I'm actually not in a class at the moment, I'm doing it all myself from home. I'm sure you can just arrive at the classes though... I think they have more info in their website (not sure about the UK but the irish site has a list of places and times of WW meetings).
I think a lot of people go for the "monthly pass" where you can use their online tools plus go to unlimited meetings? Are you from the UK yeah? I think its about 7 pound for a meeting there? Xx

There are loads of ways of joining or go it yourself. You can join online and weigh from home, that's a cheaper way of doing it. That's what I do and have lost 22lb. Have you got an iPhone? There's a fab AP on that I use to help too. Look on eBay you can buy all the books, calculator etc on there. Go on the WW website and look on there, then subscribe to diaries on here to give you inspiration.
I think WW would possibly be more successful than the Atkins coz it's like a complete "change your eating habits" for life, unlike the Atkins which I believe to be a quick short term fix.

I am honestly so happy on this diet-go on do it:)

Hi there, sorry to butt in! But the classes in uk are £ 5.95, or 19.99 a month. I pay monthly, u pay 12.99 to start then it comes out of ur bank about a month later so it's quite a bit of a saving when u start! I personally can't do the weighing at home, I need to go to classes for them to weigh me n also find stopping for meetings helps, get really goof tips n nice to hear other peoples stories! I just cheat when I do it myself xx
 
Tracy.. WW is not a diet.. Its a healthy eating program.. .lmao (just kidding.. that's what our leader always corrected in a real teacher sort of voice) hee hee..
Yea WW is defo the way to go.. U can have literally ANYTHING at all in moderation as long as its within yer allowance n still lose.. And the new PP program is so much easier to stick to long term.. Its defo a 'change yer habits' way of thinking..
Ya just turn up to the class and join the queue.. I'd recommend going to class for a few weeks at least til ya get to grips with the program if ya'v not done it before.. But then again.. Sarah (azwethinkweiz) started on her own having never been to a class ever.. If ya hav that will power, go for it.. But that had to be tough (so proud of our Sarah for doing as well as she has without any class support) x
 
I'm loving the sound of this diet?? What is it exactly ww pro?? Weightwatchers pro?? or something else....I'm really struggling with atkins.....and its only been 4 days....just want a cup of tea and bread!!! Must say I think you look great claire bear - id like to get from 13 stone down to 9......x

I also just do it myself, once u get to grips with the point system and points in foods, its pretty easy - joining here is good as you learn lots and find out about yummy foods u can have !! Atkins isnt great for your health long term, whereas ww is more of a lifestyle, i think i could comfortably live on a ww plan as it gives u so much flexibility ... like last week, i went a wedding and ate choc fudge cake, chips, curry and pizza ... and ive lost half a pound still this week as it was all within my points ........ :cool: we will all big ww up on here, so u come to the right place xxxxx oh n by the way a crispy creme doughnut is only 6pp :eek: .............. so u can deffo have one or two of them in your weeklies !!!

I got someone to buy me a ww calculator from a meeting (you can also buy online - try ebay) ..... and i just take the packet of the food .. you need protein, carbohydrate, fat and fibre ... this tells you the points in the food your eating .... and a quicker method is to divide the calories in the food by 40 ... for eg, 120 calories = 3pp ..

You need to find out how many points you can have in a day (anyone on here can tell ya, and theres calculators online ) for eg, i have 29 pro points a day and a further 49 weekly points of which you can spend on anything you like - alcohol, meals out, chocolate ....... usually if there is a food you want to eat, if you google it, theres always someone whos pro pointed it ........ i hope this helps ......

Yeh I second that with the iwatcher! It has a calculator on it and it's only 69p as apposed to 9.99 for a ww calculator xx

Magri-Jade, I use an app called WWDiary on my Samsung Galaxy S (if you've an android phone), its free and it calculates daily pp, calculates pp in food AND has a diary for tracking. :) xx

You are dead right Frances I stand corrected I don't ever feel like I'm on an actual diet I feel I make better choices now and hope I continue to do so. I'm never hungry either.
