Red Riding Hood diary take two - deliver the picnic basket don't eat it!

I'd like to use a very rude word to congratulate you - but not doubt that would get blanked out.
Well done just doesn't seem adequate.

So have some of these :talk017::bliss::happy096:

Blimey, there's no stopping you is there!! Stone award and 4lb a week for 4 weeks! Couldn't be happier for you! Are you feeling a big difference now in your clothes and general wellbeing? You must have gone down a size and be fitting into some of the things you had before that had got a bit on the tight side?! XXX

I know, I know but the end of last week was to make up for the wine in fairness. Anyway today I am having a Green day (always like to do them on weigh in day) for the carbs. I'll be having more syns Pommette, I'll make a conscious effort - or I know you will tell me off.

So I have had time to look round the site today and have discovered the lemon thread, where lemons have boosted weight loss. Now for years I drank lemon in hot water and then stopped so today I had a whole lemon squeezed of juice and left half the lemon in added hot water and some sweetner and some cayenne pepper - it was actually quite nice. I have no idea if it works or not.

I also saw someone mention cauliflower rice - so after a net search I found a couple of recipes and I am going to try this on the next red day I have. Making lentil dahl tonight to have with bulgar wheat and rice will stick some spinach in it too (of course!) and some grated carrot.

Anyway thank you both for your congrats. It's all very well getting some off, it's the sticking with it that is tricky as I know and I have a loooooooooooooong way to go.

Curls I do feel better than I did, less back ache and just feel better for doing something about it. I'm not sure I have dropped a size yet, it usually takes me a bit longer to do that, but that's ok. It's going to take a while. How are you Curls? How are things? xx

Ok I have to take my youngest for his school meeting - he starts school for the first time in August (I can't believe my baby - or not a baby as he tells me - is old enough for school).

Thank you Pomette your good luck wishes must have worked as ...

weigh in today ......

I lost 4lbs - hooray
:D

OH MY GODDY GOD! Well done! Your losses put me to shame, seriously! Keep going Red!!!

xxxxxx

One of the ladies I chat to on here uses mashed caulie as a topping for shepherds pie etc instead of spud.
And Trango uses it to make gravy - she said even her kids like it.

Sorry for absence I have been catching up with friends since I have more free time and doing that has left me with no free time for here! Been taking the kids to the park a lot as it's sunny too. I have been on plan though although the green days were lighter on the superfree than I prefer. Here are the last 2 days and today so far - which I haven't completed yet - Pommette there will be more syns!!!:) I hope you also note the upping of syns over the last few days too. Tonight I am trying cauliflower rice ... we shall see

Melissa - what exactly do you mean by cauli rice? Are you just shoving a cooked cauli through a ricer or is it some new and weird form of rice?

:D It is not a new and weird form of rice. What you do is cut the cauliflower into small florets then pop them in the food processor and process them into grain like size, then put them in a dish, cover with cling film and microwave them for 2-3 mins, add salt and pepper and anything else (I added chilli - of course!) to taste.

I think it is actually a mainstay of low carb diets but I hadn't come accross it before last week Look: Cauliflower "Rice" Recipe - How to Make Cauliflower Similar to Rice there are tons of recipes if you put it into goodle although they are all similar in prep. It doesn't really taste like you are eating a mass of cauliflower.

Well we had the BBQ and I can report I avoided the potato gratins, colslaws, pasta salads with oil, burgers, bread rolls and had weight watchers sausages I brought with me (3 so 1.5 syns) and a piece of chicken - it had some synable (I think) marinade on it. I brought my own salad and had that for lots of superfree. I also avoided the icecream and just had strawberries. I did not, however, avoid the wine, but the damage wasn't too hefty and I think with judicious balancing of syns until weigh in any damage *should* be negligible. (I hope!!) because I'm so sick of looking like I do.
