Well, I have had a fab day today, spent time with my family AND bought my dress.
Firstly for the dress...its beautiful! have made some tweaks to the original design so that it really will be unique... cant say too much in case mike comes on here!! If you want to see pics pm me your msn and i can send some to you!
For lunch, I created a buffet, and was very restrained. I only had one of each thing and it was enough to keep me going without using too many points. 9.5 to be exact, and that included a mini scotch egg, 1/4 a small pork pie, a 1/8 of a quiche, some Walkers Sensations, a plum, a 1/4 of a sandwich and 1/8 of a cake... yummy!!!
Could not believe my mum today. I was really happy that she came but on the way back Christmas was mentioned and she started saying about how she shall make sure not to buy me chocolates this year so i dont gain weight over the Christmas period and suggested to mikes mum that she doesnt buy me any either...
I was like WHAT???!!!!? why do YOU get to decide whether or not I WANT chocolates for Christmas?? She started saying about how its a difficult time and she doesnt want me to put on weight... I told her to think back 2 years ago to Christmas when I was on CD and only had the plain turkey and sprouts on Christmas day... no chocolate or anything. Told her that I have enough willpower to decide what to eat for myself (thank you very much) and its my decision if I want to eat chocolate. Just cos she cant eat it without gaining weight, doesnt mean I cant indulge a tiny bit as long as its within my points.
She made several jabs during the day about my figure/weight and it really bugged me. I know she loves me to bits and I love her back, but it really gets to me that even after all these years of being the root cause of my problems, she's still doing the same things that made me overweight in the first place!!!
Sorry, rant over. Now for the positive stuff!
My dress didnt fit me very well today. Why is that positive? Because it is now TOO BIG
!!! I asked what size it was (a 14, which I was over the moon about) this time, as I didn't check last time I went and I wanted to know for my own sanity and to give me a goal to drop to the next size down by the time I go to be measured. SO the fact that my wedding dress will DEFINITELY be no bigger than a 14, and even then would need taking in, has given me a massive boost! And it was tight before so the fact its now too big is brilliant! My hard work is paying off
and its only been a few weeks!
So I am really happy now
especially as wedding dresses tend to be a size bigger than your actual dress size. No way am I a 12 normally but I was expecting to need a wedding dress of 16 at least (as I am a 14 in most things so I thought my 'wedding dress size' would be 16), so to be a size smaller is a real surprise!!
