Was going to update with today's food, but am absolutely shattered. Have had a few weeklies but have also walked six miles plus. Early hospital appointment in the morning for second, and I hope last, scan, and then having the rest of the day at the coast, so not sure when I will update, but am tracking, so will post it up here when I can. Night night all.
Wow that's a lot of walking! Hope u get on ok at the Hospital Sweetie.Have a lovely day at the Coast, where is nearby to you? X
Hope the hospital scans turn out okay MW.. well done on all that walking.
I haven't been to the coast for absolutely ages myself...don't see the point of going all that way, hunting for a parking space just to dodder along the front for five mins have a cuppa and then come home.... long way for just a cuppa!..
I've never been to Great Yarmouth! I don't think your diaries sound like a 'Junk Fest' I think they sound like a Yummy Fest! I love how u track it all too The key to success is definitely to track track track! X
Congrats on your 3lb loss!
I've been to Great Yarmouth, it's lovely!
Right, not going out today, except to take a load of garden rubbish to the dump later. I have loads to do and apart from breakfast and coffee, I haven't really made a start yet, so time to get on with some paperwork, washing, and hopefully a bit of gardening. Have also promised OH a chocolate cake. Will make the flourless one from here, so I can have a piece too. Scales this morning show down nearly a pound, so got to keep on track for the rest of the week until Saturday's WI. Looks like the walkathon did a good job!
Well I've not been officially diagnosed, Serena, but I have had problems with wheat for years, and recently it has got a lot worse, so over the last few months I have done a lot of reading about it, and am quite sure I need to give it up completely now. I have been wheat/gluten free since the beginning of August, apart from a slip up with some sausages (ooh-er, missus!), where I really paid the price for days afterwards! I am accepting that it will need to be a permanent change, which tbh is worth it, with how much better I feel already.
Tuesday 20th August
Breakfast - 2 pieces of GF toast with lavender cream cheese and honey again. Left off the butter today, so only 7PP
Lunch - no lunch as such as was busy sorting out paperwork and tackling the spare room (read junk room!) I realised it needed doing when I wanted to get something at the back and couldn't actually find anywhere to put my feet down on the floor! Made the choc cake and had a piece of that with loads of our plums (4PP)
Dinner - late trip to the dump, Lidl's for cat food and milk, and then Pizza Hut for their 'Twos-day Tuesday' takeaway deal. Two pizzas for the price of one! I had their gluten free spice supreme, but only ate three pieces, which was half of it. The rest is in the fridge for tomorrow, or to freeze for another day. (15PP). Also grabbed some vine cherry tomatoes when we got home.
Snacks - one finger of a twirl (3PP), grapes, plums
Drinks - water, earl grey and vanilla chai teas, one coffee and cream (3PP)
Total 32PP, 29 dailies and 3 weeklies. Weeklies remaining 17. No APs today, but will be back walking again tomorrow.
Not eating a lot of fruit or veg this week, but am technically on holiday, so will just go with it. A few weeks of less than healthy eating here and there is just the way life is sometimes. Am eating plenty of plums every day, which is better than nothing!
Well, probably not, because to get tested youo have to re-introduce wheat once or twice a day for six weeks, to make it a proper test, and for coeliac, to re-introduce the antibodies into your body. There are also people who test negative, either for coeliac, gluten intolerance or sensitivity but who know from their body that when they stop eating it their health improves so much that they are sure there is a sensitivity there. I have had IBS for years too, but so many of the symptoms of that have gone too, that I am wondering if in my case the wheat/gluten has been partly responsible all this time. Which would be ironic as the Doctors always used to say to eat more wholewheat to help the IBS!Sounds as though it might be the cause then, will u get properly tested in the future to confirm it? I have my own problems with IBS so I know how awful it can be when food upsets your tummy :-( x
I didn't know Pizza Hut did GF! I know Dominos have started doing it! I think everyone has weeks where they eat more fruit n veg than others and plums are definitely good for you I love Plum Crumble, not so healthy in that way! X

Yes, I'll keep on taking the plums! Tee-hee! We did go to Dominos first, but their gluten free base isn't included in their offer, as it only comes in small, and the offer is for medium and large only.
Pizza Express also do gf now. I think one of them started working with the Coeliac Society to develop one and get their accreditation, and the others realised they could be missing out if they didn't do the same! It was pretty good- and Pizza Hut make theirs a different shape -they are rectangular, so you can't get them mixed up, which is a good idea.
