Susie and Orbit's daily dribble

Afternoon all - sorry for being awol but had a 13 hour work day yesterday and today is a bit frantic too! But got a few moments now :)

Been very bad carb wise this week - was just saying to Vicky, it's really hard to organise food when you're that busy - but just popped in to the local greasy spoon and got a delish omelette - and bless em, they said I could ring my order in and not have to wait :)

How is everyone? Will try and do a big catch up now xxx

Busy busy susie, hi love

Hi Susie, you do sound busy. How nice of the cafe to offer - sounds like customer service to reward:)
You didn't miss anything today except winter again- roll on sunny may (i hope)!

The mooring sounds fab Susie. I've never considered living on a boat but now I'm wishing I didn't have kids to consider lol.

Hey chickster.... you know where I am. xx

Afternoon peeps

Busy again on this lovely sunny day - wish I had a chance to eat lunch outside, but as usual it was at my desk....

Clare I've not been a good little Atkinser, in fact won't even tell you what I had for dinner last night (pizza and wine ) but back on it today. Just can't focus on it right now - there is so much going on at work. But if I'm very lucky I'm going to leave at 4pm to go shopping in Oxford Street :D. On the list is jewellery and new sunglasses, a hot air hair styler and maybe some new bed linen.

Hope you're all having a lovely day!

Afternoon all

The shopping went pretty well, despite millions of people in Oxford Street, got the sunglasses and a hair styler, so mission accomplished.

I have some news - I am going to swap from Atkins to Slimming World - mostly for health reasons, to be honest, although I have been struggling with low carb since I started working again. I've had real problems with sinus infections, especially over the past 10 days, waking up at 4am or earlier most mornings. Woke up completely blocked and in pain at 2am this morning and was on the phone to NHS Direct at 4am. We went through everything I'd been eating and drinking and the lovely nurse (very sympathetic to Atkins) said there were strong links between soya/eggs/high protein and sinus issues, also heavy TOTM for some people. I went and googled and it seems to be the case for me, with major sinus problems and at least two heavy and painful periods a month. I've been awake since then and have had plenty of time to think in the wee hours, and eventually decided to change over to SW, as I've done it before and did well on it.

This isn't a decision I've taken lightly but as those of you who have met me in person know, I really need something that is going to work for me long term, because of the amount I have to lose.

I hope that you'll let me stay on this forum though - you've become friends, dear friends, and I would hate the thought of not chatting and laughing with you.

Sxxx
