Todays been a long & hungry day!
Got up early as we have Leannes baby shower tomorrow so I've made the cake and 40cupcakes (ok mum made 10 as I ran out of time) so quickly gobbled breakfast, got cracking with the baking then drove to Torquay to see Derren Brown, which was soooo good!!!! :D

Didn't realise its 'young farmers weekend' there and so the wetherspoons werent serving there full menu only certain foods; panini's, toasties, chips, burgers & crisps. Great, not what I wanted so popped in the shop and got some nibbly bits.

Home now, hungry, so munched some cottage pie mince but am off to bed now so wont eat any more.
Calories stupidly low (step & pump should be fun tomorrow having not fueled properly today!) but i'm sure the alcohol tomorrow will make up some of them! ;)

Yeah Sarah, C25K is how I started :) I think the nhs now are advertising it too on there website!

Sunday was a lovely afternoon, little bean got so many presents it was ridiculous! Was nice to finally meet and chat with Leannes mum and one of her sisters properly.

Sunday morning phys was fab as always. Missing it now for two weeks which is a bummer but I've a christening and a wedding!

Food sunday not too bad I dont think. Alcohol wasnt that bad either. Monday was rubbish though! haha

So girlies, I have a bit of news .. I ended things with Stevie last week. It took months of searching for the right answer and months of trying to make it work but in the end, it just didn't feel right anymore!

Todays run was tough, I've figured out why too. This time last year I was running with energy gels and as of yet, i've not had any. I am tempted to go and get a couple now and try them out again as seriously, by mile 9 I am really beginning to flag!

I'm sorry to hear your news Tanya. I hope your doing ok :)

I always use gels, I try and wait until about mile 6-7 before having one. They certainly make a difference to my run!! I sometimes have one before I start my run too.
 
Yup, I have been and bought some. I have only bought two for each long run though, thought i'd have one around the mile 4 mark (so its kicking in around the mile 5mark when theres a big hill) and then again around 8/9miles then I should be fine till the finish line.

I believe plymouth has a energy drink stop this year. I won't use it though, those drinks really dehydrate me whilst running and I feel I need more water!! x

Hope your ok Tanya, you've obviously done what right for you - you should always follow your heart.. I'm sure it must have been difficult after being together such a long time..

It wasnt an easy decision to make. We've been together for 8years. It's sad that its come to an end and I do wonder if I am making a huge mistake but if I don't feel like my heart is broken after splitting up that surely has got to be saying something!

I want to wear them out sunday but, i'm good with shoes & can tolerate most heights buuuuut, with the half marathon 4weeks away, and going to the barbican on sunday for drinks, where its cobbled streets its not a good idea! So i'm having to wear a bit of a lower heel :(

Aw I'm sorry to hear your news. You're right, if you don't feel broken hearted then you probably have done the right thing. I hope you can remain friends with Steve. Parting on good terms makes life easier in the long run. You are very young and have lots of time to meet new men.

Last night at work tonight for 9days. Trying not to let 'holiday mode' creep in but i've got a right hankering for a curly wurly!
Got a busy time off too with going out for a meal tomorrow for lee and leannes birthday (proving baby isnt here!) and then meeting people out for a friends birthday. Sunday a christening and then out on an all dayer for bank holiday (think it'll be save to assume there will be no weight loss come thursday after sundays alcohol!!) then monday chill out, tuesday a shift, wednesday an 11miler & getting hair done, thursda out for my friends actual birthday drinks & food then friday its off to bristol for the 2nd of the 3 family weddings. Not looking forward to it at all. Secretly I am hoping Leanne goes into labour on friday so I don't have to go!! This is the wedding where they banned children after they found out leanne was pregnant! :rolleyes: and so it's just me and my little brother heading up as obv mum and dad want to be here if their first grandchild is born and mum is one of leannes birthing partners anyways!

Wow! Busy week! I hope it all works out the way you want it to. And the way you are at the moment I wouldnt be at all surprised if there WAS a loss on Thursday!! xx
 
I'm not counting on it!! The 2weeks I did have alcohol = a 2lb gain. The 2weeks I didn't = 5.5lb loss ... i'll be thrilled if there is though!
