kindle book tonight, but my eyes just won't focus. Instead I'm watching dire TV and wishing I could read. Mustn't complain, my friend Russell had his eyes lasered yesterday, and has compared the feeling to having perfume and crushed glass in his eyes!

Yeah first day its like that i cant say it hurt just felt like i had grit in my eye and light was a nono, i watched tv in bed and even tho i wore the goggles i couldnt look at the tv, i went to zzz for few hours and woke up n it was much better.

i have a headache tonight n blurry eyes so not really been online much xx

I'm partially sighted so a bit too far gone for the surgery but 3 of my aunts/uncles had it a few years ago - all have since gone back to wearing glasses. A much lower prescription, but still. If I had my eyes zapped I'd want superman style x-ray vision after!

So glad it's next sat and not today! We'll be fine by then.

Been to Canterbury this morning to meet mum for coffee, and a look about. Very nice, even in the rain.

Got back to more shenanigans with our letting agency. It's been going on all week and they've surpassed themselves today. Can't discuss because I'm spitting feathers and my post would be full of big, nasty swear words. I've been renting this place for ten years, but blaaaaaaaaaaah, can't even finish this post without getting angry!!!!

Nuked my Exante pack for 30 seconds mixed with a little water & liquid Hermy. It was like hot choc custard and really hit the spot. Can't say I'm feeling much better, but I'm less angry so that's a good thing. Roast chook in oven for DH, it smells nice. Fooooood!

Just had another Exante shake as I was so hungry. I thunk DH and I have some kind of bug, we both have sloshy heads with tight headaches and dizziness. It feels different to other starts of vlcds, I think it's the head cold thing that he says is going around his work. Who knows, but my ears are ringing and I'm lying in bed and the room is spinning.

Is she doing the vlcd too? Am starting to wonder I've caught a bug as well as having infusion after effects. Hope you feel better soonest xx

Good morning Smiley!

Welcome back to the Exante bus :D About time we all cracked this!

Sorry you're not feeling too well, hope you feel better soon xx

Hi all, no he's not doing vlcd which is why it could be a bug. I do remember feeling the same at the beginning of Atkins, D. In fact we've both likened this thing to jet lag, which we had at the same time.
Anyhoo, I am really a good 50% better this morning. Have said hello and happy anniversary to Mr Husband as he came in from work this morning. But now he's snoring I can tell you all that yesterday I bought a chocolate mould from Lakeland and am about to make him a box of chocolate bark chocolates in chocolate box shapes. The flavours will be dark with toasted coconut, milk, dark mint, cappuccino, rose, lemon and dark with almonds. I hope they're as nice as they are in my head!
He's got so many people at work either doing Atkins or seriously considering it. He keeps giving them alternative ideas to the things they're saying they'll miss. So last night I made them some milk chocolate, which he says went down a treat.
So, I'll crack on with that, watch the Armistice service and go out to meet my friend for coffee at midday.

Thank you, that's very kind.

Here are the anniversary chocolates, I am really pleased with them
