Well, slightly gutted about the curry paste. I looked up the tikka, and it said 1 syn per tablespoon. I put it in my basket, and then went about looking for LF natural yog to put in it like it recomended. I then thought, I can't be bothered with faffing with a large tub of yog, so went to go back to the curry section to put it back.

I then noticed the rogan josh, and read the label and it was about 40 cals per 100g less calories than the tikka. I thought, oh look it might be better for me than tikka and doesn't need yoghurt/cream in it.

[strike]Then googled the syns to double check and it's 3 syns per tbsp instead of 1 :( WAHHHH[/strike]

Just tripple checked and it is 2 syns per tbsp! thats a little better!

I'm back! :eek:

I've been super busy recently (two uni deadlines and a visit from my mum) so I've just not had time to come on!

I did fall of the wagon for a few days, but I haven't gone completely mad. A lack of shopping and planning and being busy had just put SW on the back burner for a while.

The bad news Saturday's weigh in I gained 2lb :(

BUT i'd not been completely on plan all week due to one thing or another, so I wasn't majorly bummed, but I was hoping for a STS.

I have decided to change my WI now however to a Thursday, so i'm hoping I can lose the 2lbs by then. I'm totally planning for 4 days of 110% :D

Slighly over on syns, but I wasn't expecting to have the fajitas for tea. Didn't eat till 10pm on the evening as the OH came home late from uni.

I was under syns yesterday, so i'm not too bothered about going over.

It may been nearly four years.......... but I'm back!

I'll try to keep my catchup quick :)

I did fine, stayed at around 9st 8lb for like, ever. I finished university, was still working in the pub so I could keep staying in Sheffield.
Then I went through a break-up, suprisingly lost weight with that! stayed at 9st 3lbs, worked a whole lot, tried saving some pennies to get out of my student overdraft.

Then I met a boy, and that was the start of something great! Now this one loves food, but not cooking. Mostly food of the instant type, so we enjoyed lots of nights of takeaways, treats. I got a new job in a call center for more money, but... long hours sat on a chair combined with no movement lead to putting weight on.

The Moment came when I noticed that my fancy underwear were digging into my sides and I just couldn't wear them. I felt just so unattractive and blurgh.

So I decided to take the plunge and go to an actual SW group to have the support that I think I would need this time around.
And here I am.
 
Right, so first day back on the plan after 4 years. Kinda felt like greeting an old friend, but trying to remember that things have probably changed since the last time I looked. It's like I knew what the right choices were, but were choosing to ignore them. Having that cookie or flapjack instead of the apple or banana.

So, right onto it!

Friday 20th Feb

I was feeling super hungry as I had been awake for a long while, and bought most of my lunch in Sainsburys. Annoyingly, I just couldnt find the syns for the pasta thing on the app, or on the website when I went home so I used the syns for the equivalent thing in Tesco (which I could find). The first few days on this I have been super hungry so far.

We went to the pub after the course where I just drank diet coke, and picked the chicken salad. I used to work there so I know that the chicken is cooked on a griddle with no oil or anything and was listed as under 400 cals so I'm sure that there will be no (or minimal) syns. Came out at 9 for the day so even if there was I have allowed room for them.

Long day at work today, but wasnt feeling very hungry until the evening. I am having an operation on tuesday and cant eat anything all day so made sure I had a huge tea! Left enough syns to make sure I could have takeaway to fill that hole :)

Tuesday 24th Feb

This seems like a horrible day, but I was in hospital all day and forced to eat nothing until I went into theater at 3:30 (getting up at 8am!) Managed to stay within syns which I was much suprised about! But after not eating all day and being woken up after anesthetic I was going to eat anything they put in front of me haha.

Lil background on the hospital visit if anyone is interested. In January last year I went to the doctors because I had a random pain on my right hand side of the stomach, got told they thought it might be a urine infection but couldn't really tell, gave me some antibiotics and I was on my way. It went away after a few days, and I thought nothing about it.

Then September came about, and I woke up with a horrible pain at about 5am, and me and the boy went into A&E. I was honestly thinking appendicitis at the time. We went in, they thought it could be kidney stones and decided that I needed to have a few scans to have a good look. They found no stones, but did find some lovely dermoid cysts, about 6cm in diameter. I went to work the next day with lots of painkillers after spending like 8 hours there, and after about 4hrs at work the pain just was not going away, so I left and went to the walk in center where I was in excruciating pain, and was reffered on the spot to hospital! I went straight in, had to talk to a lady for what felt like hours before I got any painkillers and was admitted. They were talking about taking me in for surgery there and then, but after a discussion they said that it might not be something that they would do now as the pain had gone away, but we'll book you in for an appointment with a specialist, as I may be that my overy has twisted around due to the weight of the cyst, but as they couldn't tell on the scans and ultrasounds they didn't want to dig around.

I went to the appointment and was put on the waiting list and here I am. Apparently it was just on cyst on my right overy, but it had twisted twice which was causing all that pain! So now all I am allowed to do is be waited on hand and foot for a few days whilst I recover. This does mean that I cant make it to class this week so I'm going to one next tuesday morning.

I hope you enjoyed my bit of gross background reading about my situation ahaha! This does mean my boyfriend is cooking for me, and i'm not sure if he completely 'gets' slimming world. He is very supportive of me though :)

Slightly over on syns today, I forgot about tomato ketchup on my burger and just plonked it on! And I totally forgot to have my HEA of milk seeing as I did not have cereal :D


I have to say, I do have a bit of a gripe about the slimming world app, it just seems really difficult to actually find the thing you are looking for!
I can put literally exactly what it says on the packet and it comes up with random stuff! I put chicken tomato basil pasta in which was a Sainsburys good for you one.

I got cheese.
Search results came back on cheese, just cheese. No mention anywhere of any pasta or chicken!

I had to kinda guess with the sauce packet, because as I mentioned earlier, I just cannot seem to find anything on bloody syns online!! Gone with the same syns for the Blue Dragon Stir Fry sauce packet (and halved as it was between two)
