JanD's New Year, New Start, Maintenance Diary

hahah Yes, catalogues or ordering online can be a nightmare but i too hate changing rooms and trying stuff on. I always get really hot & flustered and annoyed cuz im getting hot then annoyed cuz i need a different size then anoyed because im getting even hotter ... can you get the picture?! lol x

Aww thats a pity Tanya!!! I wouldnt be much of a shopper myself think its cause I work in retail and spend over 40hrs a week in a shop I tend not to choose to spend my free time there lol

I can't be bothered shopping either in recent months but I discovered Boden catalogue a couple of years back and wear loads of their stuff, free returns too .....Paul wears it too!

Thanks girlies :) I can try both of those shops this week :).... I wouldn't order on line, I'd have to try them on.

Jan, was that all you ate?

Happy shopping Jan, I hope you find some nice jeans that you feel comfortable in.

Well yes it was Mary - but I didn't get up till 6pm so not bad in that time I don't think ;)

As long as I get my head in the right place I don't mind trying things on, & when you know you're gonna do it and dress accordingly it's not TOO much of a problem.

I had a look at that Boden site last time you mentioned it Sandra ... bit more than I'm prepared to pay for stuff to be honest ... nice though it is. xx

Ta Missis ;) :D xx

I've had to make lots of edits to today's menu ... not much hope for tomorrow ... unless the weigh in fairy likes her V&Cs & snacks too ;) xxx

:cross: for tomorrow Jan xx

:fingerscrossed: Jan :D
I'm chickening out i'm afraid!

Ta guys - I've never had this many of the lushies before ..... we'll see ;) xxx

How'd it go? How'd it go? How'd it go??!!!!!! x

Ha Ha ... sorry guys been out most of the day .... just 1lb off. I'm oddly okay with it. I'd LIKE it to be quicker obviously but I am finding pp-ing relatively easy so may just stick with that little bit each week. Provided it continues it should still see me where I want to be before Oz - though I have wondered about doing 3 days of my veg soup just to get a bit of a boost.

Went to see The King's Speech this afternoon. I enjoyed it. The cinema is in a retail park so afterwards went to Next ..... remembered it's not just trying things on at home that get's me in a strop!!!! Size 14 dress MASSIVE!!! Size 12 too snug on the boobies. Size 14 jeans - nowhere near fastening. Size 16? 'Boyfriend' style too low on the waist but really nice. Only waist high ones 'flared', too tight on thighs and plain old boring dark denim. Together with which I looked an absolute 'cut' in both of them - I don't know what I'm thinking about trying to come out of me lazzies - I can really do without this depression .. never mind stressing about losing another 8lbs - looking in that changing room mirror I need to lose another 2 stones!!!!!!! (It got to me - can you tell?? :() Anyway - all over now, don't know if I'll bother with anywhere else.

Believe it or not I HAD decided I wasn't going to have a drink tonight - I fancied a decent meal instead (including some carbs!) but (I know - ANY excuse) the first thing I did when I got in was open a bottle!!!

Sorry for long post - I'll get over it ;)

Monday 31st January

Lunch - Soup with slice bread 3pp

2 diddy clems in cinema

Tea - 30g chicken, 2 turkey rashers, brocolli & leek, el mayo 2pp

mango, meringue nest, ww yog 2pp

wine 18pp

ww begian choc slice 2pp

Well done on the 1lb Jan, thats great. I am pleased for you that you are pleased with the loss.

Now come on girl, dont beat yourself up over a pair of Jeans, you probably went to one of the worst places for jeans to be honest.

Chin up, enjoy the wine, enjoy your meal, and get out shopping again tomorrow. You will probably be okay in size 14 jeans in other shops.

It wasn't the size Mary .. I'm over what size I have to buy - as long as they fit. It was the discrepancy in sizes in the same shop but moreso the sight I looked .... bleedin' awful!! AND the fact that someone, somewhere has decided that you can only have waist high things in one style. Oh just ignore me ... I've never ever got on with trying stuff on, horrible little changing rooms etc .... Maybe the biggest disppointment was that I can still get that way even though I've lost 5st. The mirror still doesn't reflect what I think it should :( ... HaHa ... what a wally ;) xxx

Well done on the 1lb loss Jan :)

I always find jeans don't suit everybodys shap etc. I really struggle too to find jeans that suit my shape so maybe jeans just arent for you! hehe

Keep on with the long posts, afterall its what our diaries are for! :D xxx
