Wannabslim's Diary - decided not to go to WI

Awww bless ya Linds, that's so nice of you :) never been called an inspiration before... hehe! You have actually really encouraged me with your last post as I have been feeling a bit down about not losing as much as I'd hoped, as quickly as I'd hoped, but I guess the point is I am still losing, and in the long run even half a lb every week would give me 26lbs off in a year... that's nearly 2 stone, and I'm not depriving myself at all (it sometimes feels that way but then I remember how hard it was on CD and have to give myself a kick up the bum as compared to then, now I've got it easy!!). If I could get 2 stone off between now and my wedding I would be a very happy chappy as that would take me to goal :D :D yayyyy!!

So thanks for that hun, you've brightened up my day xxx

I really mean it though, even if your weight loss has slowed down a tad you have done so well and what i really noticed while reading your diary was you seem to have really good metality about food!!

I always thought diets came with feeling hungry but you use your points so well its given me a real boost to know i dont have to deprive myself.

I have been a bit of a binge eater up till now and thats partly why i have chosen WW to loose weight and try a get a better relasionship with food, im hoping being flexible with what i am allowed to eat will mean i wont want to eat crap!, it always works with me if i cant have it i want it so much more....:)

I really like the sound of your Water arobics classes 2!, i love swimming but get so self aware when i am coming out of the changing room in my cozzie... i wish they had like an underground entrance to the pool so you can just walk throught the door and be straight in the water, like a little under ground tunnel....

Think i have thought about that too much! lol... :D

I am off to a dance class tonight with my sis and couple of friends so hopefully that will tone me up a bit!... The warm up in itself is a work out :)

Hehe well I have to admit that I still eat junk... just in limited quantities so I don't go over my points!! Lol!!

I did PowerJam which is a dance aerobics class and I know what you mean about the warm up!! If I hadn't done salsa before I don't know where I'd have been lol!

Am just waiting for my lasagne to cook at the moment :) yummy!

Hi everyone,

Sorry I didn't post on here yesterday, kind of got sidetracked on other threads.

Had a good day yesterday although was aching a bit after my 8.5pts worth of exercise! It REALLY hurts today tho, blimey! And I have to go to aquafit tonight with aching muscles :( not good, but I suppose my body will thank me for it.

Haven't been feeling quite so bloated since Tuesday morning (may have something to do with taking my last pill on Monday) and my scales at home have budged for the first time in ages, a whole 3lbs since Monday... now I'm not going to get my hopes up as this may just be fluctuations, but they have been stuck on 12.8.5 and then 12/8 for ages (0.5lb less than the WW ones) and have now jumped. Having only lost 0.5lbs in 2 weeks, maybe my body is starting to catch up!!

I had to get on 10 times just to make sure it wasnt a mistake!!

:D :D :D and my trousers today which I havent worn since last week now feel looser... oh yes and my tracksuit bottoms on tuesday night which I last wore a fortnight ago and were rather tight now fit with room to spare.

So, here's hoping that Mondays WI will show a decent loss :) it would be about time!

jesus wouldnt it be fab...keep it calm till mon though hunni and dont get dissappointed (not trying to dash ur hopes but ive been there done that and def have the tshirt!!)

Dont keep getting on the scales hun as thats what i am like then when i dont get the same result i get fed up :)
 
I weigh myself everyday I know I shouldn't but I just do it and have stopped beating myself up over it, its just part of my morning routine now! LOL!!

Well done though, fingers crossed for your official weigh in.

So tell me about your aquafit class, what does it entail, I think I might like the sound of that, do you feel like you have a good workout?

Gemma hun, I only tend to get on the scales once or twice a week, just to have an idea of how its going, and actually they are usually pretty accurate (even though i try to deny it when they're not moving!!).

Lol it does seem that I do a lot of exercise doesn't it...!? It's only 3 times a week which isnt' really that much tho!

Just got in from aquafit, not overly impressed by the person that does Thursdays class (she also filled in for our normal person on Sunday last week). Todays was better as we did about 50% legs and 50% weights to work the arms and tums (they are made of foam but create resistance in the water). Feel like I have done a workout most definitely, but its all a matter of how hard you work it. Some women there may as well not bother cos they barely move and just chat all the way thru. Me, I would rather work it hard for 45 mins and leave knowing I've had a fab workout and haven't wasted a precious evening for no result (as the people who just chat will not find their workout has any effect. I actually wonder if they just do it so they can say they go!!).

Anyhoo, I really enjoy my exercise when I get into it. Its sometimes a bit hard to motivate myself to get up and go to a class, but once I'm there the instructor keeps me going and I always return home feeling invigorated and glad I went. It also helps my body to catch up with the tiredness of my mind.... after a hard day at work sometimes I am mentally exhausted but my body hasn't had any workout at all. A fitness class helps my mind wind down and my body does the work instead. I always sleep better on nights that I have exercised.

I really recommend going to classes. Whilst my membership to my local fitness centre is all inclusive, I rarely actually go to the gym as I find it boring and mundane, whereas the hours I spend in the classes tend to fly by!! I can never believe it when the class finishes that I have been working out for a whole hour :)

So, enough about exercise! I did my food thing differently today as I decided to go back to eating breakfast. I had porridge with a little natural honey, which was delicious, made me feel all warm inside! However, it didn't keep me full for long. I ate it at 8 and by 10.30 I was hungry, as I thought I would and was prepared for. So I ate a Harvest bar I had brought with me for such an occasion (1.5pts) which kept me going til lunch.

Lunch was at 1pm and consisted of a ham sandwich (ww bread), a packet of monster munch, a cuppa soup and a piece of fruit. I also had a second tracker bar (as one is 1.5 points but 2 is only 2 points- bargain!).

That kept me going til about 3 when I had a choccie craving so went for a 2.5pt curly wurly (naughty but not too naughty!) and thats the last thing I ate. Aquafit has earned me 2.5pts and I did 10 mins of swimming beforehand which earned me 0.5pt.

Got 9 points left from todays allowance, its a stir-fry for tea which is only half a point so I may have some chips (have a real craving for them) hehe!

Will let you know what I go for in a bit xx
 
totally know what you mean about people who go to Aquafit and dont do anything! I have all inclusive membership for all Gateshead pools / fitness classes / gyms but like you I hate the gym so I swim twice a week and go to Aquafit on a monday night. Its packed, and yet I am the only one who ever leaves a little red faced and soaking wet! You're so right about getting to classes though - i never feel like I want to go but when I've been I feel so much better for it, and not only do I feel worked but in the morning I'm not in pain haha :) another great thing is that the water hides the flab too!

Thanks for the tracker bar tips too - I'll be taking advantage of that! :D

Yay! I am so glad to read this! I am sure you will have agreat WI on MOnday! You so deserve it :)

All this talk of the pool is making me want to go! I am starting aquafit on Tuesday. I am quite looking forward to it actually.

Yayy well done Lea hun, glad to hear you're soon to be a member of the aquafit club! Thanks :) and to you Nas :) I just hope they dont go back up again now!!

Just had a stirfry (0.5pt) a mini pizza and some chips, and have now used up my points for today, not including my activity points. WW leader advised I use my activity points as it may be that Im not eating enough for my activity level. So I have 3 points still to use. Am thinking something sweet. Probably a snacktime galaxy or mars... hmmm....

well, have had my shower and my galaxy but i dont feel at all sleepy now. so am sitting here with 0pt jelly watching tv :) i love WW x
 
I need to stock up on 0pt Jelly. Do you buy little pots or make up a big one?
