Thanks guys, I wouldn't say brave though, I felt physically sick before I hit the send button but thought hundreds of people are going to see me like this in just over a month or so!!

I got them from Very.co.uk I've been after some high waisted ones for ages as the ones sold in shops cater only for those that are supposed to wear bikinis, the alternatives are rather unflattering swimsuits to cover it all up for those that shouldn't be wearing bikinis such as me!! anyway, these fit lovely, as do the tops as they are bust size specific rather than just a 12,14,16 etc....and they have a big sale on too so the bottoms are down to £12 instead of £24.

Not that I'll ever be able to wear a bikini but I like the high waist as a style more than the little wispy things I think. Retro bikini styles with high waists are my favourite style of all. The really tiny ones only look good if you're a brazillian supermodel. Bit like blokes and speedos!

& Jo - being scared and doing it anyway is pretty much the definition of bravery. Not scary? No bravery required.

Yes I know what you mean, I always wear a one piece in black that I've had years! I bought two at the time so when one became worn i could replace with the other as it was the first costume I bought that held everything in place for my fitness test...mortifyingly in front of 30 complete strangers that had fab bodies!

I completely agree!!!

Just found this too, these are some of the models mixed in with the Brazilian beauties....how refreshing, if more catalogues and mags were like this I'd prob feel more comfortable knowing that other women looked the same as me!!

Jo, you look way better in your bikinis than I do in mine, I prefer the high waisted ones too as I still have a hanging tummy unfortunately. Have one very similar in style to the 2nd one. Get out there and be proud of what you have achieved - you are ace xxx

Awwwwwww thanks everyone, I just don't want to be the one that feels out of place this year in the all in one black costume with shorts over the top!

And I want just knicker lines like everyone else when they come back off holiday! And it'll keep me in check for the next 6.5 weeks until I go if I know this is what I'll be wearing!

Still dreading it but so need to get over it! I'm more worried about what my OH will think, been together 4 years and I still won't walk around in just my underwear around him!!

Morning all, well I'm now off work for 4 days and off to Southampton for a wedding on Saturday but leaving tomorrow.....

We are staying at a spa hotel until Sunday which should be nice

Still 10.2 this morning, although did have a small glass of vino again last night!
