JanD's Maintenance Diary. Week 38 onwards.

Awww bless. They have helped massive amounts i imagine :)

Jan, 0.4lbs ... still, its in the right direction isnt it!!! :D :D well done x

Well done on the loss Jan!! Still a loss and not a gain :)

The soup does sound a good idea....cause you can have as much of it as you like - eh!!!!!! Soup always fills me up and I do enjoy it!

Hope all the family get back to normal after the marathon....take my hat off to them...would absolutely LOVE to do a marathon, or half one even!

They've raised about £10,000 between them :):):)

Iris .... what's stopping you??? ;):):) ... as a fellow arthritis sufferer I don't really need an answer to that although lots do run it ;) xx

 £10,000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hats off to them. What troopers! :D

£10k!! Waw...what a great amount!
Oh, Jan I would dearly love to; but I tried to do a 5k and the doc ordered me not to even walk it as I was that bad!!! But, I do run now in the gym, I can run around 2-3 miles but I do feel it in my knee...suppose dont want to damage it any more than it is as they wont operate till I am in my 60s so it has got a few years yet to carry this frame around!

One day I will do a 10k but walk/run it!! I am determined...I get so jelous (in a good way) when I see people run!! I just wish I could do it :-( All that money that people have raised though is fab - eh!!!!!

There was a group of them - but even so ... I'm very proud xx

Iris ... certainly not worth hurting yourself for!! I did a Race for Life in 2000 .. that's probably all I'll ever do :) xx

Well I've had a shocking day foodwise! (apart from a 'normal breakfast) I now know why I couldn't do this when I had small children ... well you HAVE to taste that the ready brek isn't too hot and you HAVE to have a spoonful yourself now and then so you can go MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM and make them want to eat more :eek::eek: ????

And you HAVE to eat the other half of the piece of bread because the little fella only has a half .. be rude not to and it's too bland without a bit of that grated cheese you just spotted in the son's fridge to liven it up.

It'd then be COMPLETELY rude and unappreciative of your DIL's Marathon achievement if you didn't accept a few of the 'heroes' she was bought for doing it.

Then of course you don't feel like your soup so you carry on with your day until you're about to take your mother & wheelchair etc to the supermarket and realise you're a bit peckish and see her bag of chocolates on the table .. couple of them'll do .... and then a couple more when you get back before taking her to the doctors.

And then when you're putting her shopping away that homemade loaf looks really nice and the crust on the end is REALLY small .. dry though without a bit of clover and a bit of coleslaw.

Rushing home and heading staight for the open bottle of wine in the fridge & topping it up with soda is the only remedy for having had to go back to the doctors because all the requisitions for blood/urine tests etc have some random never before heard of person's name on them!!!

PHEW!!! Don't feel like my tea now  ... sure I'll make up for it later though :( xx

Jus' one o' them days ;);):):) xx

yum yum yum!

You not have work this week Jan, what with all the alcohol consumption going on! ;)

It's my weekend on Tan ..... I know!!!!! I'm awful where the old booze is concerned! Fri sat & sun though I'll be doing my negative calorie soup and very little else. Friday lunchtime I have a friend coming so I'm doing baked salmon & roasted veg. I'm planning a really 'good' weekend. xx

Ahhhhh ... weekend working!

Whats negative calorie soup all about?!!! x

Theory is negative calorie food takes more calories/energy to digest than it contains ..... google 'negative calorie diet' and you'll find loads, however I can't find there the 'diet' I have so if you want it let me know and I'll scan it and send it to you.... don't be paying to download stuff! xx
